    • @GroundHOG-2010
      @GroundHOG-2010 6 лет назад +34

      Will Barton was in the same draft class but he was also an early 2nd rounder. He didn't get much play all year and was chained to low time because he wasn't a good defender nor was he a good shooter. He was just kinda bad. But later on in the season they lost Batum, then Mathews, and were playing their starting center JJ Hickson a lot less time. They ended up packing it up for the season and running the rookies and in doing so Barton got some consistant time. And while his 3pter still sucked arse, he started putting together some good 17-22 point games on decent 2pter efficency if you leave out this Laker game where he did really poorly. This sort of saw what he could become when he was unleashed (which he was, just not in Portland) and was actually quite needed since they needed more scoring from somewhere and it wasn't coming from the rest of the bench like Victor Claver, Meyers Leonard, post-injury Eric Mayor, Luke Babbett, etc.

    Nice lil game from Lillard, he got Kobe's attention with his attitude alone.
    But let's not forget who was the most dominant. Kobe Bryant was in his 17th year and was averaging 26pts, 6 Reb, & 6 assists per game at this point and played this ENTIRE GAME.
    The next game he got injured and was never quite the same. That injury robbed us of something special.

It’s a risk you take. R.I.P Kobe. I mean he was out there for 48 mins guarding rookie lillard and Aldridge like he should not have been trying to do this every game. He did this damn near all season. He chose to. And as a result, well the warriors game was next, we know what happened. Kobe thought himself invincible and got reality checked. No one could stop him on the court, but if he can’t get on the court, his skills don’t matter. Father Time and injuries Undefeated.
