JoAnn has the stupidest pricing methods. Overpriced stuff nobody will buy because the price isn't be reasonable without a coupon and who knows when that item will be marked down? If you need something right away, you overpay just to get it and you feel like a sucker. Plus they always act like trying to check out or get fabric cut is a huge ordeal for them.

I remember driving from the Milwaukee area to go here. It was quite the place. High end stores, yet it had all of the basics as well as specialty places that we did not have in Wisconsin. The mall was always relaxing to me...a good color scheme to walk through. And the Christmas decorations back then...spectacular (well, when malls and store used to go out of their way to put them up).

The Apple Store is keeping that place afloat.

Back in the 70s/80s Northbrook Court was really something else. Now it looks like even the Neiman's has gone downhill. So sad. Now they just need to put a Wal-Mart or Costco and a bunch of Vape shops in. I.Magnin was once an anchor department store too. It was where the movie theater is now.

Last time I went to BigLots was to get a great deal on a decent size swimming pool. I had a 15% off coupon and the pool was already discounted. When I was at the counter I noticed how old the money register was and it reminded me of KMART. This was two years ago. From time to time they can have good deals but not the best store for daily purchases.

I stopped going here when their prices were no better than the next guys

I used to live in Niles about 10 years ago; I've noticed two other Best Buys in Skokie-one across from Old Orchard Mall, near the DSW shoe store. In my perspective, Best Buy seems outdated, and I foresee a fate similar to what happened to Toys "R" Us. People aren't flocking to electronic stores in droves anymore, and the last Black Friday sale I went to last year, was nothing like it used to be..when I used to line up hours before the store opened..

There's only ever been one Skokie location. There are several within half an hour. Not that they're going to be there forever... but wow the click bait!
