@@GoneFeralWithSquidly My trekking pole was just about maxed out. I probably could've toyed with it more and made it some better but my nerves couldn't take it. The 2 person version of this tent is less problematic since the interior space isn't compromised too much by a bad pitch. Plus it has some real headroom. Still it's a neat little tent for someone who isn't hell bent on perfection. 😄 I LOVE my Durston Xmid. It's really easy to set up and no guy lines needed unless it's really windy.

@@MtnWanderer-TieDye- for whatever it’s worth, I was throwing my two cents in. The real issue is whether you want to deal with the fiddliness of any tent (they all have it) or not. I agree with you on this one though and I’m glad you posted this video because I had considered this tent. 🦑

@@IceBearHalfwayPoint I think the Lanshan 2p is much more forgiving when setting up because of the extra interior space and the double poles. With the 1p, if you don't get it right, your interior space is compromised. When my husband pretended to backpack, he used the Lanshan 2 so I've actually set it up before. The side guylines are nice but not necessary on the 2 since you can sleep corner to corner solo if you are tall. I would like to see 3F make a 1 person with 2 vestibules and use two poles. That would make the head room MUCH better and I think resolve the mesh problem. Of course, the Xmid pretty much fits that bill. I figure 3F would be a cheaper option for folks, though. It would basically be a skinnier version of the Lanshan 2. Yeah, your dogs would take up a lot of space. Would be nice and cozy in the winter time, though. I have a tent specifically for when I take Dottie. It's 4 lbs but was fairly inexpensive. I never know if she is going to rip something. I considered making a vestibule potty video but wasn't sure about it. I might though. 😄

@@Nomadiccamping For sure! I have a 2 person tent that I use when I take Dottie with me. It's 4 lbs but my mileage is shorter when she's along so the extra weight isn't too bad.

@@sueb860 I think the 2 person Lanshan is a little easier and forgiving because the interior space isn't affected by the pitch as badly as the 1 person. Glad you could bless someone with yours! That's awesome. 🙂

@@agesadventures The 2 person Lanshan is the better tent. Uses 2 trekking poles, has better headroom, is a little more forgiving with the setup. The Xmid is even better though because it doesn't require any guy lines unless it's really windy. I thought I might use this one for some stealth camping videos but I think I'd give myself away with all the fussing I'd be doing and the time it takes to get it right. 😆

Puff is always chatty. Sometimes I have to run her off when I'm videoing because she won't stop. She's really sweet, though.
