I love Ryuki, it's my favorite Rider series, I've seen it 3 times, and I'm currently rewatching it with a friend... it's so great, I love Ryuki. As for the spin-offs, the Agito crossover / Hyper Battle Video is a little comic relief thing, you don't need to know *anything* about Agito to watch it; just short and sweet. The 13 Riders Special is a true AU with more of a plot, and I really liked everything up until the ending(s) - but that was just because I really got too pulled into the story than I should have for a special lol Episode Final is an AU of the finale, basically, and in my opinion I'd sum it up as "awful ideas but great execution". The concept behind Ryuga, the Black Ryuki in the video, is really interesting, but I don't think it fits the series at all, and while there are some other stupid moments, it has some great music and one of the BEST fight scenes in the series. I don't like Rider Time Ryuki. It's a Zi-O special / 18-years-later thing that just doesn't live up to being Ryuki. It's nice for the fanservice, but the soul of the original just isn't there, between being an AU, and between recasting so many of the Riders and not properly developing them (in my eyes, at least) But I wouldn't say spin-offs are so bad they *should* be skipped, since there's a lot of people who do love them, and at the very least there's something to talk about in all of them, whether it be how different people handle the characters or how they're rewritten to adapt to crossovers!

I've always wanted to watch the show since it came out, but is stayed on my list for years until recently, and then I loved it, then I read the manga, and I cried it was so good, really a work of art, not many series are better or as good as this, thank you houseki no Kuni.

This was a straight musical and all animation but I think that was kind of the point

Im so happy this Story got its ending, It still Hurts to see them burn away from the Sun but it felt like they were finally free from the shackles. I pray this after this it gets its 2nd season and more, heck even a movie

This is a year later. However I would still like to mention that Studio Ghibli is pronounced Studio 'Jibry' with a soft J. I heard a Japanese anime spokesperson talk about this and like to follow a suggestion by a spokesperson for a film industry of a different nationality. Just as I would like to use French pronunciation in a French context as in say the French/Belgian film set in German occupied Vichy France : 'Le Silence de la Mer' (and do, as I have learned to speak and read and understand French language.)

The "rumours" aren't like that, Anno wanted to tell the gap between 2 and 3 (which is what originally was going to be film 3 to start with), but he didn't want to do that himself, so he'd be happy if someone else in the team took that project and made it live. And saying that Evangelion is Anno's work is quite shallow, everyone involved in the project had a lot of input in it and many things that are loved today weren't in Anno's initial plans or even were against his initial view.

Ryuki always has been my favorite series and I've watched all heisei riders. It's one of those "turning point" shows in the series because it changed a lot from what KR was originally. Kamen rider was always about a hero of justice fighting against villains who share his power, which ryuki and later riders do follow to a tee but ryuki was the first to really introduce many kamen riders each with their own views and motivations with some being morally grey, selfish or outright evil. It still sends the messages of justice and turning your life around to do good that riders before did, but in a new perspective where good guys don't necessarily always win. Yeah, got so much more to say but I think this is enough for now. Also do watch 555 it's awesome and also deals with very personal stories that hit hard. I'd also recommend the movies KR ZO and KR J and the series Kamen Rider Black if you want to give showa riders another shot!

Continuing with Faiz is the right choice. Agito, Ryuki, Faiz, and Blade are the pinnacle of the best writing in the Kamen Rider series. They manage to make great stories for 4 times in a row in 4 years. And I feel like the reason those stories is so good because those writers forget that this is a kids show 😅

I liked Kuuga more but I like Ryuki as well

Funnily enough I actually remember watching Kuuga all the way to Decade when it aired in my country with local dub. I specifically remember Kuuga getting his belt painfully, Agito's transformation (although barely), and my personal favorite kick, is Ryuki's Final Vent. Still stuck to my mind to this day. I was probably like 7 or 8 at the time 😂.

As a musician, bookworm when I was the age of Shizuku, a bit introverted, the middle scene of the song really made me cry for no reason other than joy, and yet I saw this movie at 27 for the first time, a few months ago. But my younger self related a lot with her, and I had strange feelings of going back there..

Ryuki is a strong classic and still one of my absolute favourites. It manages to reinvent the series from the ground up without veering away from what makes the Kamen Rider series what it is, but re-contextualized in a world where the line that separates man and monster is scarily thin.

If you like the series, I totally recommend the Movie (Kamen Rider Ryuki: Episode Final). It continue from the series episode 44 (around the time Imperer is eliminated) but has more Rider added (Femme, Verde, and Ryuga) and it give alternate ending to the main series Fun Trivia, due to scheduling nightmare, the Movie was released mid-series before the TV series is even finished, so the Japanese watcher that watched the premier see this Movie Ending first before the TV Series Ending, and some even joked about this Movie ending is the real ending and the TV Ending is the Alternative one. If you want to see more Kamen Rider, my recommendation next is: 1. Faiz. It has great plot-twist and tragedy. Even the early episode is enough to make you feel for the characters. Also amazing Design and Aesthetic 2. Gaim. One with the best story direction. It started as light-hearted show and lots of funny moment at first, but after a series of plot-twist, the plot shift to high gear and this one probably has one of the darkest plot, and IMO has the most amazing conclusion for the series. 3. Amazons (The remake one), if you into the bloody series like Shin Kamen Rider, you need to check this one. The story and fight Choreography is amazing, but need to emphasize that it's very bloody.

I’m going through kamen rider in release order from the beginning of heisei as that’s about when i would’ve caught it as a child on tv if they did have it(I grew up watching ultraman tiga so that’s the timeframe) and I’m on blade rn but damn ryuki was on another level. I binged the entire thing in like a week then watched the movies and rider time because I just needed more of it it was so interesting(every other season took me at least 2 weeks) I’m horrible at explaining but like seeing the clashing morals or whatever and the characters are all fun too I fucking love that potentially bisexual bastard lawyer man kitaoka. Also man that ending was just wow. Kuuga might be my favourite show from the series but ryuki is my favourite rider show if it makes sense like kuuga is just an amazing show overall even outside the kamen rider elements but ryuki is the peak of rider shows from what I’ve watched. Also since you’re watching faiz next get prepared for inoueism that man loves misunderstanding and miscommunication to create drama but strangely I wasn’t really put off by it in faiz yes it was frustrating but I found it the good kind of frustrating

If you want another toku starter pack show, watch Kamen Rider w. Its got everything the series is about, and is the basis for a LOT of things they're still doing today. Its even got a anime adaptation of the manga for when you want more.

Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, the only good American Kamen Rider season, was actually more than Ryuki, even getting a sequel book. Ryuki has had several returns which is nice, Ouja in one storyline, through figure story line, had gotten a Survive Form, in turn got the power to combine about every Rider Contract Beast. Also Den-O was my first season and one of my favorite.

Ryuki is my favorite show of all time, i don't think any other season of rider comes close. it's really special

Kamen rider zo was my first exposure to anything japanese. I was 3 years old then and wondering why I didn't got nightmares from it…

Ryuki's post season content ranges from decent to pretty good so you don't have to worry about them. Seeing that you have Ryuga in your video you've probably seen one of the Ryuki movies, but there is another special called "Rider Time: Ryuki". It's a 15th anniversary spin off for the show, a decent amount of the cast returned too. Even though it's loosely connected to Kamen Rider Zi-O (an anniversary season), you can probably watch it without checking out Zi-O (Zi-O only appears in the end to finish a monster). For the 20th anniversary, some Ryuki characters made a small cameo in KR Geats & Revice Battle Royale crosover film. So if you decide to check out Geats and/or Revice in the future then you have something to look forward to! Oh and also, Asakura keeps popping up in obscure KR spin offs for some reason and he goes pretty hard in those too (I'm not gonna go into detail because they're crossover heavy).

Ryuki is definitely a great place to start. I’m so glad we now have a new member. In same vain as Ryuki, I recommend you Geats. It’s also a battle Royale and trust me, it gets real dark real fast.

Next by order; try Faiz, Blade, and then make a video on your take on Hibiki.

I do not like Ryuki. I never have. Most of the characters are morons (especially Yui’s grandma and Shinji), the story even if it wasn’t one of the worst example “deconstruction” that took the franchise eight years to recover from, almost got the franchise canceled again after only being back for three years at that point was a complete slog, and only four of the Riders at most actually deserved to be called such and the title character wasn’t even one them. Thank goodness Dragon Knight and Decade were my intro in to the franchise. I might have dropped it if Ryuki was.

Kinda ridiculous that the mini arc meant to bridge the beginning of the finale lasted 2 1/2 years to wano’s 4 years. The story feels like it desperately wants closure, but no one lets it have it.

I love the Rebuild movies, well, 1-3 that is: 1.11 You Are Not Alone (2007), 2.22 You Cannot Advance (2009), & 3.33 You Are Not Alone (2012). While they are not as great as the series and original movies (Death And Rebirth & End Of Evangelion) they are still a masterful trilogy that kept the spirit of the original alive, as well as the meaning of moving forward despite overwhelming odds and strife. I will defend them to the death. 3.0+1.0 was very unsatisfying to me for many reasons. It really wasted an opportunity for Shinji, Rei, and Asuka to bond in the wasteland for at least half an hour as promised at the end of 3.33. The "wanderers" thing comes out of left field. Rei Q's death was so out of left field and we are given so little time for impact, plus it makes little sense. Rei dies, we hardly see Shinji's reaction, we get like 5 seconds, and then in a cutaway he is primed to confront Will-E, it is so rushed. Asuka goes out way too easily. The lack of SEELE was very noticeable. The plot points in the last half get really over the top, especially with the whole "imaginary Eva" thing which still is so asinine and to the creation of the new spear which comes off as a major deus ex machina. Kaji being killed OFFSCREEN was such a disappointment and we hardly get any time to spend with him and Misato's son. The way Kaji comes back in the finale is so ridiculous I could not take it seriously either. It is also a *crying shame* that Rei gets SIDELINED in this movie, after how important her character was in the previous 3 movies, after Rei Q dies the original Rei gets less than 3 minutes with 2 scenes which is just so insulting to her character. To top it off, the whole "neon genesis" plot point is just so cheap and lazy, plus it contradicts the message of the last film as Shinji essentially runs away from his problems by creating a new world via a *total reset* where he essentially WISHES ALL HIS PROBLEMS AWAY. Which is the very thing 3.33 said in no uncertain terms is IMPOSSIBLE and effectively punishes him for. Also, a lot of visuals in the finale were rehashed from End Of Evangelion. Basically, the ending feels like Anno just gave up and wanted the thing over. The passion was not there anymore. The fact the movie went through development hell, unlike the previous 3 entries, is quite visible. I would love to have seen the original version before all the chaos that got Anno to rework the project so much. On a more positive note. Probably the closest we will ever get to the original version of the finale is through the Japan Animator Expo (2014) short Anno produced and wrote called *Until You Come To Me.* Have you seen it? It does what 3.0+1.0 does much better in mere minutes, in my view. Makes for a nice epilogue to 3.33. Plus, there are two other Evangelion animated short films from the 2014 Japan Animator Expo that serve as epilogues to Rebuild 1 and 2. Them being *Neon Genesis Impacts* which happens mainly after 1.11 and *Another Impact-Confidential* which is set between 2.22 and 3.33. Seen them? If not, I highly recommend them, RS.

Wano was fire, oden backstory was peak. Watching whitebeard fight prime roger, PEAK. Fights were great fun. Loved the soundtrack, animation. Aces and Yamato scenes were sick. Rooftop was hype af. World building and emotions were built so well with orochi and Wano. Just throw away the ice Oni part 😭😭
