Top golfing family :) I love it. And absolutely with all your comments. My gamer is the TP5X but it is hard when it is £4 a ball approx and I am not playing tournament golf, just making content. That is why I opt for the Vice range from time to time. About to put an order in for 5 dozen which then brings the cost down to around £2.50 a ball. Small drop off in spin on the short game I found from the data from the TP5X but thas was the pro plus from a couple of years ago, so will let you know when i test the new 2024 Pro plus ball. Yes if I gamed them I would use for the blue. Found a green one other day and struggled to see it! Fun ball but I just need a bit more spin to control distance on the scoring clubs.

Thanks mate appreciate that. Did a couple of full 18 hole vlogs. The only problem is the time it takes to film as I use 2 cameras on my own and then to edit just a 9 hole course vlog takes about 6-10 hours editing. Hopefully as can grow in the future and have a camera guy etc it will make things a lot more time efficient.

How about the front 9 at Grassmoor. Just got back into golf after a 20 year break and that’s my local course.

He gets to hit balls everyday which helps lol Jasón is very good at Tapton for a lesson if mention the RUclips channel to him if your chesterfield way. But main thing is just keep enjoying it.

@@golfmaddad79 mate… video never puts hills/lumps/bumps into perspective does it? Watching your video, it didnt give off mountainous golf course. Im far too inexperienced, to have played matlock. That was awful, i can see how it could be good but for myself playing every par 4/5 up a steep hill was horrible and dropping every par 3 off a 150 yard cliff was also not ideal. Not rushing back there i’ll be honest.

A bit like Augusta with the videos you just don’t get the perspective of the slopes as you say. Let me know if you play any other local courses and drop me a message how you get in. Keep in touch.

Thanks mate. Really appreciate that. To be honest I hardly get to practise at all. The day job and family is busy but also when I play golf it’s usually filming then the editing takes so long. But hope to find a better balance soon. I guess my key is that I keep chasing speed. Although I need to get constant with the gym again. Closing in on 45 and want to keep getting faster and pushing late 130’s CHS and cruise then at 125 on course. This definetly helps as if you can gain speed that helps through your the bag. I find with my speed then it goes through my bag and I do feel my short game and my short game iq is what helps me massively. I don’t practise putting at all but the odd time I do, I solely practise on the distance control. If can keep big numbers off the card that’s the key. And I’ve taught myself a lot about ground reaction forces over the past 5 plus years but sometimes I get a little stuck taking the club away, which then leads me to get the club to far on inside. My trigger is weight is on the balls of my feet but I move my pressure/ not mass left then right then. I will do a little video on it soon. My start adding things like this into the golf mad dad newsletter which will go to subscribes of the website. But family always comes first like you. And spending as much time with my boy as possible. But main key takeaway. Speed/strength and a good short game def helps with those scores and learning where to miss. Keep in touch and thanks again.

@@golfmaddad79 Blue and Green of course lol 🤣 I’ve always played a soft ball because I love the feel off my wedges from a 100 yds in so I think that’s why I love these so much ! They’re not the longest ball off the tee because they’re so soft but they are accurate and consistent like Pro V1’s from a 160 yds in !

And I wouldn't worry with the driver, I hardly get to hit the driver around this course, so tight but then when you go to an open course, it fees soooo open. I was same as you. Many memories with my dad on the dobin at similar age with a set of clubs off the market when I wasn’t playing football. And those golf good shots stay with us and bring us back for more. :) I was on the course last night and it’s in v good condition.

The large drop in spin I found on the GC3 from the 100 yard shot would def make sense for that.

Fantastic. And absolutely with sticking to one ball. I need to get back to sticking to one gamer ball as when practising I’ve been using different balls and on 130 yards and in the spin has definetly been changing.

I like the feel for sure. The only problem I had was the spin drop from the 100 yard shot. On the GC3 I spin my tp5x at around 10.300 rpm. This ball dropped to around 5900 rpm. But as went up the bag the spin wasn’t much different. But it is a 2 peice ball so always going to drop spin from the shorter clubs.

Thanks Paul. Front 9 def easier to score than the back 9. And I’ve been so busy building the new website etc that my game isn’t as sharp as it was last year. Hopefully get time to fully practise again soon. And absolutely with the staff. I’ve made some good friends there.
