  • This is the golf putting practise drill I use to help with my putting distance control. With my full time day job and family commitments, my practice time is minimal but I find that by doing this drill, it really does help me keep putting simple but also minimise 3 putting out on the course.
    I also developed my own putting clockface feels to enable me to dial in 10ft, 20ft, 30ft, 40ft, 50ft and 60ft putts.
    Everyone will have there own feels on how they control the putting distance but this is what is currently working for me.

    So helpful I’ve been trying to use the position of putter head to foot but anything more than 20ft I struggle to judge

    Definitely going to try this, my tee to green is ok but i loose 90% of my shots on putting

      Let me know if works for you and what your feels are for the distance control. It definitely helps me as dont Get time to practise las i would like.

      There’s definitely something in this. I tried this method out today and although I only got 10 minutes practice before my round it certainly helped with distance control.
      I shall be spending some time on the practice greens dialling this in. Thank you for this great tip. Hopefully it will massively reduce my three putts. Now it’s in my head when I take the putter back.

      Sorry for The late reply. Ive Been at a play centre with the boy all morn! My feels aré Just where I feel the back swing ends. I use The same tempo then back and through. By having the different length backswings and the ‘feels’ where the backswing ends. That’s how i control the distance on my putts. Everybody has to work out what there feels are.

    I sm down to 1, maybe 2 three putts a round. I been getting up and down 3 or 4 times a round though. I like the way it's trending
