Oh, and the only time I've ever heard of the in-line resistor(s) on the focus wire is to change the voltage in order to get the correct voltage for good focus. The only cases I've seen/heard of this is after doing a tube swap where the new tube won't focus all the way - even after turning the focus POT all the way clockwise. In theory, the resistor(s) are supposed to bring that voltage down into a range that will achieve proper focus. I don't have any experience trying this, but that's what I've heard. With that said, I have NO clue why they'd have that wire going to ground as well.

Those look like the Happ rebranded K7000 style chassis aka "Vision Pros". I have a few of them and they produce some really vivid pictures - love 'em. Great video, by the way.

those are not the Tovis MTG-2901, they are K7000s, specifically the later model K7900 as evident by the rainbow ribbon cable to remote board and its cream colored appearance. to your point though, the MTG-2901/K7300 does in fact look nice. LOL

Oh interesting. I just repaired a couple 7901s and both were green colored, and neither had the rainbow cable or remote board. Then again, I suppose it's possible the board was simply removed and POTs were installed on the chassis. Anyhow, keep up the good work!

I actually learned this long ago from your chan on a repair years back, that resistor is from touch screen games to lessen the static on the screen like on megatouch, etc. It def affected the flyback levels on your other vid as well. Nice fixes as always sir, ty for sharing!

I didn't know the K7000's had the ability to be converted for inverted colors. This is awesome as I need to build a chassis for a Nintendo Punch-out, and now I already have a solution sitting here. Great info Mike!
