And in today's Country Music world, they would have sent him home and told him not to come back when he hit town. The music these days can't even spell Country, much less sound like it. Thank God for RUclips, Sirius XM, Pandora and the like. Murder on Music Row called it right on the barrelhead. They killed Country Music, cut out it's heart and soul. They got away with murder, down on Music Row.

It’s a song about himself that he and Merle Haggard recorded together in the 80’s and the title is No Show Jones. A tongue in cheek song about his nickname

The starday and musicore years are the best, he had some good noteworthy songs in the late 70's-80's but you can't touch the early stuff. She thinks I still care, Open pit mine, and Burn another Honky tonk down are amazing. Warm red wine is an amazing cover , and one of my favorite Jones recordings.

I worked for george for 12 years. He was getting 15,000 a show before his death. Allways booked next to a casino for nancy gambling addiction. George disowned his daughter at the end of his life. Georgetia ? The one by tammy W. She was blocked by george and nancy from communicating with them and was left out of the will on purpose all because of her greed. Now days you’ll find nancy gambling away his legacy. She ended up selling most of the his items in the museum that only lasted a year in downtown nashville. Pretty sad if you know how his legacy was in the end.

This man's music just speaks so deeply to my soul. I have always loved Appalachian music but when I found Tyler Childers I found myself. So many things to love but the gospel style songs changed my life, Way of the Triune God felt like the song I had looked for my entire life and defines so much of my own walk with Jesus. When I first heard Space and Time, it felt like a song from the future that had came back in time to help me through the present. Seeing him live is literally the only thing on my bucket list even as listening to recordings is always a spiritual experience for me. His music comprises at least 25% of all my playlists and I NEVER fail to stop and tune my brain in no matter how many times I hear him every day.

Just caught BMFS again a couple nights ago. To answer your 2 questions, when introducing Billy to people I point to Creek as the song that captures much of his musical diversity and energy. Doing a vignette on Willie Watson would be interesting. Especially since he is now doing more regular touring.

I really enjoyed it and learned a lot about Chris and his wife. I heard his powerful lyrics during the concert and instantly became a fan. Country Music needs more artists like Chris Stapleton in my opinion. Looking forward to future content from you at The Western SIde.
