Hi, I had to watch the video to answer. I have shown how to reset it in the chapter ( 6:43 Setting Explained), you can use chanpter to jump. it is at arround 13:00 or so.
Hi, To the external blue terminals you can connect different holders that contain, per example, 21700 cells. You can obviously test from only one holder at a time, 18650 OR 21700 … 👍
18650 fits. Other batteries could be connected via the blue terminals

The tech notes does show a dual power supply circuit how ever the module does not properly implement it While I didn't both trace the circuit I can see the three inductors are suppose to be on a transformer core. Wish I saw this before buying two
This type of board can produce an equivalent negative voltage provided sufficent current is flowing between the ground and the negative terminal - otherwise a high voltage builds up in the negative-side capacitor. I have the same board and mine works fine when used correctly but shows large voltages when idling.
I have to replace a battery, which contains a little board with two chips on it. One is the DW01A, which brought me here, which was good because I couldn't find a datasheet for it. The other chip is the SM8205, and I can't find any information on that either. I can find suppliers and even pictures of the chip - but no datasheet. I don't suppose you have any info on that one? It has 8 legs, but legs 6 & 7 are bridged with solder. This was a very informative video, by the way - but unfortunately, it doesn't cover the chips on my battery. Maybe my 8205 does the same job as your 4056 - or maybe not. Incidentally, there are two straps from my battery to a little circuit board containing these chips, then there are three wires from the board to the minicomputer board that it powers - red, black, white. I don't know if the white one is for charge monitoring, or for temperature.

Suppose we have a battery pack of 24V with BMS, so if we used a charger that has twice the voltage 48V, then the BMS will protect the batteries and no damage will happen according to your explanation, but the question is that: will the BMS allow the 24V battery to charge safely using the 48V charger or will the BMS get damaged? Hi, the BMS doe not change the voltage. It can tolerate 2 to 3V more than rated voltage. it turns on or OFF the connections. so if you conenct 48V, you will kill the BMS.

I bought those same black batteries, 8 pack, 6+ months ago from Ali-E and am getting 600-700 mah reports on my 4 channel version of the tester. Untrustworthy brand!
I can't say anything yet. in a feew seeks I am going to review them. Then after 1000 cycles of charge and discharge i wil reveiw them again to see how they hold.
@@WattHour Just to let you know I weighed mine and they are between 28 - 29.63 grams. Also, mine are the exact same wrappers without the name Litokala. All of mine are just blank it was never printed on the batteries.
That barrel jack is probably heating up, having a lot of voltage drops at high currents
that's what what I was thinking. but the current never gone more than 3.7A. please watch. They lied. When you connect more than 2 cells, the current drops as you add more cells.

I enjoyed the video, but try not to overexplain everything. Ie: here is channel 1.. at this point we know where are the rest. But you keep going. Even after 7 channels are mentioned you still want to tell us where is channel 8. When in the menu the menu closed twice because you explain in circles too long, not sure why or what to say. At voltage stop or lvd low voltage disconnect you ended up confusing yourself and forgot to show what options it had. In any case, i still benefit from the video, i had my eye on that one for a while but are disappointed with the build. Low charging and discharging and lack of foresight by not adding 3,650v charging for lifepo which also have small cylindrical models like 18650,26650,32650 ect. Thanks again.. practice talking points next video ;)

Li-io chemistry does not work with any voltage greator than 4.2. that's why chip makers made all the chips to work with 4.2V maximum. The battery will get perminantly damaged if you connect 4.35V. if you want to dow that then, use a regular powe supply with Constant current and constant voltage to charge at whatever voltage you want to charge.
@@WattHour Yes, now I will use a stand alone CC/CV charger I can manually set the cut offs on. I was just hoping this one could. That said many chemistry types have over 4.2v Specifically the LGABD11865 N142E228A3. Found in MANY laptops. 4.35 charge, 3v cut off. I have 350 to cap test and now that became a real pain. ah well.

How to power the display without usb power?
Nice work, a couple of things. You may want to do the testing using standoffs as that pcb is obviously designed for them and airflow underneath may help that dissipation. Also it would be cool if you added a efficiency graph in the conclusion section. Keep up the great work!

Hi, how can you power brushless motor directly with this? there should be Electronics Sepeed Controller (ESC) between the power source and your brushless motor. so it will be isolated.
connect this to bldc motor 48 v10 ampere possible?
check the wiries of your motor and then watch this video to see how many wires this has at the output.

did you read the comment? it take low voltage and boosts it meaning it increases the voltage. what kind of volatge you want to put at the input of this to get 12V? it canot give you lower volage. the output is always higher than the input.

it is donet then. it is not just the chip. it has been programmed with C or other langeus knowing the connections and inpuyt and outputs on the board. you can't fix it.

Hello, great video. I don't know if you'll be able to answer this since it's a 3-year-old video by the time I put Make this comment. But I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if my entire batch of 20pcs of ts4056 are bad. USBC version. It has the extra protection. But when I plug it in. No lights turn on. Doesn't seem to charge. I've plugged just the USBC in, I know that the plug is good and the power supply is good. But it doesn't seem to have any voltage going through the terminals connecting the USBC to the board, or from the battery output and input. Or to the component. But I have wired it up so that my battery will go to my lights. And that works fine. But it doesn't seem to charge. The lights don't turn on if I plug it into a power source via USB or to the batteries. Or from the batteries to the component. I've tested five out of the 20 that I bought. But I at least know that my battery will power the component I'm plugged into. On that note, since I can't send them back. Is it still a good idea to be using this as circuitboard that can protect my lights from the batteries messing up or anything? Or should I just unplug it and buy new ones? Which I do have new ones on the way but I now have possibly 20 of these completely useless boards.
It’s probably your power supply. Some of the (PD?) supplies use the data pins to negotiate a voltage since some devices like laptops can take higher voltages (20 volts?) to get more power out of the usb-c connector. These charging boards are dumb and don’t do any handshaking. Try a basic 5 volt supply and/or bypass the usb-c jack. I read somewhere that shorting the data pins might signal the power supply to generate some output, but do your research!
@TroyeWelch I actually just figured it out the other day. It was the cord. Some courts just don't work with this chip. I have two different manufacturers and they both have the same issue. But my 90 watt cord willpower my soldering iron but not the TP chips. As soon as I plugged in the correct USBC cords. The lights came on. I was just so used to using the cord that came with my soldering iron, I figured it would be fine.

I'm looking for a buck booster to were I can input around 12 to 14 volts up to 48 volts to 54 volts. I need about 3000 watts. I guess if worse cone to worse I could get a new power supply.

to turn OFF the battery? what kind of car? we should know the amount of current when you start the engine. I do not adivse using it for a car as most cars will need 200A to 300A when you start the engine. this might wear out in a few months and will die.

nothing is important here. Inpu is important and output. I tested it and showed how much you get. it works with 12V input and up to 9V output. Just watch to see if it outputs 48V or a voltage closer to your output voltage and come to conclusion.
Thank you, your review is still relevant and useful. When you conclude, you say it has a very bad current setting. Does that refer to how the user sets the CC (not being able to just short-circuit and then set CC), or are there other CC shortcomings during operations? In other words, once I set CC, will it then dependably keep that CC level? I ask just to make extra sure because if I ever use this boost converter for charging, CC must obviously always work right. Hi, if your chare current is above 10A it might work. you can't set precise current like 1A or less. So if you can't set the current, as the voltage is beeing controlled by the current, it might over charge the battery.

Can two pieces be connected to one power source, such as 53 volts, 37 amps, and 100 volts output?
it is like at home hou have heater connected to the wall (the batter) and then you have a fan also connected. yes you can your batter is power source. But this NOT steup up. if received 53V and the output is 50V or lower. NOT higher. this is Step down. meaning it reduced the voltage.
