i will quit parkrun if there is no time and place
what’s the rest
I was thinking they just changed the London marathon qualifying times and hey no problem, congratulations, really pleased for you,
Great comeback trial. Loving the positivity shining through. Good luck with Cardiff.
Great effort, mate
Well done, welcome back, look forward to seeing your road to full fitness
Amazing time, Cole! Happy to see you back to this level of fitness.
Well done, great run!
Solid time that mate 👏🏻 do you log all your training on strava? Iv broke 16 twice (15:54 pb) but half pb is 1:11:30 and according to pace calculators that says my 5k time should be closer to 15:20 but i cant manage to get it down. Any tips?
brill 🎉 good luck for Cardiff!
Well done on the video.
I was fittest when I was 17... I've been enjoying the come-back for 19 years I can relate
Haha that’s one hell of a comeback!
Drawing it out, don't want to peak too soon Cole! 😆
@@mattsoutham sounds wise to me!!!
Awesome run 👏 glad the comeback is going well! I’m running the Cardiff half as well (bit slower than you though!) it’s a great race (beware the nasty kicker at about mile 12)!
Thank you! It’ll be my first time, excited!!
nice vid bro
Good luck for Cardiff! 🏃♂💨
Thanks mate!
Nice to see you getting back to form and fitness. I’m about to have an enforced 12 weeks of no running so I’ve been following your recovery with interest!
Thanks mate! Speedy recovery!
Second 😅
🥈
How fast can you respond
Quite quick tbf
@@ColeRunning not as quick as that rapid 5k
My boy when can I incorporate gymsessions or stability stuff or sth like that?
Well done!
Fantastic training plan, great variety and ideas for fun running sessions. I´ve been doing a similar setup for the last 5 weeks and can confirm that this sort of plan is the best way to improve your form (and I´ve tried many different training programs). Thanks!
Shaved 5+ min off my 5k using this plan. Great program!!!
Scratch that. 13 min off my first 5k time with this plan. Crushed a 27 at 255lbs using this regimine
Great to see you back Cole 👍 missed your videos.
Randomly came across your video. Hearing you mention Cerebellum Ataxia in this video was on a nice surprise. My Dad was diagnosed with this around 27 year old and I ran my first GNR this year for Ataxia UK.
Thanks for sharing! Sorry to hear about your dad! Appreciate you tuning in!
Great run. Great video. Good stuff!
Glad you enjoyed, thank you!
Reversing the direction would make for an uphill finish...maybe that's why they don't change it?
Yeah potentially! Was just an idea but you could be right!
@@ColeRunning they ran a different route during Covid which did come back over the bridge and some definitely preferred it and finishing back in Newcastle
Just getting round to watching this... Great to have you back on youtube my man. Awesome video and great time!!
Thanks for tuning in ! Appreciate it
I’m curious what your watch predicts you can run the 5k now that you just ran it in 17:01. I bet it still doesn’t predict 17:01!
Fantastic run Cole. It's great to see you back 👍
Thanks Mike 👊🏻
18:06 imagine running a half marathon for a coke zero - utter heartbreak!
I know right! Pepsi max or nothing
@@ColeRunning 100%! On a more serious note, it's good to see you back. You seem much happier about running than before your break.
Fabulous run Cole. And great video. It really is a special event isn’t it - although after 2hours getting out of South Shields I was a bit over it 😅 Won’t stop me returning next year though.
It’s a great event! The hatrick for me, I’ll skip next year I think and return to the big half!
@@ColeRunning did that this year shame they are both on the same day next year.
Good to see you back Cole. Great video. 👍💪🏃♂️
Appreciate it!
Look like you’ve put on a few lbs, you look a lot healthier 👍
Thanks mate, hit the gym a little while I was injured and definitely got a much better relationship with food now matey! Thanks a lot!
I did my first GNR this year in just over 1hr25, but I didn’t take heed of trying to warm up immediately after finishing. I walked to South Shields metro, developed mild hypothermia in the process, then got medical attention & passed out twice and vomited in the process. I’m fine now though thankfully I agree with you regarding reversing the course direction. It’s a nightmare trying to get out of South Shields. The phone signal was non existent too. It would be much easier getting out of Newcastle city centre

@@ColeRunning I’ve signed up to do the next 3 years 😂 so yeah I’m all good!
Great weekend Vlog. Best wishes to Mr Gibbens with his bad injury. 73 is a great progression point on your return to full capacity.
Thanks a lot guys, I’ll be sure to let him know!
I was diagnosed with the a complex tear of medial meniscus. Got so bad that my leg would lock and I couldn’t straighten my leg at all as the meniscus got caught in the joint. I had keyhole surgery, walked out of the hospital the same day and was running again within 3 months. I’ve since run PBs at every distance and completed my first marathon. I know everyone’s journey is different but hopefully your dad will get fixed up and be back running again soon. Good to see you getting back to fitness too Cole.
Dad’s definitely stressing about his knee, I’ve tried to reassure him but I’m sure he’ll be relieved to hear your story! His is very complex too but there’s definitely a chance he’ll run again!
Absolutely smashing time Cole. Great effort.
Thanks a ton!
Love this vlog! You are smashing it, love the content 🫱🏻🫲🏼

Was good to see you back mate, I think I gave you a cheer about mile 6! I seen your dad cruising on past too, what a grafter. Glad to see you all had a good day 👊🏽
Thanks a lot buddy, yeah man he’s a proper grafter. Never known anyone dig in as much as him, proper inspiration is my dad!
Well done Cole. I was carrying a few niggles so was just pleased to finish in 1.46. But we can always go again. You're just a natural runner so will always get decebt times if fit.
Thanks Kevin I appreciate that :)
Great effort, mate
mate it’s a shame to hear you talk so much about not over-training or under-fuelling, and then already you’re racing 5 days after a HM + counting the amount of meatballs you’re having for dinner…
It’s nothing to do with the amount of food I’m eating in terms of calories, I don’t want to feel stuffed on race day. Every other day I’m cramming in the food at the moment trust me :)
Yep that's a comeback 🎉 Beautiful English summer :P
Thanks buddy, it always rains in Newcastle!
Thought I saw you in front of the baggage buses at the start!
Yes sir that was me :)
Just secured a spot on the 2025 event 🥳 Now struggling to find accommodation 😖 Well done to you, cracking effort 👌🏻
It’s a nightmare! We stayed in wallsend :)
The true backward cap fans having been looking forward to this! 🧢🎉🏃♂🏅
Thanks Steven, appreciate your support lad 👊🏻
Would definitely love to finish in Newcastle as I’d be able walk home, but it would be quite the climb up the motorway to the finish!
Very true! I know there’s probably other logistical problems but think finishing in Newcastle could be cool!
