What makes an Isekai an Isekai, is the other world absolutely needs to be in a completely different universe Not a time skip/jump Not an alien from a different galaxy Completely and totally a different universe Last Action Hero is a prime example of Isekai, as a magic ticket pulls a desperate teen into his favorite escape, an Action movie Back to the Future isn't an example, because even though a desperate teen is transported to a different world, it's still the one he lives in, just before/after his own timeline
I recommend this isekai called welcome to demon school iruma kun. It follows Iruma a 14 year old boy who was sold to the devil by his parents for money and Iruma has to survive in the demon realm the anime actually has a lot more to it than just that but that’s the basics just watch the first couple episodes and it’ll drag you into the story! 10/10 and the dub is so funny (I’m sure you can enjoy it in sub) but I watch dub and always laugh lol
