- I'm so grateful for all the music Toby put out into the world and was saddened by his passing earlier this year. I wanted to compile my take on his top songs in honor of his legacy. Let me know what I missed in the comments and your favorite song of his was! There are so many good ones that didn't make the list. Toby will forever be known as one of the greats.

Excellent comment and totally agree! Proud to be an American and proud that my father fought in World War II. Thank you to our soldiers, and thank you for Toby Keith acknowledging and being there for them. Toby was true American and his music will last forever. Such a great artist.

I love all of Toby's songs but Crying for Me and DOn't let the old man in - favorites. My dad had Alzheimer's, he didn't know when he was born or who I or my mom was. He fell and broke his hip and after a wk of being home, I lost my dad Dec. 16th,2022. Lost my mom Feb. 14th,2023. She couldn't go on I guess, without Dad and I watched my mom fade til she passed. They had a good life, lived to be in their early 80s but I miss them and adding Toby as well to that list. I didn't get to see concerts but I did meet him once, and saw him be inducted in the music hall of fame (think that's it) in Muskogee, OK and he was literally a wonder musician and he l loved our home state of OK. I'm in OKC, OK. Thank you for this video.

My son Byron Smotherman is the only person to contribute on Facebook for Toby Keith name all his hit songs even called him the myth the man the legend the icon talked about basically stole that state and had 20 hits my son even said basically in the 90s he grew up listening to his music my son is 6 years old 1990 so when my son first heard Toby Keith he was 9 years old in 1993

I remember when "Should Have Been a Cowboy" first came out and Toby was on a tour called "Triple Threat." This tour was Toby Keith along with John Brannen and Shania Twain. Everyone thought John Brannen was going to be the big breakout star, but Toby had the first hit of the group, and the rest is history. Toby certainly had the longest lasting career, staying on top for most of it. So many great songs over so many years. RIP Toby, we miss you already.

I remember every year looking forward each new set of music that Toby put out and I was of the first ones out there grab it on the first day it came out and when I was down I just put on one of his CDs and it lifted me up we have lost so many great country artists but losing Toby hurt me the most knowing that he's not here no more but thank God above for blessing us with Toby Keith the inspiration to us all now he's up in heaven with the Lord and I will get to meet him someday rest in peace Toby you are truly loved and missed and my prayers go out to your beautiful family and I pray that God will give them the strength they need to get through this painful time in their life God bless you to and God bless your family

I cried for two days in February when Toby left us. His spirit is beyond amazing. My oldest child who was not sold into CW music like his mother, remembers most of his songs. I cry happy tears now BECAUSE I got to be part of his wonderful Oklahoma journey. But I still really miss him. His attitude rocked and no apologies for said attitude. I try to emulate.
