What about a DAF with a diesel engine?
Jesus Christ is God ...i am glad you mentioned his name......as Sep 11 2033 is judgement day !
I searched this video out because I've owned a couple TR7's here in Canada and there's one for sale for $1500CAD near me with a cracked head and a good body (there's a joke in there about an ex girlfriend, but I'm not going to go there) . I wanted to see what they were like with a V8, I think your video convinced me to buy it. Excellent video edited to ask: how are the brakes at slowing it down from speed? I'm around 200hp in my Miata and it's pushing what I find acceptable in braking performance. That leads to my next question, how is the aftermarket for TR7 performance parts? I probably have a million questions but I should stop Thanks for taking the time for answering and thanks even if you don't. I understand you may have better things to do
The arrival of angle parking is what killed the clean lines of the series one. There was now a need for bump strips down the vulnerable sides of the cars. If you don't believe me just take your dent free early series one to the supermarket car park a few times and you'll see what I mean.
Could have used silver tint on roof to reflect sun ?
Daimler.
I always longed for an alternative rear suspension system on my Vitesse, that rear axle and the inside wheel spin was a let down. I love this build and wish I had the spare cash do do similar.
And this is the car you said you'd keep for 30 years on your video when you were in the garage initially!..
Indeed, things change!
Oh my God!!! Amazing!!! You are crazy!!!🤣Monstrous realization!! Congratulations!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Spend the money on passing your test
I was wondering about when ambulances stopped being white and started being yellow.
Hey, I’ll watch whenever your videoes come around. Feel better.
Top car,top vid ,top bloke …tops!
Alfa’s were rusting before they were complete. Fabulous cars but the Rust😳
So the Triplex roof on my little Corgi Rovers was a real thing. First time I've seen one - Great!
Look after yourself
Good luck with your new adventure👍👍🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thought it was her .lost mine thirty years ago when ill , but that engine just not her , and the steering wheel diff,.🤷♂️👍
So good see your back really love your videos you have cheered me up , Happy new year and hope you have good health and happiness
Good video Sheldon looking forward to more cheers 🍻
Great video, always look forward to seeing a new video. Looking foward to seeing your new car, my money is on that its a smart car lol. Are there any car meets coming up in your area? I always enjoyed the videos you did of shows or meets.
Heya, I’ve always hoped that one day you’d do a video on David’s Guzzi if you were running short of video options. Maybe not super interesting for all the audience but I love that era of Guzzi and would love to hear a bit more from David on it and bikes in general. (Totally unbiased opinion of a serial 70s Guzzi owner haha!)
Do u think you might buy something simpler like a mini as a classic project. Something you could work on yourself and pass your test in. That would be great viewing. Good luck for the future. I always enjoy watching your video’s 🍺🍺🍺
We all have ups and downs, glad you are feeling better. Cool car, hope you get it fixed
I absolutely love my 4.6L TR7V8 DHC (as a conversion it's not and never will be a TR8). They are truly awesome road cars. So different from the original 2 litre. People say these cars are rubbish. Totally untrue. It is now generally accepted that there are 22 genuine RHD UK TR8s.
You converted a Rover V8 two DOHC??
@@classic_britain DHC - drop head coupe.
Good to see you back and another great VLOG. Look forward to the next one and in the meantime look after yourself! Cheers David
Just remember that although you put out content on youtube that does not mean you are public property and do not feel compelled to explain yourself. All of us who are subscribed will see your content as it appears and we are grateful for what you do. Take care of yourself and enjoy what you do that is the important thing.
Mental health problems suck and can strike anyone at anytime. Take a break when you need.
If you ever want to try something new have a look at the series 1 Alfetta sedan or coupe, at least some familiarity with rear DeDion suspension and inboard disc brakes!
Really interesting car!
You will get there Lad stick at it 👍👌
Cost aside, the extra work needed to get this car back on the road will make good footage. The new small British car sounds like a good move and will enable you to put together a series of videos on that. Stay focused and positive and good things will happen.
I appreciate the content you put out, hopefully your future content will be british classic car ? Love the Nada !
i like made in england 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🚗🚗
Just goes to show that for some people, ones MH can flick like that. Yanks speced vehicles are weird looking . Looking forward to seeing what the other car is going to be. Forgot about the Sherpa
Sheldon, It’s ok to not be ok, we all go through dark times. The priority is your health and wellbeing, don’t worry about the content until you’re feeling better. You’ve nothing to worry about, your content is always great, people respect and appreciate what you do. Glad to hear you’re feeling better, just keep progressing , we’re all here for you 🤗
Glad that you are feeling better. Take care and get through the long Winter and looking forward to more videos.
Another Good video 🚘🚙🚗👍👍👍👏👏👏
Do you do any videos with you driving around in your cars?
Use to when they work LOL
@classic_britain on roads or just private land etc?
@ oh myself? Yes in the past on private roads ect
Easier to push them I suspect 😅
@@TomAlter1000 ah, is it something you're working towards Sheldon? We'd love a video of u learning to drive in one of these cars!
Great video, my dad won his class on the 1971 Welsh International rally in his series 1 Rover 2000tc which looked just like the white works cars. He extensively used in on the Welsh road rally scene and the Wye Dean rallies of the early 70's. My mum used it in the week as her daily and my sister and I were always banging our heads on the roll cage. She was the coolest mum at school though haha.
Amazing footage Aron, thanks for posting it
Thanks Mark glad you liked it
“Alternator is even charging” *points camera at ammeter reading 0
It's the angle of the camera.......
Lots of interesting cars in the back ground ,especially at 12:25, thats a Falcon XA GT .Not a common car, but today I suspect there are more GTs running that were built in 1972.
Sound . Now you can go banger racing. Vroomvroom.
I had 3x p6 V8 Rovers (including 2x S models). Both S models (Mexico Brown and white/brown roof car) were nicely spec’d. I’ve owned nearly thirty cars in my time (including Rolls Royce, Bentley and Porsche and the P6 S were the most comfortable to drive and with plenty of torque. Always regretted selling my white p6 (TPO 20K) but it was the only way to buy an engagement ring - happy memories....
At 6:31 Peter Brock having a peek!
I had just picked up my fully imported 72 P6b from the dealer and heard that the "Camel" was racing at a circuit in Melbourne, so I shot out to see it. It looked amazing and was leading for 4 laps until it shit itself unfortunately. Disappointing I know ,but still strong in my memory after 50 odd years. Thanks for the video as I only took pics on a little kodak thing. Nothing like you have hunted down. Best xmas present ever. Still have that P6 I bought in 72 by the way. Yep Im that old.
Hahah awesome thanks for sharing do you still have the pictures you took of it?
That’s half cheered me up in a snowy & icy West Yorkshire. That really has given me the urge to get my pedal to the metal come March when the 3500S gets back on the M62! Superb footage, cheers for sharing 👍
Nice video... P6s racing 👍
Excellent old video and happy new year 🎉👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
