2023 Skoda Octavia 1.0 TSI P0087 Fuel Rail Pressure too Low
This car is still under Skodas New Car Warranty and they’ve failed to fix it twice, on two separate occasions they have replaced the fuel rail pressure sensor
If the first one didn’t fix it why would the second one.

The Jaguar I Pace has a known issue with AC system. The HP & LP pipes that are connected to the compressor fail. To replace this the front Drive Motor requires removal. This is a 12-15hr job and not covered by Jaguar Warranty if the car is older than 3yrs. We can perform this repair for you.

I got a ds4 with a simlar issue afer the wet belt went and had revuild was in a supposed expert garrage for 9 Monts and 9 months of BS only for it not to be rpaierd and still of raod some places are like pulmmers and sparks jsut out to ripp ya off

Great old school diagnosis. Main dealers are not specialists as the majority are code readers and provide a parts canon solution.
What an asshole this guy is,,,,,,,He is ragging on a guy who bought a cheap scantool to try and better himself to understand a little more about his car,,,,,,,So if he belittles this guy,,,Just imagine a new lad starting in the trade,,He walks in on his first day and doesn't have his 5 grand scantool,,,You can be guaranteed that if this guy is looking down his nose at a customer trying to understand and learn about his car a bit better ,,Imagine how small he would make a fellow young mechanic feel,,,what a dick,,,
when you start seeing a load of codes with voltage high and voltage low and CAN terminated,,And module no comm,,,When you see this in multipul modules at the same time,,,,99 percent of the time it's because ether the battery on the car is to low,,Or the battery was disconnected for a while,,,,,Just cancel all the codes,,And only the active ones will come back,,
So your basically telling this guy he shouldn't have bought that cheap scan tool,,Because it doesn't read all the modules ,,Insted he should have bought yours,,I'm sure when he bought it he read the discription,,It tells you on the box,,It only picks up ECU codes,,,,90 percent of the problems that will actually stop a car from running or going is going to be in the ECU,,,I bought a code reader for 17 quid 10 years ago,,That reader saved me a ton of money over the years,,It even saved me once when I broke down in the middle of nowhere,,It was able to tell me that a coil pack was gone,,Which I always carried a spare with me,,,One 8 mm bolt and out came the coil pack,,And in went the new one,,And I was on my way,,,If I didn't have that crappy code reader,,It would have cost me 300 quid to get a tow truck home,,And another probably 100 quid for a garage to look at it,,,Not to mention the headache of not having a car,,,And that was just one time it saved me money,,,I would say to anyone who doesn't have 6 grand to spend on a tab2 ,,or even 200 quid ,,,Get a basic scantool for 30 quid,,Just once you understand it's not going to fix your car,,Or tell you exactly what's wrong,,,But it will point you in the direction,,And from there you can start doing your own research,,That's how I started,,And I eventually got more expensive scan tools as I learned about modules and how they interact with each other,,And also how all the sensors in your car interact,,and what they do,,,just use your common sense,,
These GDI engines are shite,,The Renault ones are the same ,,shite,,You would think that after 120 years of building and designing ICEngines,,We would have it right by now,,,Everything seemed to be ok up till the early 2000s,,,Then it started going down the shitter,,,We have those climate and green wankers to thank for this,,

I checked Erwin and there was no TPI
What are you using to run the PICO scope, what model is that?

these tend to bleed excese fuel pressure into the oil sump. the oil will smell like petrol and be diluted. so often needs changing at the same time
Had experience of VW dealer once and it wasn't good. I dont think its the techs fault all the time, as you said its these stupid test plans that stop them using there brains. Also no sure they know how to use scopes. Excellent diag Gary.

Good diag, sadly most dealer techs lost if test plan shows nothing and also need to make bonus so no encouragement to think outside of manufacture test plan for themselves. Customer always suffers.
You increased the value of the car by about 20,000 driving around with all the diagnostic gear in it 😂

To answer the question why didn’t the main dealership see the same as you ? Because there not the same as you I doubt they even have a basic understanding of how the system works.
@@kevinpalmer7452 I personally think the manufacturers are not allowing their techs to learn, they are bombarding them with test plans that if there’s a developed fault it will find the cause but 8n this case it was a developing fault and it did not prove shit. There are some great techs in the dealer network who are frustrated that they can’t do the tests that they want to or do tests in the order they want to.
I have 20 years of dealer experience and agree with you on the mostly useless Odis test plans. On jobs outside of warranty you can use whatever test you want and dont need to stick to Odis. The problem is when the car is under warranty you can only claim the time you spend on the Odis test plan and you can only claim a part if you have a test that says that part is faulty. I know of plenty good techs in dealerships, they will just do their own testing and afterwards click through the Odis test plan to get the desired result so it can be claimed for warranty. Stupid I know.

Great video, I think the diversion on the diagnosis was a brilliant learning experience. I have an x type that runs beautifully but has a CAN error randomly so you have given me a solid starting point. I had no idea about the CAN double back. Thanks for a great video.

For future reference, you can buy the modules separately. 9x are masters with a control unit inside and 9x are slaves. 1/10th price of a full sealed pack! Car must have a balancing recharge after though. (3 pin slow charge over a weekend) ......MG tech!
Thanks Gary great work as always, however the DPF sensor running at zero on idle often points to a cracked internal dpf as there should be some pressure at idle. If u pulled the pipe off the dpf sensor and it read zero on the san tool the car would throw a code because the reading is zero, so i was surprised to see no fault code and even more surprised to see no pressure to at least 10mb or less. Hello. Please, I have a VW PAssat B8 2.0 Bitdi 176kw engine code CUAA and it gives me exactly this error, see " P200200 - Particulate Trap Bank 1Efficiency Below Threshold Intermittent" does this also apply to this error? Is it for sure please? Thank you.

Problem is if you bring injectors to be tested nowadays they always tell ya there fucked even when not sad times

In the meantime, I bought a new one, but I’m not sure where it connects in the upper part. If you have any advice or a video tutorial, I would really appreciate it. Tnx
