BoJack Horseman - Bojack Meets Pinky Penguin
I need youtube to stop recommending me this scene when I'm at my lowest mentally
Bojack: “People were coming to her funeral saying ‘well this was bound to happen’ but it wasn’t bound to happen!” Bro she literally stab’s herself in the gut out of spite, this girl was always destined to die young ☠️
The worst part is that BoJack doesn’t even know what he’s apologizing for. He thinks Herb is mad at him for getting him fired when all Herb cared about was their friendship. This showed Herb that BoJack wasn’t sorry for anything
Seeing Herb run shouldn’t be funny.
Okay but why he fighting him over a telescope?
Corny ahh show make a joke ffs
wht episode is this
So when Bojack gets an old homeless man killed on his bender, its w/e. 🤷♂️ But when it’s a washed up female celebrity junkie that sudo looks up to him that dies in Bojack’s watch, she is immortalized into his psyche and gets storylines dedicated to her saga. 🤔 Im sure some intelligent commentators will say “it’s just a show! Don’t think about it too much!” But this kinda comes off as ‘If a man gets affected by Bojack’s actions, who cares!’ 🤦🏽♂️
Honestly, Bojak did the right thing by not sacrificing his dream because a friend made a mistake, cancerman is way too egotistocal
0:31 the amount of bottles that appear 😭😭😭
1:43 hey bj! put that back asshole! 😠
With this much negativity I would t surprised if standing up for Herb would’ve litteraly destroyed Bojack
I love pinky's character so much and his problems with money
Todd is the best
Princess Carolyn tells him he needs to change but at the same time she’s being a bit of a pushover, not taking him to rehab and demanding he get help, instead she thinks that she can fix him herself
tl;dr I knew someone kind of like Bojack and they let me down in a similar way. That makes this scene even better for me now.
I had somebody like this in my life. I thought the world of them. We went through a lot together. They were there for me on Discord when I was being falsely admitted to a hospital and I had no idea when I might have been getting out. I got to know them so well, and we had so much in common, and every time we fought, we would work out our differences, and grow closer. Then one day, without any form of warning, they threw me under the bus in one of the most hurtful ways possible. I took it out on myself, and even tried to kermit sewer slide (filter evasion moment lol). Over the next eight months I slowly began to realize that either whatever they felt towards me had withered up and died, they never felt it at all, or just were too self centered and focused on themselves that they never considered my feelings on the matter at all. Hell, they even ADMITTED that they knew what they were going to do would hurt me the most, and they did it anyway without any kind of warning. They warned several other people, but they never warned me. One day everything seemed to click for me, and I lost all sympathy for them. I just suddenly realized one day that all their words rang hollow for me. On the 1 year anniversary of them throwing me under the bus, I sent them the most rancid, hate-filled letter (as fate would have it they seemed to already be upset about something at the time I sent them the message, so that was a bonus for me). They said 'Have a nice life'. She seemed to be typing a really long message after that, but I blocked her before she could send it. At first I was disappointed because it wasn't the response I had been banking on, but when I searched up the phrase I realized it meant she never wanted to have anything to do with me again. Never spoke to her again after that. Never contacted her. I have the means, and I've considered doing it several times in the 2 years that followed, but each time I realize that she's simply not worth it. Narcissists suck. If either of us tried to apologize to each other, it would definitely go like this. I always liked this scene, but going through something somewhat like this personally gives me an even greater appreciation for it now.
Honestly, good on Herb for spending the whole time roasting bojack. He deserves that.
“I don’t forgive you” “I understand” If it had went like that, maybe bojack could gain some sympathy. But he only apologized hoping that he’d be forgiven. That’s not how apologies work.
She threw the coffee away without drinking any of it.
No you should have walked out with his friend his poor friend
I like how BoJack just assumed he’d screwed up again.
Herb was absolutely in the right to not forgive Bojack, after Herb was outed, he knew the industry was gonna turn their back on him, he just wanted ONE friend to be there for him but Bojack was only looking out for himself, that half ass apology wasn’t for Herb, it was for Bojack to feel better about himself :/
When i watched this the first time i sided with bojack, but now i understand herb was totally correct Bojack is a total jackass
Herb didnt care about being fired, he valued bojack more as a friend and thats what he wanted, but bojack let his insecurities convinced him that herb could never forgive him, so he cut ties with his friend that made him famous. Its also implied herb was in love with bojack and while he'd be okay with bojack not returning his affections, it probably hurt even more to know the man you love, never wanted to see you again.
Why is he a human horse?
Ok
Didn't he, like, sexually assault Bojack? And not once.
When was this? Genuine question
He did push onto a kiss but backed away immediately, he definitely did have vibes but i think with most things, communication is key. Bojack instantly communicated he liked and loved Herb as a friend, but he didn't swing that way, and it was pre acceptance / aids / hiv era 2000s and potentially based on the Ellen Cancelation for F/F times of 2000s. Bojack was still within his rights to not feel comfortable fetishized with the nude picture of him, but at the same time, Herb still seemed to be happy to keep the friendship and backed off immediately and cordially and remained as a family kinda to the cast. It's kinda implied that bojack in his verse, got all the building blocks and manual to film a pretend good life but was always broken behind scenes, even on the set, wearing masks. He was still broken, but Herb's pov might have been watching the one guy he thought would be there at 1:19 turn on him, for career, stealing the dream herb might have thought they'd do together, that he could have given himself, but shared. Only to end up stabbed in the back, the backstabber (to Herb's potential pov), 'keeping the children as a somewhat negligent / emotionally / verbally abusive alcoholic' with addiction issues. It'd be like a divorce a drunk person with anger problems got the kids they beat and then raised to later on have severe mental issues like Sarah lynn while a guy who had brief scandals had his life ruined. While Bojack went on to have scandal after scandal off set, but got kept as a show icon. Herb was a writer, he was disposible, his material was mid, but he was a good friend, Bojack was even worse than him at writing and they got lucky. But Herb got a lucky thunder chance, Bojack rode it, and left him to the wolves to his pov potentially.
@@idontlikehavingnumbersinmynameI dunno, I didn't watch the cartoon.
This scene informed an entire generation.
Todd did the impossible at 1:13 making cotton candy wet
This scene opened my eyes. You're not obligated to accept apology. We've been taught since young to always accept apologies and forgive, no matter the offense, but there are trangressions a simple apology can't wash clean. Especially if the apology is so hollow.
I think Herb would've forgiven him if Bojack had changed, even after years of no contact, but he could see through his shit. Bojack didn't deserve forgiveness until he was a better person.
2:10
When i heard the "i don't forgive you" audio for the first time, i thought, hey that seems kinda unreasonable, but seeing the full scene, that was the most pathetic attempt at apologizing i ever heard Keep in mind i never saw BoJack horseman
Everyone is a terrible person and beyond forgiveness. A timeless message
Aw, we have a special snowflake!
Herb is acting like a early 20s white woman in this scene, a theme that would persist through the rest of the series when ever things got "deep"
Oh? and please tell me how a MAN would handle this situation? preferably a REAL MAN.
@@ownedmaxer607 Fly through the wall and say. "I am groot. I am allowed to have no feelings or emotions to appease people i don't give a shit about. Wo beyond me, i must now go to the hardware store and drink car varnish and talk about paint colors for 4 hours."
"(sobbing hopelessly) Then why did we spend $20 million on marketiiing?!" Can we just appreciate the delivery of that line there?
I can tell Bojack was conflicted about what to do. Had he chosen the sliver of decency that pops out of him every so often, things could’ve been at least marginally less shitty for everyone involved. Bojack is fundamentally screwed up and no matter what he’d make horrible choices. Had he kept Herb in his life though, I feel the human would have been a better influence on him and at least steer the stallion away from far worse things. Things would’ve always had tension and be far from perfect, but such a future would’ve at least been better.
Then it sure does hurt more to have trusted in the jerk to stay by your side, eh Herby? 2:11-2:30
Soooooo, I just found out thanks to this that the land of freedom legalized gay sex between two consenting adults in June 26th of 2003, whereas Spain did in December 26th of 1978, and to put it in perspective, the Spain legalizing homosexuality was the one that still had francoist ministers as it was in the transition, like, 4 years after it ended and only 3 after the dictator died.
You know? If Bojack wasn't there just for someone to forgive him so he could feel better, if he never asked Herb for forgiveness and just kept this way, Herb might actually have forgive him in a way, not in a "I fully forgive you for ditching me after I gave you all you have" way of course, but in a way that they might had been together a couple of times more before Herb totally recupered from cancer but crashed into a penauts truck.

Who is this DIVAAAA
Shieeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Wow...what a Conniving Unnerving Nasty Trollop
2:11
i understand her tbh, it’s honestly impressive how i held back so much when all i wanted to do was hurt myself 😂
What makes this even more fucked up is that she was totally bluffing. She had absolutely no leverage over Bojack, in fact she hardly tried to convince bojack here, it’s just Bojack at this point was too desperate to cling onto his fame and willingly sold his best friend down the river. She then succeeds to get Bojack to kill Horsing around forever.
2:33 BoJack had the nerve to say *”I don’t know why I came here”* Yes. You do know why you came to Herb for forgiveness. Twenty years too late. You chose a deal over your friend that was being FIRED for a misunderstanding. Now I get it everyone that BoJack is fictional. But if he understands me. Hopefully my words can get through his thick skull. Same way Herb did. Because if my words can’t get through his brainless head of his, Then nothing will. I’m sorry if you guys think I’m taking this too far but I’m just trying to be honest since the show ended on a very bad note in 2020.
