Moto pessima. Ho comprato il modello 2023 dopo averne avute 2 vecchie stesso modello.. la odio. La moto va malissimo chisa ai bassi e l'intervento elettronico che ovvia al freno motore la rende inguidabile per uso sportivo. davvero un abominio. non compratela. P.s. anche modificandola con scarico aperto e rimozione catalizzatore non si risolve il buco in erogazione.

I own a ZX14r. I will never part ways with it, but since I am able to ride again, an adv is my next addition to my bike family. I wouldn’t DI the things a dual sport could allow me to do, so the adv is the answer for me. I loved the video

Love my 08 690 enduro. Updated rocker assemblies, and love the crap out of it.
The dash is fine other then it needs a 6th gear indicator. Running down highway speeds with all the noise and vibes with Motoz HT's sometimes its hard to know for sure if its in 6th.
I have rode a lot of 2 tracks in U.P. of MI and about the same. Tame enough for an adv bike. An adv bike might add some challenge.
I have a cherokee and old fsj wagoneer. I also have a 73 360 enduro and a Buell Ulysses. Each has it's place. 66% of motorcycle injuries are the ankle from dropping bike.
Dual sport goes down single tracks and roads. Adv is better for 2 tracks and highways. I like old heirloom yellow apples. Better taste. I have an enduro and a adv. I won't want to ride my 2 stoke hours down the highway. My adv would be scary down a single track with 100 hp and 110 nm. But it will get me to camp down the 2 tracks. I ride a lot of dirt roads. The Buell is more fun on road and old 73 360 Enduro is more fun off road.

This is stupid. Don’t have an ADV bike but your opinion is shit. For men over 6 ft tall this is one of the only comfortable options. You should worry about you.

Just bought a new Husky 701. No local KTM dealer so made decision easy. Loving it , my new adventure bike . Handles road miles easily and perfect for the 100 of kms of gravel trails near home

Couldn’t be better explained, bravo!! I ride a 1290R no bags, no gear, I’d never go camping with the thing, it’s just a huge dirt bike to blast on smooth gravel roads, it’s just a toy….
Funny but true. I do have a R11200GSA low chassis but it is set up for road only. It doesn't even pretend to be an adventure bike. I just like the way it looks, handles and how comfortable it is for long distance, not to mention I have no trouble keeping up with any sport touring bike.

Yup, that's so true 😅 I've bought ktm 390 adv only for traveling on road and a little offroad to take a picture in nice places. For real offroad I have suzuki DRZ400, It's awesome motorcycle for that.
Its hard but the truth. Also had a african twin, never took it truly offroad. Te expensive to repair if it crashed and also a dickens with the insurance companies in sa if they find you went offroad and fell... sold mine and bought another speedbike. Does the same job just faster😊
You will never be more than the 690
I just got a 2021, there is NO way I would buy a pre 2019 690. I did my homework. The older ones have that vibration that will never go away, and the roller rocker arms have roller bearings that can and do fall out and destroy the entire engine. You basically need a new engine. New versions dont have this. Much smoother engine, neither footpegs or handlebars buzz on hiway. I rode a 2013 and it seemed like no top gear for hiway, I was in 5th gear on the onramp with no where to go. I owned a late 90's Lc4 and it was insane, the shaking and buzzing and vibrating only got worse with speed. Of all the negatives you mention about the newer 690's? Most everyone thinks they work great. Selling a pre 2019 is a real trick, they sit on craigslist. People know. Their price drops. You are the only guy saying older ones are best, but its youtube and anybody can say anything they want. Its funny how virtually everything KTM does is seen as a negative here.

Don't forget the shift star (detent)... If it is not updated to the stronger aftermarket model the stock one will fail on you.
They are sports touring bikes with off road suspension for soaking up the bumps. Im ok with that. 😊
