You kinda have to buy uncomfortably expensive watches once every few years and you'll not have too many. Have to realize that the hunt is more fun than the ownership. Once you get that, you can surmount the addiction.

Warning: the "vintage" Fortis is 1000% fake! It's a classic frankenwatch (also called Mumbai special) assembled in India using random parts and reprinting the dial (Frankenwatch actually means Frankenstein watch). Ebay was full of these watches branded Fortis, Favre-Leuba, Titoni, Titus, Jaeger-Lecoultre, Seiko, HMT (the main Indian watch brand) and others at very low price. Often on the dial is written "17 jewels shockproof" (very common on franken Fortis). They are still around and on sale all over the world because, often unknowingly, so many people have bought them. If you google "franken watch" or "mumbai special watch" you will find a lot of information and pictures, including the Fortis.

I have the blue and silver one just like yours, it's a pretty awesome daily watch.

Hi. I think you've got the best Computron. I had a different incarnation of this -- the "D-CAVE" version (rightmost @ 01:12), and I sold it on. I just about broke even on it, because I got a good deal. Yours is the one to get IMO, although the gold-tone PVD is cool too. Another similarly impractical retro watch I enjoy is my Hamilton PSR. It's not my comfiest watch, but darn it, I don't know if could sell it. I recommend every collector to consider having 1 oddball watch. Anyhow, enjoy your weird, impractical, and undeniably fun Computron. 👋

Should the first gen say Japan or Malaysia on the dial by the 6 ? I saw an orange one for sale and it says Malaysia. I noticed some say Japan?

Lovely watch. I own two 6R35 movements, and they do bounce around for the accuracy. My 4r35 movement is spot on, probably +/- 8-9 sec a day... everyday, and it lives a rougher than normally life.

This watch is exquisite! I went to a dealer all set to buy the king turtle version, lucky for me they didn't have stock in the show room. I asked if they had this king samurai "just to look at"... The way the light hits the dial, ceramic bezel insert and the edges of the case, it's amazing and pictures don't do it any justice. I have had a king turtle before so I bought this samurai on site, it's that nice.

Had a few Citizen watches and second always hit marks.

Most of my Seiko 5s and their 4Rs run within +-5s a day! Most of them. My only 6R is around 30-35s off every day.. lovely watch tho that King

Seiko seem more expensive in Europe. Here in Australia, you'd be hard pressed to pay more than $600 for that watch. Usually a little less. Call it 300 pounds here.

I own this watch and the SBDY115J1 Antarctica Monster as well. I’ve reviewed both on my RUclips channel and these are two watches are definitely favorites in my collection. I also own the SRPE39J1 Manta Ray King Turtle as well and all three have stunning 🤩 dials .

My watch was purchased 2 years ago from AMZWATCH and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.

I would never consider selling my Grand Seiko quartz watch, despite its perceived lack of value compared to an Omega Seamaster.which i have as well

I was lucky to buy mine brand new at retail over 11 years ago. Still have it and absolutely love the looks, design and quality. It compares highly favourably to my GS SBGX261. The only thing is, since day one, the movement in mine has run like a bag of d!@ks at about minus 40 seconds a day. Never bothered my too much, as I have so many other watches, and I'm sure it would be very easily regulated my any half decent watch maker if I could get off my lazy ass and go and get it done. Super glad I never sold it! Not sure which watch to wear to work tomorrow, my DJ 116200 or my SARB033

Watch looks brand new, bracelet looks a bit chunky for a 36mm. The ability to move the hour hand would be the ideal solution to the daylight savings nuisance. I've been looking for an Omega for years but now that they make one I want they've priced it beyond what I'm prepared to pay but vintage could be worth a look. Enjoy.
