    Just found you recently & have subbed. As a lifelong birdwatcher l loved the video. Back in the 70's, as a Zoology student, a group of us went for a 4 week field trip to the Camargue. (studying a burrowing Bee called Bembex). I'll never forget the bird life down there! A highlight for me were the amazing numbers of Bee Eaters with their lovely, chirping trill. All the best, John.

    My goodness, what troopers you are, heading off feeling poorly, but still smiling despite everything. What a disappointment that the battery went flat whilst filming the kingfisher! The bustards were fantastic, well spotted! Then a late night being tired before you could all retire as the van needed to be re-tyred! Hopefully the lay in revitalised you all to enjoy the rest of the trip. I hope that you are all fully recovered now!

    I didn't get to Minsmere that weekend as hoped after all (and still not been up there). It would have been lovely to say 'Hello'. But your schedule saw you there a day after I'd expected to go. Being a gardener, I am playing catch up due to the awful weather, so any birding I've done has been more local. I am also binge watching your latest videos too as I have fallen behind. As I watched your quest for Dartord Warbler, I wondered if you would have gone on to Dunwich Heath, overlooking Minsmere. But saw that you eventually got footage of one and the more evasive nightingale! Spoonbill and Stone Curlew too, A hard slog but you both did so well. Chilli too and cooked in a pan similar to the one I use! Anyway, I've more of your videos to enjoy, so will do that right now! Thank you for sharing your adventures, they are always a good watch!

I really do enjoy viewing as we get to see the disappointments as well as the delights! Congratulations are also in order for you exceeding the 2k subs! I know more will discover you and enjoy your content! Keep up the good work, drive safely and of course, happy birding! And hopefully our paths will cross soon!

    Sadly, I think your Peregrine call is accurate -- the wing/tail ratio created by the relatively wide, blunt-tipped wings doesn't seem to fit the lankier flight profile of Hobby. I'm fortunate to live near a Canadian raptor watch site that gets good numbers of Peregrines each fall... and everything about your bird (to me) points to Peregrine. Thanks for your excellent video work!

    • @SEObirder
      @SEObirder 23 дня назад

      Not sadly in the UK, its a relatively rare falcon and honestly the falcon that thrills me the most to see. During the summer months the Hobby is much easier to come by in the UK. We have more breeding hobbies than peregrines. 100% Correct that it is a peregrine.

    Great to see a new video. Every time I check birdforum and see something rare has been reported I wonder wether I will see it in your video 😊 Congrats on the Pratoncole. Have seen three in the Netherlands and also one Oriëntal, but still missing collared as I skipped the last (and only one since I started birding) twitchable bird as it sat on the other side of the country.
