Your voice with Ren's song it's pretty damn magical. I'm going to guess ren's going to be complimenting you here shortly once he knows. Once he hears your love and passion in the song. You could be friends. 😊
@@RockPowerUSA here’s hoping 💕
at the start of Jenny tale Ren was beatboxing trumpet
Ren got the idea for Jenny tale from a news paper he read about a 14 year old boy that kill a streetwalker with a knife
you really should do Ren 8 chapters u will learn so much about Ren what he been though also if your going to do Troubles at some point there on his other channel @Renmakestuff
I’m impressed by the fact that he actually recorded his videos live. He didn’t lip sync to a recorded track as 99.9% of music videos are made. This is true raw talent.
And in one take no less.
yes fr like and the guitar playing is right there
In a world where the average artist lip syncs when they play live, or at least uses pitch correction, he's a breath of fresh air.
I'm a 53yo guy and it doesn't matter how many times I watch that, I always tear up. It's not just the genius of his storytelling, it's the genius in his delivery.
He's a true artist!
A true modern day bard
Well said and yes agreed 46 here 🥹 😭 ❤
Oh no - she's doing The Trilogy? She's not ready. She's SO not ready.... Yep. That's the reaction I had.
Oh man - same reaction… grab yer tissues! At least she’ll have HMack to lighten her mood - hopefully some fun happy Ren and friends 🍷🎸soon too! 🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼
She will probably get pregnant when she is listening to jungle #74 / message in a bottle retake when he is out singing sting.
I was thinking the same. Only recently discovered this channel and saw she was doing The Trilogy I instantly thought 'did someone tell her to bring tissues, a hot cuppa tea, a friend, a blankie and an emotional support puppy. They will be needed.
@@Donetravlinyes all. It's women had spontaneous full term pregnancy. Umbrella academy style
Suicide was the one that got me. Casually singing suicide suicide suicide...Then like ah fuck.
watching the rain in the window behind her slowly get worse as the jenny and screech story progresses adds so much to the feeling of this reaction
So true, perfect timing
Ren read a story about a boy of 14 stabing a sex worker and the questions he asked himself about how such a thing could happen . From the answers his imagination provided he created the tales . Jenny's tale seems sparce but it is only after hearing the tales of her brother and mother can you understand Jenny. Her history and motivation are told silently between the lines . Jenny has fallen through the foster system cracks and at 14 walks the streets in high heels too tired to be scared. Jenny has inherited her mothers trauma responses and survival tactics and is totally incapable of defending herself from her brother who had taken his survival tactics from his father who answered all his problems with violence and anger .
Rens tales is the very best explanation of the horror of generational trauma . As a victim of D.V. I have found great solace in the reactions I have seen to these songs . Watching big men cry at Violets tale has somehow cured my brused and broken heart .The conversations that have been started around this trio of songs are amazing as people tell their own stories often about what it has been like to grow up in abusive family's.
Ren has created all sorts of conversations around so many sensitive subjects ,sus;de .medication abuse and depression. He never backs away from the taboo or sensitive subjects and these conversation starters have been the beginning of an ongoing discussion in which your tears, sensitive remarks and emotive singing have been a great contribution.
Thank you for your reaction ❤
This is such a great summary. I think the most obvious theme is the generational trauma, but so few reactors catch how Jenny takes after Violet, freezing and staying silent when under violence (something Jenny doesn't seem to know she does, where Violet had the history with her father) and Screech takes after Stevie, with his violent tendencies and inability tocontrol his emotions.
Very well put.
Love the rawly emotional and technicaly in-depth viewing of the story, and your beautiful accompanying at the end definitely earned my subscription 🎉. I really hope Ren gets to see this.
I also found it remarkable that Ren wrote Violet’s Tale EXACTLY how it happens irl - with the abuser blaming the victim as it is happening.
@@genevievec.8002 Also, Violet's name is so close to Violent to capitalize on generational trauma and violence. I don't think Steve was Jenny's father, i think Violet's father was. That's why Steve was calling her slut and a liar, and her mother did not intervene because she was also abused and afraid for her life. A full circle. Sad part is that this isn't just a song, stuff like this happen every day
I have listened to this song maybe over 100 times and I cry every time. The way he makes you feel the story. I was a London (met) Police officer and have seen the cycle of violence play out and it’s a heartbreaking reality.
Young men/boys like screech deal with their own trauma often through aggressiveness and violence as not to appear weak whilst girls fall into self inflicted harm, and make themselves often smaller to avoid violence, and this is reflected in both generations. Sadly unless some one breaks the cycles they have a habit of repeating
Sad indeed what trauma can do to us.
For an opera singer, who by definition is familiar with some of the most harrowing, violent stories ever put music, to be so very moved by this comparatively simple, one-man, 13-minute opera, says a lot about Ren's talent.
This!!!!
Excactly! Opera is not short on horrible (but beautiful) stories.
You forget, that opera singers also rehearse until they're barely awake & the words lose all meaning 😅
@@mortenrl1946but we have to feel all the wretched feelings during the performances😂🫠! And usually in every single note out of our mouths, because that’s the thing about music🤩
Ren is an absolute artistic genius. He manages to use verse, literary artifices, music, decor and chorography to convey a message more relatable and clear than watching a movie. For me personally he's definitely on the level of "the classics", though sadly money and sharks make history, so he probably won't be up there where he deserves
Am I the only one who is ENCHANTED by her singing along with the song?! Oh my god! Her voice is absolutely mesmerizing! Thank you! We HAVE to get Ren to see this! Absolute sub right there!
Awh thank you so much:) I do hope Ren sees this as well!
@@NikolettaOfficial Thank you that was really cool. :)
Totally agree!
Agreed. I think her vocalizations really worked perfectly with sound and feel of The Tales.
I'm sure she's very talented, but I found her singing really detracted from the song & the storytelling. Having just Ren's guitar really makes you concentrate on the story. It's absolutely perfect as it is: & in its simplicity. Less is more.
This one is always a difficult one, so off the bat, thank you for the courage to put your genuine, honest reaction out there. Nobody expects a video to do what the Tales do, which is to evoke powerful, visceral emotions, while keeping the audience clinging til the very, very last word when the revelation rushes in with the empathy to replace everything else. Hard to believe this is just 1 man with a guitar, but he does it with ease.
I've seen hundreds of reactions to the Tales, and I've also witnessed miracles of love, compassion, understanding, and even healing in the comments as the Renegades pour in from all over the world with kindness, understanding, and support when needed. Ren occasionally brings us all into some very dark and uncomfortable places, but more importantly is that he elicits conversations on subjects that are rarely discussed, bringing light into the darkness.
The Renegades have become a legitimate force for good in this world, and I'm so happy that you've joined us to bring your own insights to the rest of us, and also sharing your own talents with us when inspired to do so.
If you need a little reprieve from the heavier side of Ren, as a vocalist yourself, I very highly recommend checking out one of Ren's busking sessions, particularly "Ren & Sam Thompkins - Earned It \ Man's World \ Falling". It is *astoundingly*, jaw-droppingly good and something I believe you'll very much appreciate.
Keep shining, Renegade. You've got an entire movement here for it
Great comment! 👍 I think you're right about giving her some of the fun Ren songs would be good. Maybe .. It's Alright would be good. I'm so glad she is taking this journey.
Or even Love Music 1, 2, umm 3? Or 4 damn it they are all awesome :) and a true flavour of Ren having fun...thinking fun though, The 1990s is great too :)
Thank you so much for you kind words. I truly feel honored to be a part of this community ❤
@@NikolettaOfficial Hi Nicole, I just stumbled upon your channel and although I've watched many reactions to this I nonetheless cried with you. Watching your reaction was beautifully honestly and captivating.
When you added your voice I imagine you didn't want to impose so to speak, too much over Ren, however, the parts of your voice I could hear was hauntingly stunning and it would have been incredible to have your voice louder. It was sublime, had to subscribe.
Flowers for you 🌹🌹🌹
A 53 yr old and Hi Ren as me in tears. Partner is a lot younger than me and was abused by her first bf between 14-16 and suffered one final beating fracturing her eye socket. She listens to Violets tale she cry’s that could have been her and in the end empowers her that she survived. Best first listen review I’ve seen about Ren. Take care love ❤❤
So sorry about your partner thank you for sharing that must be heartbreaking.
@@s2kkev292 thank you it was hard and after a few weeks she told me she wanted to foster and we have 3 foster daughters that have suffered abuse. Seeing them in a loving household makes her happy living with our own 8 year old daughter
Take care mate. 48yo and my wife has been abused by just about every partner before me. Rens songs help me understand some of the struggles she and so many others face.
Time for a introduction to Chinchilla I think. Chalk outlines gives you an idea of just how vocally talented both of them are!
hell yes
Agree!!!
I would also suggest Scarlett Fae. Ren has the most talented friends, seriously.
100%!
And how to be me!
Never apologize for pausing and actually giving an analysis.
There was a news paper article about a Prostitute being murdered by a Teen boy in London, which was the inspiration for Ren to right this trilogy, each one was recorded 1 year apart.. Jenny's Tale was released in 2019, Violet died in Two Zero Zero Five (2005), which makes Jenny and Screech 14 year olds. "It's such a shame" is so big in the song because that was the quote at the end of the article in the paper..
Jenny was 14 years old and a working girl on the streets of London, when she met Screech she froze and kept quiet just like Violet did when Stevie was abusing her. Screech was quick to rage just as his father Stevie was..
A tale of generational abuse and trauma wrapped up in a Bardcore Tale.
wrong!
@@supertuscans9512 None of what InconSteveHable wrote is wrong though. That is what he based the trilogy on.
Ren is a modern day Bard which is why he's so obscure I've listening to him for almost a decade he has always been amazing at telling stories with his music it's beautiful
Yes!!!! This is so accurate. The way men became legends and then myth, the way men became monsters, then grim fairy tales spreading warnings - through melodic stories by traveling bards.
“because I am Entranced by this man” is a statement echoing around the globe - isn’t he just phenomenal! ❤ Heart wrenching reaction 🥹 to this tragic tale of generational trauma & sadness.
Entirely agree with. :)
Wow beutifull voice you have, you just added something magical to this song, such a sad story.
I've watched a lot of great reactions to Ren's videos, but this... this is next-level stuff. An opera singer improvising a melody to a song she's only just heard?
Maybe the best.
Ren is the return of the troubadour, the minstrel, the lyrical storyteller that we all need. Creating epics from everyday experiences.
Bardcore is what the kids are calling it 🎉 hard-core meets Bard
Ren would LOVE to see this reaction❤. YOU, my dear, are a 💎 gem. So happy to find your channel. 😊
I was crying watching you crying. 😢😢😢😢😢
I may be a dissenting opinion (there are SO many incredible Ren songs) but I think you deserve one of his fun songs next! He recently did a cover of Back on 74/Message in a bottle that is phenomenal :)
And omg…your singing at the end was INCREDIBLE! I can’t wait to see what you do with future Ren/Chinchilla songs!!!!
I just saw your comment and essentially said the same thing (minus the Ren/Chinchilla part).
I was thinking the same. Ren can break hearts, but also have a lot of fun. Personally I love his Fisher Retake when I need to lighten the mood xD
i'm writing this at 8:49, knowing full well where this trilogy goes. i pause it because i see how emotional you are getting already and am preparing myself for the ride YOU are about to go on.
You are amazing! There was no way I wanted to sit down and watch a 48 minute reaction tonight, to a trio of songs I've heard hundreds of times and got on CD, I simply haven't got the time. And yet here we are 48 minutes later! You are as encapsulating in your way as Ren is in his. 👏🎶❤
Perfect words! ❤
Thanks for adding another layer. Beautiful
Thank you so much 🙏🏻
I'll say it again... we're getting Charasmatic Voice and Knox Hill, in one reactor!!!
Awesome!!!!
And I'll agree with you once again, lol..!!
With just a dash of Elizabeth's Aussie friend Julia Nilon as well. 🙂
Incredible..,thank you so much for sharing this ❤️🩹👏🫡🙏
Awh thank YOU so much (:
Great reaction, Nicole. I've watched this video over 100 times through various reactor channels and I still get emotional every time. What's funny is that I used to think reaction videos were dumb; it turns out that none of the content I was watching people react to was important to me. Ren's music is important to me so now I get it...I get the draw of reaction videos. It's living vicariously through the reactor and trying to recapture my own feelings on first watching the video. It's jealousy that I'll never experience this masterpiece for the first time again; each reaction recaptures something different that reminds me of my first watch. Keep up the lovely content!
Thats a great point!
so true!
There will come a day when i can watch this song with out crying, but that day is not today
Minute 42:00 - "Mum, are you O.K.?" - We all need a supportive cat :-)
your voice is like an instrument. Amazing
OK, Now surely NOBODY can dispute that Nicole is the BEST Ren reactor EVER. She sooooo gets Ren from the get-go.....!!!!!
PLEASE PLEASE NICOLE, jump in with both feet into the Ren rabbit hole. I'm so waiting to watch you experience the variety of joys..!! ❤❤❤❤
No question! Just beacuase of her Ren reactions I subscribed her channel. She´s gorgeous
I not sure about BEST because each reactor brings their own unique perspective. But I like the word Beyond. Simply Beyond. We found someone who actually enhanced three of REN’s 3 Tales which are Masterpieces by themselves. But we add her artistic vocal. And well… we all experienced it if we watch her whole reaction / analysis / and then performance. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤
@@Jason_xofilos You're not wrong......! Truth be told, I'm currently very biased toward the adorable Nicole right now, what can I say. 😁🥰

Its sad to me that this video has 110k views, yet she only has 8.4k subscribers. I subbed less than halfway through the video. People need to be better about subsctibing to content makers they watch and enjoy. Sorry. Rant over! This was a great reaction!!
Exactly 👍 come on guys jeez ❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏
You are on your way!!I hope Ren sees this. Don’t be surprised if he comments! He loves reactors!!!
"Everything he does. He Feels" That perfectly summarizes Ren in 5 words. That must be a record. I've used about 20,000 words and didn't even scratch the surface..
Ren is a modern day bard painting such vivid imagery with his storytelling that it pulls you in and forces you to keep watching - even when it gets physically uncomfortable during Violet’s Tale. And Ren uses this ability to shed light on far too real issues in the world. Ren is special.
And no one is ready for it…
As a man, yeah I cried first time listening.. never feel shamed, you are why people watch reactions, real reactions.. I have full love for you showing your vulnerability to us.. hope you wont be ashemed by it.. you feel what we all felt and you showed it.. that takes courage, and thats what people who watch reactions want.. actual feels of the person, not theatrics.. be strong and thank you for letting me be part of your journie into Ren.
I'm a total mess over here. Not only was your reaction heartfelt...and then your voice you singing tipped me over, totally. Hauntingly & beautifully.
Thank you!
Saludos 💚✌️
Ooooo! A choral! What a beautiful surprise. 🙂
"You can tell he FEELS..."
So do we all when we listen to Ren. Love the reaction. Pro Tip: You have only found the tip of the REN iceberg. There are NO bad Videos. React to them all!
You should do the Money Game trilogy next - you can do those one at a time.
After 35:00 when you started singing i pictured your voice being a dramatized version of Jenny's wails as she lay there in the floor. It was very ominous within the context of being something you dont really understand at the beginning of the song but it would become self-evident as the song progresses. This was truly wonderful. I had not seen the entire trilogy, just Jenny's tale so i also got to experience this first-hand
"Back on 74'/Message in a bottle retake" for a Ren song you can just have fun with and not be taken on an emotional rollercoaster.
Great suggestion
That is an excellent suggestion 💜
The unintentional symbolism of the raindrops falling behind you as the tears fall......just raw emotion. Bravo Nicole! Looking forward to following you on your journey further down the Rabbit Hole
Wow the lovey singing adds a great layer to this!!! Hope Ren sees it
Me too, it compliments it so well!
I have watched hundreds of reactions to Ren and dozens to this song specifically. I LOVE THIS REACTION!!! We are able to see the moment in which the emotion of his words hits you and it is obvious by your reaction you understand what he is saying and have a heart of gold! Subscribed and eagerly awaiting more!
What a beautiful and honest reaction. Your compassion shines from you.
Raw lyrics Raw emotions Raw reaction Beautiful humans All the best from Antwerp (Belgium), Nikoletta
The moment when Ren sings up into the stairwell in Violet's Tale is my absolute favorite example of how Ren uses the acoustics of the environment he's in for amazing effect
I hope Ren finds this reaction, the depth of appreciation and emotion was palpable. 🥔💜 So happy to have found your channel!
He will eventually
Just like HI REN this entire music video was filmed live with a lapel microphone and another microphone on his guitar and one camera and each segment of the story was done in one single take which again makes these videos so much more amazing. I want to note that Sam is so amazing with the camera. He certainly has an eye for detail drama and suspense. On a sidenote at the beginning of this song normally I hate mouth trumpets but Ren pulls it off like a legend.
Very cool, glad I stayed around to hear it.
This was special, thank you so much for the surprise at the end ❤ so beautiful ❤
Nicole did the same with her Hi Ren reaction too. Also amazing 😊
The emotional power behind ren is amazing, thank you for appreciating it with all of us.
Harry Mack does a tribute to Ren and it's amazing, it's on Ren's other RUclips channel called ren makes stuff 😊
Even more amazing, was he did it at RikaShae's request, before even metting Ren.
And that is why we protect Ren at all costs. We all cried. This song has gotten so many people to share their experiences or get help, and help others to understand a little more.
So why don’t you explain exactly what that means and what it entails?
The end of your video was beautiful, I think even Ren would be impressed. You have a beautiful voice, and I loved your reaction to this song
The way it is narrated we the audience at times BECOME Jenny, Screech, Officer Richard, Violet, and the Doctor.
Having moments of empathy for them all even Screech.
This. This makes the storytelling so powerful.
For some reason the fact that it is raining outside your window adds a little something to the reaction.
The operatic singing you did towards the end of this video,,, I just hope Ren gets to see this. It sided another level to the story. Truly amazing!
I was crying with you and I've watched this hundreds of times..one of the best reactions I've seen. Instant subscription
The greatest thing is you are still scratching at the surface of his amazing tallents. Look forward to you continuing to be amazed!
The duets with Chinchilla will change your life. And then so much more. And once you realize most of his videos are one-take life performances...
This is "Bardcore" for you. Storytelling on a Shakespearean level. Ren is soo good at this, it draws you in, grabs you like a well made movie.
Incredible reaction, your vocals at the end added such an amazing layer to REN’s performance!
Next "Chalk outline" ft chinchilla for pure vocal talent and then for the emotion "Suic1de" but you have to read the pinned comment made by Ren before listening to the song to know all the context and for it to REALLY hit home. Also RENEGATE if you agree, like this comment to make sure she see it :)
i have listened to literally hundreds of ren reactions by this point so it is lovely to get something completely different.... these reviews really add value to the slightly saturated review content - thanks very much - loved the hi ren one too.... ren has completely changed my life - your emotions speak volumes - keep it real like ren :)
That pickled bricks line is under-appreciated… but what a spectacular reaction. Thank you for putting your heart and soul into it like Ren does with his art. ❤️
This is for the surprise at the end. You're so incredible, Nicole!

I've seen the tales probably thousands of times and thought I was hardened to them but you managed to get me cutting onions again!!
Loved the accompanying vocals too.
Subscription earned!!! I love hearing people discover rens story telling, it hits everybody different but It hits them dead centre. I’ve never wept to a reactor before

If you want to hear a beautiful and upbeat stone, try Bongo Bong. Amazing artistry.
Do not worry about stopping. Basically, many of us would say Ren's performance is theatrical in the extreme. You, however, explain it much differently. It is more about the style and emotion evoked and the beauty of a phrase or melody or many other things. Hence, you add a great deal of value from your reaction.
Pause and talk as much as you want. Its your reaction we're here for. And its so beautiful and so sad. Right then, lets get to Violet...✨🥰✨

OMGGG i found your video by mistake and ow my gooood you are amazing. when you start singing I was shocked with this duo you and Ren...... want moreeee
Wow thank you! Glad you enjoyed :)
You're on the slippery slope now ..... "Hi Ren" is absolutely a must, "Sick Boi" now it's back and "Su*cide" but don't worry about the tears, it happens to us all. Ren is a musical genius and paints such vivid pictures with his performances (wont' say music video as that totally unplays the sheer theatrical and musical astonishment that he manifests in each). But definitely invest in tissues, as the tears will flow
...She started with Hi Ren...You can figure that out by clicking her channel, clicking search, and typing "ren".
I think her Hi Ren is the best reaction to that masterpiece I've seen. Check it out
"Su*cide" and "For Joe" can wait a bit -- let her explore other sides of Ren for a bit, especially that phenomenal singing voice, before bringing her back around to the deep emotions.
Agree about getting to some lighter sides of Ren before gettong to the other more emotional ones, but the good news is her introduction was last week to Hi Ren its a great one and on her page already. @serendipitish
This has by far been one of my favorite Jenny and Screech reactions! That surprise at the end was magical! I hope @renmakesmusic and his ftiends/staff/ entourage/family...whatever you want to call them all see this! ❤ ❤ ❤
The fact that Jenny is Skreeches twin and therefore 14 and is walking back home alone to sleep late at night in London and the lyrics "Well, she knew this town, she knew this floor, Because she'd walked it about a thousand times before, She wanted to escape, can you blame?" opens up a very dark train of logic.
In her high heeled shoes...
Now ask yourself exactly why a 16 year old Violet got social housing as soon as she left home
14 if she's screech's twin.@@jamesbrooks7698
also given that the story is inspired by the real stabbing of a prostitute
@@jamesbrooks7698 I think that particular theory is false for quite a few reasons, the first is that she'd be a minor at or before 2005 when she moved out. The stricter rules about housing schemes was not supposedly in effect at that time. Secondly, it's a bit of an obscure point that isn't common knowledge so unless Ren has specifically stated that he looked into those rules I wouldn't be so sure he knows the specifics of London's welfare schemes. Thirdly, an underage expecting mother would not be dropped into their own flat and given work at tescos to pay for rent, they'd be given more help than that. Fourth, she moved in, started to work, met and fell for Stevie, and finally got into the habitual situation where she knew he was abusive *before* she was 9 months pregnant. Given that the theory would make this a child of incest she would absolutely be recommended to terminate that pregnancy as it would still be within the legal abortion window, and unless she could speak up for herself as to why she wanted to continue the pregnancy she would likely be considered to be in need of psychiatric care and might not even be given the choice to continue such a high risk pregnancy.
Finally, but tangentially. UK police aren't allowed to wear firearms while out on patrol. They need to call in for armed officers, or if they had them in the car they would need to call in to be allowed to equip them out of the gun safe. There's been plenty of situations where early responding police officers have to stop someone attacking people with swords and similar while not having a weapon themselves. So in the song version of events it would be more likely that the police officer would be unarmed; they just arrived at the scene. Basically, the song ignores some procedures in the service of a good story. So I don't think evidence of relatively obscure welfare rules would be a good indicator of who the father of Jenny and Screech is.
The lying Stevie is talking about is, in my opinion at least, "I know you are up" not "The child isn't mine".
Thanks!
Thank you (:
The knick-knack paddywhack reference is from an old English nursery rhyme "This Old Man".
This old man, he played one,
He played knick-knack on his drum.
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone.
This old man came rolling home.
It reminded me of a song by Korn where he also sings that line.
Each Tale has its own musical overture which sets the tone for the Tale that’s to come.
Everything Ren chooses is purposeful and intentional without ever feeling contrived. He uses literary tools ( metaphor, simile , alliteration, personification etc) , his vocal tone and cadence as well as his playing style depending on which character he is playing or narrating. His direction and his cameraman / cinematographer is Samuel Perry- Falvey are very dynamic and create real pieces of performance art.
I am so glad that I watched your reaction alone. Because your tears made me have tears. I’m 47 and a male veteran. Probably shouldn’t admit that on here. Great reaction I felt your emotion. Awesome job.
Don't worry about stopping the video to analyze it and give us your thoughts. Most of us have heard these pieces from Ren A LOT of times, we're here for your reaction.
The surprise ending... Oh my word!!! You gave me chills so many times. Your voice... you made the story even more dramatic, though I wouldn't have thought it possible. Beautiful!!!
Your voice pairs along with the song so well, feels like the soul of the empty city crying its story of warning and sorrow out to all the people who will never listen.
That is quite poetic and very well said!

I love your reaction style, and how clearly your empathy shows through. After seeing your Hi Ren reaction, I knew this one would hit you hard. It hits everyone hard, even after watching it over and over. It's always a struggle to reconcile the emotions that the trilogy invokes with the absolute artistry in the performance. Ren has so many other performances that deal with heavy subject matter, but he also has some amazing lighter fare that really shows his singing ability. If you want a lighter performance before diving into something like the Money Game trilogy, check out Back on 74/Message in a Bottle. Covers of two songs that shouldn't work together, but done by Ren with his own twist thrown in the middle makes for one of my favorite performances.

WOW WOW WOW! I was completely blown away by this video. I like to watch reaction videos of Ren songs and at first I thought this was just a good reaction but you adding your own voice to the song at the end was super cool. I’ll definitely be watching again.
Ren reminds me of a sunflower. There is beauty in the imperfection of the flower itself. Then you realize there is perfection in the construct of the sunflower. Sunflower seeds are arranged in spirals that follow the Fibonacci sequence, optimizing space and reducing shadowing among seeds. The angle between successive seeds in a sunflower head approximates the golden angle (about 137.5 degrees), which is derived from the golden ratio. Ren references this concept in 'Suicide' when he say "I see the world through Fibonacci sequences and double Dutch". To me that lyric symbolizes the order and chaos in the universe. I think Ren sees it the same way. What do you think?
That is incredible and so deep, thanks for sharing!
Great take - very cool
I think Jenny is based on a news article of a true event, screech I think is his him making sense of the other side of the story, and violet he wrote a few years later to round the story off. Love your reaction and your singing at the end :)
I believe he said that all three parts were written together. It's only the video release for Violet's Tale that was delayed.
No, they were all written years apart. Jenny's Tale was on his Love Music demo compilation from early 2015. But they didn't shoot a video for it until 2019.
Correct! The concept arose from a newspaper article about a 14 year old school boy who was stabbed to death outside his school, which is ( or rather was) a rare event at the time.
Your voice enhanced every emotion and enriched the entire experience, which I would have not believed possible before. It's like you gave voice to all of us crying to this music every time we hear it. Thank you.
Not sure if anyone told you yet, but Ren and Harry Mack are working on a collab over the next few months!!!
The surprise at the end was unexpected and awesome. Amazing reaction. ❤
He is a minstrel getting ready for a performance so the semi-occluded vocal warm-up & throat-clearing at the very beginning are on purpose. Most people just chuckle at the "trumpet sound." Ren packs in details.
