- Hi Golf Mad Family, In today’s video I introduce Will to the channel. He is newish to golf and has just been given his first official golf handicap of 25 from the England Golf app. This year he has been bitten by the golf bug and has been hitting thousands of balls at Lesiure Pod Dedicated Venues where he works in between university life. As you will see from his golf swing he will not stay this handicap for very long!
So a fun video with me holding the camera! And to see if we can help improve his on course management, his golfing IQ and bring some of the high numbers he gets down with a few scratch golf tips.

good video really enjoyed seeing Tapton again and Will played good with being filmed.
i have not played for about 10 years just started again trying to get fit after 2 spinal surgery's, I played at Tapton and walton in my younger days , just starting to play again at bonday, but feel like a complete new starter I may have go down the hybrid route now I'm getting older

@@robertl8665 this the 9 holes. But I have a full 18 hole blog on mate from the full course. Check out the danny willet blog I think called it. Or masters champ as he grew up playing there.

Just need to correct the ever so slight over the top movement in his downswing and his handicap will come crashing down even quicker. Great vid, always funny seeing your local course on YT. Just a lens clean wouldn’t go a miss 🤣👍
Lol Defo on the lens clean. Rained that morning when I filmed another video and can never tell until I’m doing the edit!
Can I ask what microphone you use while out playing? Got my own channel and feel i need more interaction like yourself 👍🏼
Rode go 2 wireless mics and I also add a little extra sound quality in post production. Sound is definetly so important. Good luck with it.

By hardest challenge is a lot of my analytics are showing a good number of 40-70 year olds but the big problem is a lot of these people watch the content but are not signed into RUclips so can’t subscribe. I need to be 20 years younger starting out and the 1000 subs would have been easy lol

Did reply but not sure if sent mate. Will def try do the back 9. To be honest it’s not long since all the holes opened up.
Ive been playing for about a year .dont go.as often as id like .he is much better than me.i might need some lessons in my future .😂.qont take him long untill he breaks 90
He gets to hit balls everyday which helps lol Jasón is very good at Tapton for a lesson if mention the RUclips channel to him if your chesterfield way. But main thing is just keep enjoying it.

Golf is a horrible ego sport. I am single figure handicap and still make these mistakes. Great video which really highlights playing the percentage shots and taking the ego out of it. Keep going mate, great swing in there and defo single figure potential. 👍

A 25 handicapper hitting an 8 iron 162 yards? ........cmon!!!
As said it won’t stay that for long for sure on the England app. He’s only just started playing properly and put 4 cards in over the past 2 weeks.
I'd sell a kidney for that swing
