You may not have the sea in Leeds, but there is the majesty of the canal 🤷🏼😏

Temple Newsam and St Aidan’s have nice bridle ways and you can link both spots together using the canal, there is also a nice short lap around Rothwell Country Park just off the canal near Skelton Lake Services.

Your outlook on life after cancer is great, i lost a lung to cancer at 31 i was fit and healthy so several doctors repeatedly told me it was asthma, when i finally got some one to listen to me it was too late and i lost my left lung, it destroyed me being on a ward full of men twice my age the whole thing was so traumatic , i spent nearly 10 years feeling sorry for myself and hating the world, before i got back on my bike i love cycling again (mountain biking) riding is hard work with one lung but i just switch off no stress just riding. Leeds isn't far from some really good places to cycle and your not too far from the sea, just this weekend myself and my wife did hull to hornsea on the hornsea trail and then on the way home stopped off to ride over the Humber bridge just to say we had done it.

Big gratz on both occasions! And what a lovely gravel routes 🤙
