Want to help support me make more videos devoted to Mr. B's music? You can "buy me a coffee" over on my Ko-Fi page: ko-fi.com/penn... Thank you so much for your support!🥰
Beautiful!! So intricately woven together to make a whole with individual parts.
Thank you, Roseanne!
I want you to know your patience and commitment to this music is absolutely inspiring, and though I don't play piano, it still motivates me to work on my own music. Love these videos, thank you so much for sharing!
@CoreyandtheFigs Thank you!💜
❤❤ love your work!! I have limited time on piano so i mostly focus on Bach (of course!!). I recently had the epiphany of "joy of repeating random sections at will...." as opposed to being annoyed that i had not yet mastered a section (as if it were truly possible!). Thanks to you for inspiration - and JB too!!
@@looksee1001 Thank you!🎹
I arranged this for four trombones when I was in school. Your color coding and notes about voice crossings remind me what skills I lack at the piano to ever perform this myself. Some folk think that classical musicians are just reading music on the stage but your video showcases one of the ways musicians take to not only technically play the piece well but also create your interpretation. I appreciated the ❤ in your score. Sometimes these are translated into a musician’s face but too many times we are robbed of knowing which are those moments that tickle the musician’s soul. Satisfying performance!
I really appreciate this! Thank you!❤️❤️
Since I do not have the patience to study it and learn it my self, I will be watching it over and over trying to listen to individual voices each time. Great work as usual. Thanks from Greece.
Thank you! Indeed, it is a huge undertaking to learn this music!✨
As far s fugues go, this one isn't too hard. Give it a shot!
The required amount of silent switches is beautiful. Really shows how thought out the creation process was in order to balance the harmonies and melody.
After all, most of us weren't born with four hands. 😂
@@joshbrown7603 Thank you, Josh!💚

Это венец. Главная жемчужина всей музыки, главное подведение итогов. Человечество еще не имеет возможности оценить это творение. Я благодарю вас. И да, ваш голос очень хорошо))
Thank you, Volodia! Magical music that I can only dream of understanding at its fullest!🎵
That last few bars just made me emotional. What a nice performance and visualization.

Wonderful! I never tire of hearing this, and getting to see the score with your markings makes it all the more enjoyable. 😍

Bravo, Penny. This video is fantastic, because it combines the beauty of your performance, extremely clear voices, precise and rich articulation, and at the same time, it is a lesson in analysis. It was so interesting to follow your score. I wish you a wonderful Christmas and thank you for your production here on RUclips, which is so inspiring for us Bach lovers. Greetings!

I should make more comments in my music sheets. I will take your notes as inspiration. Thank you!
Thank you! I am absolutely a fan of writing notes in the music!✏
Canta tutte le note e fatti trasportare dalla musica del grandissimo bach
Do you think Bach thought of all the terms which you have annotated whilst composing, or was he just genius enough to do it all automatically?
Perhaps some, others not. Some 20th century influences, in particular, are at play in my notes, so that is just my brain doing its thing, however, the notes about Renaissance composers, the printing press and perspective in painting, rhetoric, too, would have surely been a part of his learning. It's all very general, but they are topics that came to mind while studying the piece and considering its unusual place amidst mid-18th century trends. Some of my notes on the page are very recent, others a few years old, so they reflect my journey through the piece, kind of like a musical diary, I suppose.✨
@pennyplaysbach That's really interesting! Happy festive season!
Hi Penny...appreciate the color codes showing where the voices go....BUT...was wondering if you could make available a PDF sheet music file showing your fingerings for this complex composition with all of your finger substitutions??? I could send you a few Pennies(no pun intended) for your service! Let me know please if willing to do.Bye.❤
Glad you enjoyed! The overhead view is the most accurate thing that I can share.
