Van Gogh paintings displayed in this video include "Cafe Terrace at Night", "Field of Poppies", and "Starry Night Over the Rhone". I also learned that this was one of Tupac's favorite tunes and it was played for him in the hospital before he died. Wild stuff! Enjoy 🙂

    Nice reaction Ginger!! 💯
A huge statement has been reinforced numerous times over the last half dozen years when notorious artists have collaborated with Home Free in singing legacy hits and in several cases have reached out to Home Free. Home Free has shown extraordinary respect to these artists to the point there is mutual respect and admiration that is very visible both ways. Home Free is a very humble group of guys who know how to pay their respects as they showcase these well-respected and well-known artists. Just wow, and we are the benefactors of this wonderful trust as they deliberately give each other and us a chance to enjoy once again a freshness to the decades that gone on before us with a wonderful tribute. Home Free is showing the industry a strong core value of High Regard, Strong Consideration, Attentiveness, High Opinion, and Due Regard for those who have set the stage for the music we enjoy today.
Thank You Home Free, for your leadership by action that we all admire and appreciate doing things the right way!!!!! ❣

Great reaction Ginger! You said it all. They said it all. It’s so beautiful. So simplistic yet eloquent with the paintings in the background. Don sounded great for his 70’s. And Rob killed it as those harmonies surrounded them. Great rendition! 🤩😃

Ginger - your reactions always bring more to the table than most reactors - Thanks for blowing up the screen to my tired 'ol eyes. I've seen the video dozens of times but never saw the movement of the water - and the "painting" at the end of the "fellas with Don was such a sweet homage to this wonderful classic. Depression is such a silent killer but mostly it's glossed over in light of the other diseases such as Cancer, Heart issues etc...
I think we all have a tinge of it to some degree or another but I can only imagine how many lives are lost daily to this dreaded disease...

Great reaction. Rob's voice reminds me of a young Don McLean. I noticed it when Home Free did American Pie with Don.

I can't remember if you know that they have also done American Pie with him. Rob tones is so beautiful with Don. Home Free has also done another song with him on Don's new album. I really enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

Another great reaction, Ginger. Your powers of observation are appreciated. Have watched several reactors on my small tablet and didn't pick up on the moving water. Loved this back in the 70s and this new version still brings the feels. Don does sound amazing, no indication of his age in his vocals. And we get to hear a bit of Adam with his soft tenor backing silky Rob and Austin. Yes, Rob is a perfect complement to Don, very similar voice, and Austin has that natural 'cry' in his tone which suits this subject. Everyone is dressed so casually, Chance with his stocking cap. As if they were friends just hanging out, began singing and someone recorded the gathering. (No apparent hair, makeup or wardrobe assistance except the theme seemed to be 'wear something brown' LOL.)

I remember when this came out thinking it was a beautiful song. I grew up listening to it. I think Home Free just made me fall in love with it wall over again. Wow the harmonies and smooth, silky voices were just so soothing. Vincent suffered from depression most of his life. I think in part because he wanted to make everyone see the beauty that he believed was possible and yet he lived in a world that constantly proved it wrong. How he created such beauty in such a negative time and space still boggles my mind. I think this was a perfect tribute ...music that was true art.

This is gorgeous. It is so amazing that Don has invited Home Free to join him on the re-release of his two most iconic songs. In a recent piece on the website Everything Nash, Tim is quoted as saying that he thinks this might be the most perfect song every written. Home Free also back Don on the title song from his new album, American Boys. There is an audio-only video on Don's channel. It's a bop.

Im going to miss the beautiful way Rob and Austin’s voices blend so well together and they can pass off the melody back and forth so seamlessly that it takes a second to realize who is actually singing. The trio of Don, Rob and Austin is just so beautiful.

A masterpiece collaboration. It really feels like Home Free and Don McLean were made for each other. Love how uncluttered and simple the video was, it allowed the lyrics to really shine. Don McLean chose well in choosing Home Free to do this remake of his beautiful tribute to Vincent Van Gough, his tragic life and his amazing talent.

Love this collaboration! "Vincent" is such a great song by Don McLean! He originally did it in 1972. What a great remake with Home Free! Rob's voice is perfect for this song. Such a beautiful tribute to the sad life of the painter Vincent Van Gogh. He suffered from depression & committed suicide. He never saw any success during his life. But now his paintings are worth millions of dollars.

Vincent painted the average person...the poor and the ragged. At one time Vincent worked in an art gallery like his brother Theo, but his mental struggles made the job impossible for him. Theo cared for Vincent, giving him money when he needed it, which Vincent felt guilt for. Vincent was committed to a hospital and it was there that he painted Starry Night, Cherry Blossoms and Irises. Painting helped him. He has a huge body of work. It was as if he was desperately trying to tell the world something that they couldn't or wouldn't see. Not long after Vincent died, his brother Theo also took his life, leaving his wife with all of Vincent's paintings. It was through her efforts that Vincent finally became known. I think Vincent and Theo both suffered with severe depression and some schizophrenic episodes as well. Vincent wasn't crazy...he was sorely misunderstood. I find him, with all his struggles to be more human than many of the artists of his time. Perhaps that is why I have been a fan of Van Gogh for years, ever since I first saw Starry Night as a kid. And now with this song, sing by my favorite singers...perfection.

Thank you for opening my eyes to just a glimpse of Vincent and Theo. Two brothers bonded by birth and life itself. Unchecked depression can cause immense pain and suffering and your post has touched me deeply. We glaze over the word "depression" never really understanding how devastating this disease is and how it can affect our lives...

Sincere reaction. pronounced; gog. Context; Don Mclean; misery sells! Van Gogh is more famous for his succes by failure drama than his painting skills. (I live within visiting distance of the first collector (mrs Kroller Muller) Museum and Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam) He had qualities, but 170 mln for 1 work?
