Found lost dog street band and Benjamin Tod right before I deployed to Syria in 2019. I downloaded every song they had and listened to them through daily. Their songs solely got me through that deployment. I still listens to them everyday and put anyone I can on them. Thank you kindly Tod

I just stumbled on your channel today and it’s awesome man. There’s so many channels that do deep dives on indie rock/punk but this is the first I’ve seen doing indie country. Keep it up man!

The song was actually on a very early lost dog Street band album, which Benjamin Tod is the lead singer for. Put on his latest solo record it is titled "songs I swore I'd never sing"and Wyoming ended up on the album because it's one of the songs that made him feel a certain way, the rest of them are new tracks (at least in the sense of the songs being recorded). It's interesting to hear it now with his voice so refined and perfected versus back then when he was still kind of a punk country rocker

mmm, not really man. This song was written as you said, in the early lost dog street band, where he was really young (early-mid 20s). It's a song that depicts a lot about the feelings and thoughts that came with that youth for benjamin, not precisely something nice as you can see with this song. This was the same case for his best friend Nicholas, who committed suicide couple of years later after this song and album was recorded. This song was recorded with him, not sure if he was even a co-writer and ben says it never felt right to play the song with Nicholas. It was more that approach and how he says the cards could have easily flipped and Ben being the one to take the big step, if you know what i mean...

Evinrudin’ is a song you should do next, surprised me, don’t really listen to masculine bloodline but it reminded me of daddy let me drive by Alan Jackson.

Bro.... you missed the mark here. If you're from the West and you've worked in the west. There isn't nothing but heavy industrial work. Usually harvesting natural resources and railway work. That sun is all there is to talk too. And that N. Platte River don't have much to say. There isn't any optimism in this song. This song he is signing to himself because that's all that is there to listen.
