My ex is an alcoholic, he have this breakup makeup cycle, usually I'm the one who reach out to him but last time i left him he begged me to stay and told he would change, he even reached out to my family and friends and put all his effort to get me back and im the only one he wants in his life so he would stop drinking but later he blamed me that i started dominating him and started treating me like shit again and as well je started his alcoholic behavior again, and he often tried to breakup and block me when ever we had any arguments. Recently i accused him of cheating which was something he did long back and i wasn't aware of he told me i didnt trust him amd believed someone else and than brokeup again and blocked me from everywhere since than.

I recently broke up with my girlfriend and was sure it was what I wanted and the right thing to do. Now I'm doubting it and in absolute hell. It's just like as if she had broken up with me, probably even worse.

I was deeply depressed and a functional alcoholic when I broke up with a girlfriend of almost four years. It was probably one of the most painful things I have ever had to do. I worked third shift and long hours but she wouldn't give me a break. She was still in college at the time and expected me to get up after being in bed for maybe an hour to go do something until I had to go back to work in the evenings. I finally broke and ended the relationship. After I ended it I was still depressed but my drinking slowed down in the amounts. I also told my job that I wasn't interested in all the overtime I was being given because I couldn't get caught up on sleep to come back to work that evening. I didn't realize at the time how much my ex girlfriend had me torn down. I was paying my bills along with her books and helping with tuition. Once I got normal sleep then my drinking basically stopped and I came out of the depression.

My ex is emotionally unavailable, avoidantly attached, fly's off the handle at the slightest thing. He's depressed and has a lot to deal with but as a result he didn't give me any peace, he broke up with me 3 times and still expected me to be the woman he first met... I stayed because I had empathy, patience and understanding. There's a sweet man underneath it all and I had too much hope that things would change. My ex blew up and left suddenly. At first he expressed regret but after 6 weeks he became cruel and angry and threatened to block me if I ever called him again... I was nothing but good to him, I only ever snapped when he pushed me to my absolute limit. He may have made the right decision but he didn't put the effort required into the relationship. I broke up with my ex about two weeks ago. The breakup wasn't easy, but I felt so happy and relieved from the moment he was out of my house. I have been handling the breakup well, and my ex is making one mistake after another. We still used to chat, but I'm starting to not even want to hear from him anymore. Even after I told him everything that led to my decision, I have the feeling he is still not listening. I think a lot of men never do and they always think the break up came out of the blue. Also the difference between men and women is that men tend to break up impulsively over smaller things and usually come back after some time (not always). It’s been two years. Every night I fall asleep with her on my mind if I can even sleep at all. Im not happy anymore, I try to feel but it’s always just a mix between anger and pain. I tried visiting her the other day to try and talk to her and maybe salvage something, just to see her ex leaving from her front door. It broke me more than I already was. Well he was an alcoholic that kept leaving for binges he could not hold a job last 5 years over a few days and now he's got no electric no plumbing no water shitting in a bucket he came back to try to stop drinking well that lasted 4 days then I saw he was watching porn every time I was away at the store I filed divorce and got him served on his birthday along with a protection order

I wish he goes through that and regret his decision

Me and my boyfriend for long distance way more long-distance I live in California he lives in Ireland, everything was great between us and the beginning the first four months was long distance and everything was great, he took a flight out here to America and stayed out here with me for 3 months and everything was perfect like I truly saw love between me and him, but then he had to go back home and then things changed me and him were fighting a lot and just at each other's throats all the time and 5 days ago he broke it off with me he didn't even give me a reason, two people who I thought were my friends who are also my friends they decided to personally attack me and blame the whole thing on me saying it was my fault and said that I am immature and a bunch of other things and it's like I don't know why he would do that to me because we were so in love in the beginning and when we had to be long distance again things got tough and it's like he didn't want to try to work through the hardest part of our relationshipand I'm extremely heartbroken at this point because I was actually engaged to this man and we were together for almost a year 7 months of it were perfect the other three were like terrible and I guess the question I'm willing to ask is when a guy breaks up with you is he only thinking about the bad in your relationship will he ever remember all the good that you had😭

Yo, thank you so much for your words of wisdom. In my heart I know why things didn't work out, and I spent so long trying to find more reasons. In the end what is done is done. I'm still in the stage of finding acceptance that it's over. Every day I think about what I could of done better and why I was like the way I was in some moments. I wish he told me how he was hurting but at the same time maybe I should of already known how I could be sometimes. I gave him such hell over the breakup too, I'm just unstable right now and now I really am trying to go no contact for however long it must go for. And maybe after a while I'll have moved on anyways. Not a lot of breakup videos help me (I've been surfing through so many), but yours really do open my eyes more. I really thank you for it.
