I enjoy a lot your Bach, is inspiring and mesmerizing. But this I am not sure. It needs rubato, different colors of sound, specific phrasing and enjoying the complex and beautiful harmonies and lyrics, it gets too material when you perform it. Rachmaninoff is not a composer to nail in one piece, one needs to study then perform it for years before reaching a confortable proximity with. Is about soul, Russian soul. The harmony in bach is crazy and whenever I go through my copy of the well tempered clavier I always play the chords then I go, wow - I did not expect that.

Penny, I L O V E Your exploration of the soul and structure of Bach, in such an adventurous, evocative, and bold way, really looking into the structures, harmonies, voice leading, and especially the possibilities for interplay of the contrapuntal phrases,.... from different pieces... is BEAUTIFUL, EXCITING, and excellent ! Keep on... don't question Yourself on the basis of a few idiotic nay sayers. KUDOs, and looking forward to hearing some of Your own original motifs woven into Your own original tapestry!

I think this is a really cool thing. When i first started playing Bach many years ago, I always did this thing where I would dissect and really look at the chord progressions just like this! Sometimes its fun to change things up a little and really see how amazing Bach was at counterpoint and harmony
