I think the case of Cassidy Rainwater occurred in the rural part of the Ozarks, so I imagine disturbing things happen in other rural areas too. I used to drive around the backroads regularly and go trail running, but I try to avoid rural places, especially dense forests because it seems too easy to go missing.
