Marko was a beast of a Phantom - just like I thought a pi$$ed off ghost would and should sound! Tuomas' arrangement is still my favourite! Henk was a hero of Floor's, the original Dutch Phantom, so it was great to see them together. Henk added the more gutteral parts as a nod to Marko! (I'd love to have heard the conversation between Jukka, the original drummer, and Kai about how to play this piece!) Marko sang other covers when Tarja was changing - eg "High Hopes" (actually a Tribute to Pink Floyd), "Symphony of Destruction" or "Paranoid" - the videos are on YT. The most genius bar of the entire trilogy is Violet’s words to the doctor: “please let my babies stay alive”. She couldn’t say “let my babies live”, bc it would blow up the final twist, so Ren rid the plural in in the S of “stay”. So you hear: “let my baby stay alive” and get the full punch in the end. He speaks 3 languages: Kazakh (mother tongue), Russian without an accent (second language in Kazakhstan) and English. So far he sings in 16 languages (phonetically). Dimash a refusé une proposition pour intégrer l’Opera d’Astana. Il pense comme vous qu’il y a trop de règles à respecter dans le chant classique. Il veut chanter ce qu’il veut comme il veut. C’est pour cela qu’il s’est lancé au début dans le néoclassique. Certains chanteurs d’opéra le critiquent quand ils commentent Dimash lorsqu’il chante avec des chanteurs d’opéra car ils se réfèrent strictement aux règles contraignantes de l’opéra que Dimash bien sûr n’utilise pas sciemment 😊😅.
