RodsAngleUK
Великобритания
Добавлен 9 окт 2019
A fishing channel that aims to inform anglers of all abilities about different UK surf fishing locations and catching fish from them.
Watch and maybe learn about a new fishing locality, consider a different approach to a familiar venue, or just be amused by another angler’s style.
RodsAngleUK videos follow a ‘no nonsense' approach, explaining techniques and rigs and revealing all marks fished.
A mixture of in-depth venue coverage, through several sessions to gauge trends / hone tactics ('catch fish at...' series) and short 'day-trip' visits to specific marks. Knowledge gained from these experiences is shared.
UK shore fishing - largely ‘continental’ style.
Hopefully enjoy, find some value in watching and please consider subscribing.
Any comments and suggestions for content, would be really appreciated.
Welcome, and thanks for visiting this channel.

Catch Fish from Cardigan Bay: TYWYN - Neptune Road
Another in the series of sea fishing in Cardigan Bay (Wales, UK) and my second from Tywyn.
This video covers two sessions fished at the southern end of Tywyn (filmed on 24.04.24 and 11.07.24). Once again, I came here hoping to catch turbot and small-eyed rays; but no flatfish showed. However, the first fish in each session was a decent sized bass; which saved the day. Schoolie bass made up the rest of the catch, with a couple of whiting in the first session. Techniques and rigs are dealt with, together with venue details.

Catch Fish From the East Kent Coast: DEAL - CAMBRIDGE ROAD
Просмотров 4,9 тыс.Месяц назад
A couple of spring daytime sessions at Cambridge Road, near the boundary between Deal and Walmer (Kent, UK). In the first session (recorded on 12.04.24), I fished the tide up to high water and a few hours of the ebb; the second (recorded on 25.05.24) was over high water and down. Both sessions had a pretty strong tidal pull and resulted in the capture of plenty of dogfish, and a welcomed plaice...

Two daytime sessions (recorded on 29.08.22 and 10.04.24) originally fishing for bass at the Lifeboat Station section, Dungeness (Kent, UK). The first session was fished in ideal conditions, but was pretty hard; a fair few fish were caught in the second session, but condition were not that good on the day. I deal with my approach to targeting bass here and then a general approach to catching any...

Another great video. Some lovely Bass in awful weather.well done
Love Wales found trolley is essential with all moving, borth is me favourite, love the clips keep it up.
Fantastic video , what lb braid would you recommend for this type on in shore fishing ? Assuming you’re using a tapered leader as well ?
Am fishing new haven next week ant tips
Long time watcher , love them all , a stunning surf beach , wished I'd been there.
Good stuff.
Great vlog big congrats on the Dover Sole
Many thanks for that.
Many thanks for that.
Smashing video. The camera work is great as always.
Many thanks!
Many thanks!
Keep im comeing 👍👍
Will do - thanks Stephen.
Will do
🌞 Please turn on CC for accessibility 🌞 It helps a lot of people. Many thanks for nice videos.
Noted - thanks for watching.
Spent half of my teenage life fishing off this pier in the 80's. My favourite spots were the lifeboat house and the opposite side near the boat launch slip but I know they only allow fishing off the arm now. The whole pier used to be very snaggy but it was good fishing. Still go, mostly off boat, kayak or beach now.
Nice one!
Go up towards Bournemouth , opposite the land train garages and Zig Zag path, there are two large groins with concrete and railings. This is an excellent spot for Sole Gurnard and School bass, especially after dark.👍
Many thanks for the info - will try there at some point.
Used to enjoy fishing there, untill they put all those stupid ' wind chime ' things there. It's too expensive, and Bournemouth pier is even worse with that Zip line.
I tend to agree with you - will give it another go sometime; but I prefer beaches.
Cheers Michael, great to see you out again , and some fish for your efforts. thanks 🎣👍🏼 Paul
Many thanks again 👍
@@rodsangleuk6283 welcome 👍🏼
Another great video Michael loads of fish keep them coming cheers
Thanks, will do Clive!
Rod i am trying to learn.sea beach fishing... based in chatham Can i come join you so you can explain rigs etc. I have all lthe gear
Nice idea; but probably too difficult to arrange at the moment, as I split my time across quite a number responsibilities and interests, including coarse match fishing, which take me away from my local area. Keep watching a range of RUclipsrs and just keep trying - you'll learn more by just doing it yourself. Good luck!
Hiya Mick what bait stops do you use to prevent worms going up the line?
Not sure what they are called - cheap items imported directly from China mostly! You'll find similar in good tackle shops.
Ok Mick cheers.
Hi Mick, once again you prove that you are indeed youtube's, premier 'sole man' ... Nice keeper size too, well done ...John. 👍
Nice one - I'll be targeting them soon!
as come to expect always enjojable and informative, nice camera work, enjoy your sole well deserved.
Many thanks, as always Loz.
Always love your videos .can you txt me the name of the rods you are using many thanks
Thanks - they are Colmic 07s.
Let us know when you can get back here and you can give us a masterclass as I am allways interested in learning
Still have a number of marks to cover - but not sure when I'll be back, given that its holiday time and I'm expecting the beaches to be packed during the day, particularly if the sun is out!
On my way there now been there a few times never had any luck tho 😂😂
How did you get on? Hope you caught.
Another nice video weather looks a bit grim though
Thanks - yes, not ideal conditions!
Great video. I watch Saltwater Angler and he fishes lures off of the rocks at Warrior Square for Bass.
That's interesting to know - that mark is on my to do list.
@@rodsangleuk6283 Thanks mate. I live down here and he really knows his stuff on lure fishing for bass. Very exciting too.
can see my old flat
Nice one.
Any chance of you demonstrating what the difference is between bites ? With all your experience can you show us a few different types please
Maybe sometime - need plenty of bites to be able to do that - and they are a bit hard to come by at the moment!
The ole Muff Busters are looking a bit corroded these day's mike.
Most of my gear is a bit worn out and my rig holders are pretty depleted! Need to spend a bit of time on my gear - but I'd rather be out fishing!
Nice session rod shame no home takers but least you didn't blanked. Tight lines for your next foray.
Thanks - its not easy nowadays to regularly catch fish of eating size!
Hi, Mick, can I ask you when you are fishing in the day. What sort of time do u generally do this. Not having much luck lately, fishing in the afternoons at Hastings Harbour. Many Thanks!
At Hastings its generally 3 hrs either side of high water. At Dungeness it depends on which mark you are fishing. At coastguards and to the right at the point its better towards low water.
Hi Mick ... A plethora of Plaice, but no pan size contenders ... Nevertheless another very watchable video 😊 ...
Thanks again - difficult to get sizeable ones at the moment!
Awesome again Mick u picked the right plaice 2 fish shame thay were small fish but thay saved it being a blank .Happy catching from Australia Nick .
Thanks Nick.
Great upload, mick, kind regards Mike, Norfolk
Many thanks again Mike.
What's your thoughts on bells?
Useful on piers , particularly if you fish both sides at the same time, or spend a lot of time chatting to others. I personally don't use them.
Another nice video, should consider keeping fish that are definitely not going survive .
That's right - these were OK though and I wouldn't take smooth hounds.
I read it as Winteron the way first time, and I had to agree!
Good one - it was pretty cold at times! I'm in to cryptic messages and mythology; but don't place (correct spelling) any in my vids - if there are any its down to the gods!
Nice vid Mike and Nice hair cut or did you have your ears lowered? Regards Andrew
AWESOME
Many thanks!
And a bonus lead
But then I lost it!
Some nice size dogfish and good to see that plaice
Yes - pity there weren't any more flatfish.
I am fairly new to fishing, i have watched lots of your videos. Because of you I have just bought some boom rigs and also some salted lug. I especially like your clip from Hastings Harbour, as i fish there often. Anyway thanks for your clips, i have learnt a lot from them.
Many thanks for that. Boom rigs don't always work - sometimes fish will shy away from them; but they do help nail your baits to the seabed and bites show up well.
Well done thanks for location markers as ever you are best vlogger for doing this.I fished this venue a couple of years ago i blanked.
It can be a bit hit and miss. I'm not keen on vids that refer to venues as 'a mark on Chesil,' or 'somewhere on the south coast' etc..
End up with a Dover sole Michael lovely for the plate deserve that thanks
Thanks - my favourite fish!
Another amazing video Michael sitting at home lovely your videos and going on Saturday can't wait loads of fish again and soon good tips for a good fisherman
Thanks Clive 👍
Hi Mick ... It just goes to show that fish can turn up, even when you are packing up to leave ... Extending your session proved worthwhile, even though you didn't catch any target plaice ... 2 stonking smoothies would make any anglers day ... Well done. 🐟🐟🎣🎣 Ps. I think Dylan, from 'Frugal Outdoors', has purloined your hoodie ... It has 'The sole man' on the back of it ...
Vid with sole on its way soon! Sometimes we give up when the fish are about to start feeding - always worth that 'last cast'.
A great end to a slow start two nice smoothies rod.Well done.
Thanks for that.
Second session as good as the first Michael love watching your videos keep them coming and thanks again for your good work
Thanks again Clive.
Another great video for first one loads of fish good day
Thanks
Well done Michael, just goes to show that you are always in with a shout while you have a bait in the water. I think I may have packed up long before your capture 🐟
Yes - you never know with Chesil; it can suddenly switch on just when you are thinking that nothing is going to happen.
Another great video Michael and a lovely smooth hound top man and that crab i would have had that for the pot love crabs cheers
Cheers Clive.
