The "surprise" was actually really cool. I usually hate when people have tried to layer over Ren's songs with their instruments but I liked this one a lot, so I thought I'd say so. Great job! Someone else said, but I think just continuing with reactions to Ren's back catalogue is one of the best things anyone can do for him right now. Last time he went to Canada for treatment he prepared in advance so he had a whole ton of content to release over the time he was away. This time, he has very little warning and trying to push to finish up projects before he leaves is what ended him up in hospital. Worrying over whether he can stay relevant isn't what he needs to be doing... reactors can help keep his name alive. Other than that, his Patreon itself is pretty cheap and has a whole lot of content. And all his solo work can be bought on a distribution platform called Bandcamp where the artists get a much bigger percent of sales than through more traditional avenues (100% the first Friday of every month!). He doesn't need donations, but paying him for what he gives us is completely fair!

There are no children singing in the background it is a sample of the National Bulgarian folkmusik women´s choir singing a bulgarian traditional folk song titeled "Bre Petrunko" (you can find it on YT as well) which is for that beat sample just played on high pitch. By the way Ren bought that beat from a beatmaker named "Kujo" but that beatmaker didn´t clear that sample in the first place which caused legal troubles between those 2. Ren just resently few weeks ago posted a diss track titeled "Kujo beat down" for his own anger relief and it is fabulous in every sense especially musically = A fabulous beat with cello strings + a classical choir similar as like as the beat in "Sick boi" and storywise his dark side from "Hi Ren" is taking over controll in the intro of that track and then the dark side is going after Kujo + his girlfriend (she posted lies about Ren) vigorously + relentless...all also visually fully acted out in one take obviously.

Nice to listen to the original... and yeah, I could see how the pitch shifting might make it seem like children, though it doesn't in the original. Also, I really don't think Kujo Beat Down is a one take. You’re so sweet, NM. As the others have said, Ren says he doesn’t need financial support. At the time he dropped Hi Ren, he had a GoFundMe to support his treatments. He no longer needs that. So, the Renegades support Ren and reactors. As our leader says, a rising tide lifts all ships.
You already doing what you can do for him by doing a reaction and spreading his music. Ren always loved reaction channels and back when these songs first came out (And he was in the hospital) he responded to pretty much all of them. He doesn't appear to be as active doing that any more but he has never had a problem with people sharing his music through reactions and such and he has never copyright striked anyone AFAIK. By now he is doing fine financially. He's won awards and he owns his own music. There is no record company owning his music and taking the lions share of the profits. And he was never in it for the profits anyway. You already did him a great favor just spreading his music to a new audience!

Much to unpack with this one as you discovered, this was one of the first tracks that I saw people really take notice of on RUclips along with Hi Ren. It became very much a guilty pleasure to watch others experience it for the first time. I wonder what my own facial expressions might have looked like on camera, given what I seee in others reaction including your own Nicole. I found myself empathising with Ren deeply recalling a time where I experienced many similar feelings and thoughts. Not because of chronic illness but because of permanent disability this resonated with me, the feeling of being stuck, isolated, frustrated, angry without hope was quite real. It was frustrating for admirers of Ren that Sick Boi was embroiled in the dispute that it was, I can imagine it was a thousand-fold for Ren when very little blame could be laid at his feet for the situation. I am glad thought that I can once again see new reactions with peoples mouths agape.

And that should include seeing his 30 minute video explanation of that situation. It's not necessary to react to that, but it will give you SO much insight into Kujo Beatdown. You’re so sweet, NM. As the others have said, Ren says he doesn’t need financial support. At the time he dropped Hi Ren, he had a GoFundMe to support his treatments. He no longer needs that. So, the Renegades support Ren and reactors. As our leader says, a rising tide lifts all ships.
You already doing what you can do for him by doing a reaction and spreading his music. Ren always loved reaction channels and back when these songs first came out (And he was in the hospital) he responded to pretty much all of them. He doesn't appear to be as active doing that any more but he has never had a problem with people sharing his music through reactions and such and he has never copyright striked anyone AFAIK.
By now he is doing fine financially. He's won awards and he owns his own music. There is no record company owning his music and taking the lions share of the profits. And he was never in it for the profits anyway.
You already did him a great favor just spreading his music to a new audience!

Much to unpack with this one as you discovered, this was one of the first tracks that I saw people really take notice of on RUclips along with Hi Ren. It became very much a guilty pleasure to watch others experience it for the first time. I wonder what my own facial expressions might have looked like on camera, given what I seee in others reaction including your own Nicole.
I found myself empathising with Ren deeply recalling a time where I experienced many similar feelings and thoughts. Not because of chronic illness but because of permanent disability this resonated with me, the feeling of being stuck, isolated, frustrated, angry without hope was quite real.
It was frustrating for admirers of Ren that Sick Boi was embroiled in the dispute that it was, I can imagine it was a thousand-fold for Ren when very little blame could be laid at his feet for the situation. I am glad thought that I can once again see new reactions with peoples mouths agape.

I will watch every single one you do. People are already suggesting Kujo Beatdown. But I personally think you should do at least a few more of his vids before that one. Especially the Money Game trilogy. There are "easter eggs" in Kujo Beatdown, that you won't appreciate as much, without seeing more Ren stuff. And that should include seeing his 30 minute video explanation of that situation. It's not necessary to react to that, but it will give you SO much insight into Kujo Beatdown. (Which I think is one of his best works)
