YES!!! No matter how good you think you are - you'll be better! You might even get rid of your putter. A very versatile club not just right around the greens. Can't go wrong!
I use it as a fringe chipper inside of 20 to the pin. A lot more accurate than a putter through cabbage and less disaster prone than a wedge for short distances. Doesn't seem like a cheat to me. Just smart golf
I have ordered one, a Cleveland. I think that i may be able to replace that one club by taking my pitching wedge, 9 iron , and sand wedge out of my bag.
I'm decent with a 56-degree wedge when chipping but I have been using the ChipR for the last 2 years and it's made a positive difference. You just have to know it's limitations some of which you pointed out.
Absolutely. I can see why a lot of people are using this club more and more. The basic chip and run is much simpler and makes shots form bare lies, wet lies etc much more simpler.
I know most people are joking when they say its cheating but some aren't and its weird to me that this is cheating in peoples eyes but a giant modern titanium, 460cc, hollow body driver isn't. You tee off with a wooden driver and I'll chip with my wedge.
Totally agree. For sure some people’s ego will not allow them to have a chipper in the bag but for a lot it would def be worth dropping a club like the 3 wood and popping one of these in the bag and save them self quite a few shots.

Lol I might have to borrow it off my friend again to use it some more :)

Totally agree. I was really impressed with the club and perfect for basic chip and runs which most short game shots are.

Let me know how you get on with it. :)
Love the chipr , I got over any shame when my scores came way down
Lol top stuff. All about what helps us shoot those scores as low as possible.

Golf IQ, release 1, 2 & 3? Been watching Dan? 😊👍
Read his book probably 12 months ago. I changed from a hinge and hold to a release short game guy :)
So is this club allowed ?
Yes the Ping ChipR is, as it is designed to conform with the rules of golf. Apparently.
Yes
chippers are legal as long as they don't have a putter grip, don't have 2 faces, and don't have appendages for aiming
you're doing it wrong .. you're hitting it left when you going to learn?
A while since I made this video.what am I doing wrong? Always looking to learn. Teach me :)
