the pronunciations are stunning...mostly because whoever made the script never told him ONCE how to spell them...yeah it's a fantasy game so pronunciations can be weird and all over the place but ...LORVERTH....really ???? it's VERY HARD TO FIND HOW MOST OF THESE THINGS ARE PRONOUNCED he says in the end ??? im the furthest thing from a grammar Nazi but that's was a capital i not a small L ...and it's only told/shouted in the game like half a billion times no matter the choices....yeah it must have been VERY HARD to fucking find the pronunciation of that, i mean it's only in EVERY video EVERYWHERE on youtube of act 2 ....this made the video jump from funny to straight on bad production

How do you fuck up "Roche", the name of a character you meet within 3 minutes of firing up the game? Such a lazy amount of research done here.

Man if this was a fantasy NOVEL we could forgive the mispronunciation much easier, but it's a fantasy VIDEO GAME with voice acting which *tells* you how to pronounce them, lol
Tbh watching this because I want to know the Witcher 2 storyline without suffering through the crappy mechanics
Play on playstation, I didn't think the mechanics were that bad (but it's been years since I played it) mechanics for Witcher 3 are better on PS4 as well. On PC I think it's just to bogged down or something, I've got Witcher 3 on both playstation and PC. On PC enemies never seem to stagger and Garalt jumps around and gets stuck more, with your sword just passing through them but still doing damage. It's weird, but I think it actually does run better on console.

Unpopular opinion, but as a story and a game, I much preferred Witcher 2 over Witcher 3.
However, one of my gripes with the games is that Yennefer is nowhere to be seen on the first 2 games, and you are just supposed to accept that Yennefer is Geralt's one true love, and not Triss who has been a major character in the first two games and Geralt's obvious love interest. Of course, when you expand on the whole lore of the Witcher, it is plainly obvious, but from playing the first two games, the third one seems out of place.

Holy Jesus we get it guys, he mispronounced some names and it "hurts" you. We know this because literally. every. single. comment has mentioned it. I for one would like to thank the uploader for getting me caught up! I just bought Witcher 3 and didn't feel like playing 100+ hours of gameplay to get up to speed.

This was sucj a good game. Dinno why ppl hated it. I read in a reddit because they had to craft potions lol. Triss was better, roche was better and wgen i saw dandelion in 3 i was like wtf. Im glad for appearance changes in witcher 3

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the plot (Vernon Roche) -- because there really isn't a complex one centering YOU. You are just a bystander at an environment where multiple factions with their own interests collide. You are just "hovering along" there with all powerhungry people trying to exploit you. You are not the center of a story - I loved it!
My Witcher didn't care for politics or take sides. I don't kill humans because other humans are asking me to, only monsters for coin. Letho was crossing this line by working for Nilfgaard - however it still wasn't my task as a Witcher to kill HIM.
I was there, taking part but I wasn't there to change the course of the big picture.

Witcher 2 deserves better than a less than 7 minute video and painful mispronunciations, honestly expected better from this channel. I mean you didn't mention a lot of the plot lines involving the war and the important choices that could change how the story plays out, some of the choices made affect The Witcher 3 for crying out loud.

God lord, I couldn't finish the video. You murdering the names was too much, which also makes it obvious you didn't even play the games. If you did, you would have heard the correct way to say some of these names. Either way, takes away for the authenticity of the video.
Exactly my experience. Don’t pretend to summarize a game you didn’t even play. And the lack of research makes it worse, a simple video of cutscenes would reveal how everything was pronounced. Plus, the summary in itself is so general it misses all storylines

It's not just this guy. Or this series. There's a predilection that many gamers seem to have to intentionally continue to mispronounce words. It's as if they're asserting themselves in some adolescent way by so doing.
Once upon a time, I used to know a guy named Jeff who did this constantly.
So I started calling him Jorfry, Jeeoff, Jeef, and callously mispronouncing the names of things he liked. It made him really mad. Fuck him.
