Austin & Rob are both classically trained. This is my favourite rendition of this hymn. BTW, Austin has a new video of his rendition of "Defying Gravity" and a video introduction to his new band. Although Adam Bastien is a good replacement in Home Free, I'm still adjusting to not seeing Austin with them.

Without a doubt the very Best Vocal Group I have ever heard. Five spectacular talents, joined as one. What are the odds? Every song, one after the other, and one better than the last ... incredible. I'm not sure why I feel this way, but I never think Kirstin gets enough credit for her contribution. Maybe because she is the only female. IDK! Bless them all. Anybody want to question if there is a higher power? Listen to the music Pentatonix delivers to us and checkout their history. Amazing that these incredibly talented folks found their way together. I have been following them since the first time they were on the Sing Off. They were wonderful then, and three Grammy Awards later, they continue to get better and better. Ginger, I too am mesmerized with Kirstin's voice. What can she not do beautifully? Please continue to react to more of their music. You were meant for this format. Great job.

If you really want to be amazed, there is a LIVE version of this from 2019 they sang at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. It is stunning!!! Off mic - just them standing at the front of the stage singing. You should check it out.

Cesar, though he's technically a baritone/tenor2, he asked if he could try going for that super high note you asked about, so they let him, and the tight harmonies with Omar and Eli supporting him underneath the highest part ended up being such an EPIC part of this song!!! Omar has such a fabulous voice and I wish they could snag him as a permanent member - along with Deejay Young, oh, dang, and of course, I wish J None would commit to singing with them permanently again!!! (I think his tour of duty with the Navy is complete!) I think they could do SUCH incredible things with all these guys as I am sure you know - or will find out - just how talented each of them are! Fun one to be introduced to them! It was MY introduction to them as well and as an a cappella singer myself, I was freakin' blown away!! (My group only does early polyphony and renaissance music, so it's a WHOLE different beast, but talent is TALENT!!!) I was INSTANTLY hooked and a day has not gone by since that I haven't listened to the stuff they're doing. Their talent knows NO bounds!

OH Girl, you gotta get you a good set of headphones...it's the only way to hear all the yumminess that is VoicePlay!!! I was about 15 or so when this came out and it has remained one of my favorite songs ever since! This is SUCH a great arrangement by Layne and Eli (who is starting to do more arranging these days, and I am all in for it!) and their take is both respectful of the original without being a total copy. There is a cute story on how they met Dolly and how they opened for her tour. Scotts friend called him and said Dolly was coming to their home town in Texas and he wanted to always see her so his friend got tickets and Scott flew hometo go to the concert and was in the Audience trying to move closer to.the stage and Dolly saw him out there, jad her security grab him and adk him to come backstage after the concert, he was so excited to meet her, however she said sue was so excited to meet him, shed been wat hing all thier videos on Utube while traveling in her bus on tour for weeks she said, and asked him to call the others and see if they would please travel with her and open her concerts for her next tour coming up, so they did and thats what i read.

Was in med school when the group saw him on U2 doing his cello beatboxing and so Scott u2 messaged him, and asked if he woukd like to fly across ghe country and try out on a competition show the sing off. For Accopella groups. And he had to do hoz finals first then he contacted them and flew to LA met them the night before their try outs practiced a bit together at thdir hotel went the next night, and they won , and havd been together as z group since, like 14yrs ? Cakra’s appearance on AGT was likely staged. Many talents are invited by the show just to perform as contestants. Based on their contracts, the show either "eliminates" them at specific rounds or lets them win, depending on public response and how the producers want to shape the outcome. Don’t get me wrong, I love Cakra, it’s just how the talent show industry works these days.

I’m not crying you are 😂. The first time I saw the movie was the last true happy memory with my mom before her alcoholism got worse and she now has dementia from drinking. It’s called wet brain, this song gets me every time whether faith hill is singing or the little girl in the movie is(little girl grew up to become the lead singer of a rock\screamo band lol. Pretty wreck less is the groups name I believe). That little boy got my emotions going right away

there are two amazing remakes of this song. the original was a pop song. Disturbed did an awesome cover, but it was aggressive and angry. I think that Pentatonix captured the true essence of the lyrics. another time where the Penatonix version clearly demonstrates the horror of lyrics is in Mad World, much better than the original or any cover I have seen
