I can write a whole lengthy theory about what I believe happened but I will say the main issues with sephiroth are narcissistic personality disorder, mommy issues, no real friends, and a lack of a love interest. Yep. Notice how Jenova sort of becomes all those things to him. It’s sad. I feel a good plot twist is Tifa should have been made his love interest. He saved her from the river and even seemed to be interested in protecting her. I wish he could get girlfriend it might help :(.

I stopped watching after the London episodes which I was watching in subtitles being released on RUclips. Now I'm pretty sure I am 500+ episodes behind. Great premise but it's taking so long.

The arc where akai shuichi was revealed to be alive and the step by step planning that was involved was probably one of the best plot twists I've seen. The writing was genius. Holy shit

I love detective Conan. I started reading it almost 20 years ago but stopped because getting a hold on translated manga was hard and I got increasingly confused cause without colours, the characters start to all look the same. But I do occasionally go back and watch one or two cases at a time which is still fun

I have watched every episodes and its all about Murders, Abductions, and Robbery but I havent seen even one episode of it having the crime Rape in it

I thought 25:40 would be ridiculously long to watch. However, your takes are genuinely heartwarming/real and I find myself continuing to watch. Not a bad narrative voice or story structure either, you've got it kid!

She looks exactly like Ran who is Shi Kudos love interest. 2)Shin Kudos Dad is the reason Kaito Kid sr got the name Kaito Kid. Shin Kudos mom and Sharon were students of Kaito Kid sr. Shin Kudo met Kaito Kid sr and sr and Sharon. 3)Kaito jrs mom is possibly a thief that Kaito Sr met. 4)Kaito jr is afraid of fish. 5)Kaito sr disappeared while performing a magic trick on a roller coaster. Which is weird because when Ran and Shin were on a roller coaster someone was murdered. 6)Kaito Kid jr has a spin off manga about a child with a sword. 7) Sonoko has a crush on Kaito Jr. 8)Kaito jr is looking for a jewel called Pandora’s box that will help him find his dad. 9) Kaito Sr left recordings on records for his son. But his son only gets one record at a time. 9)Kaitos love interest “hates” magic. 10) Shin Kudo “hates” magic. 11) Kaitos Love interests dad might know who Kaito jr is, but won’t tell anoyone because he wants to use Kaito Jr to find Kaito Sr.

The mainline story of ff7 is identity. Clouds struggle and Sephiroths struggle. Their reactions/actions in terms of their identity crisis is what sets them apart and what the story is conveying as good and bad. Arguably, Sephiroths situation is so much worse starting out, that his reaction was inevitable. But that's also the story conveying for example - a loving family is infinitely a better foundation than one driven by ambitions and manipulation of genetics to ACHIEVE something.

He is the son of Hojo, he was just born that way. It is genetics. Yes, his genetics were changed by Jenova, but he is still Hojo's boy and Hojo is evil.

I'd be as bold as to say that it's better. Or at least that I enjoyed it more on the moment to moment basis. Even with the abrupt ending, unanswered questions and some unclear motivations. The humor is much more earnest and less mechanical, the overall mystery has much more elements to it and it never feels like it's trying to just go for the shock factor

if you find out how the story ends, do let me know, i have some unresolved grudges to settle with a group of people

We can all agree Sephiroth was a hero. Kind and compassionate and the strongest. But he needed a friend, a real one at some point in his life. Angeal was close but still looked at him like an obstacle, Sephiroth sensed that. Genesis envied him and was open about it, Sephiroth knew he'd screw him the first chance he got. So the man lived his whole life alone, rich and worshipped. So when he reads his origins and Hojo's experiments he snapped. Decided he'd be the savior that would wipe out the human virus. But a friend could have stopped him. A friend could have reminded him he still a good person. A friend wouldn't have abandoned him in that library. It's not all Sephiroth's fault. It's partly shared between his fake friends. A small amount. Zack for being another Angeal fanboy clone And absolutely 90% blame goes to hojo. Cuz f*CK HoJo! I don't even care if the pie chart data isn't equal it's that little creeps fault. He wanted to breed a woman and a talking dog without even giving them privacy. He diddled with Lucretia, idc if she said it was mutual that is not true no on would ever sleep with that man willingly and he knows it. Vincent was a simp I'm sorry he should have blasted Hojo 🤷 so part of it is his fault too fuggit right!? It all comes back to that little shit. It’s a simple answer really, he is evil in the eyes of everyone else but him. Power corrupts people there is a fine line between hero and villain.

I think a lot of people missed this from the OG but there are a few dialogues where it implies that Sephiroth was always feeling "weird" and not like a creep more like a "my son brings dead animals to our house" weird. When he learns the truth, he basically accepts his origins and doesnt act like "human" anymore while actually he is mostly human since he was a natural biological child that was born from a human being. And i believe this part is subjective but all of sephiroths going crazy is related to this duality imo. He thinks he is just a monster, but also doesnt feel like a monster. Throughout whole ff7 related games, we see him always question is humanity. I think thats an obvious message to us. He doesnt belong to neither of the groups, monsters nor humans.

The fact that in this long review you didnt mention haibara/shiho miyano is baffling. She’s one of the most integral characters in this show and is nearly as important as the main character

The OG English dub only being just over 100 episodes was a crime against humanity

Sephiroth is a lame villain. He's an emotionless pretty boy who just somehow overrides the instinct and will of an unknowable alien planetary parasite that is essentially the Thing, only more powerful. In short, when he becomes a villain he has no personality and is therefore uninteresting.

I still think the truck accident was set up by Cheongang since they bought up transportation companies. Who knows, maybe we will find out in the planned sequel. I honestly hope Baekjin/Donald is still alive. A 15 year old doesn't deserve to go out like that, especially not with his sad past.
