A Day in Valparaiso, Chile's Cultural Capital | Murals & Graffiti
We spent a day in Valparaiso, the Cultural Capital of Chile. It is located just 120 km from the country capital Santiago de Chile.
We took a bus from Santiago to reach Valparaiso. In this video, we show what we experienced in our action-packed day in the Graffiti Capital, Valparaiso.
The highlights of our trip were the wall-art of Valparaiso, the graffiti and murals spread across the city and a visit to Pablo Neruda's Valparaiso House, La Sebastiana.

    Fun fact: india has 3 times the population of all of latin america combined. India also has twice the population of all of north America and south America also combined. Latin america must feel desolate to an indian. 😂

      @ParadiseCatchers I think the entire population of el salvador is like the population of a smaller Indian city. It's crazy to think about. I hope you had a great time.

      It is. Since most countries have their population highly concentrated in their cities, it becomes somewhat similar. Although it is still quite different, just creates a feeling of being in a city. We had a great time. People are very welcoming.

    Do Indian need yellow fever vaccination and certificate for Bolivia ?? Plz reply...my tour plan is arriving at La Paz , xploring death road, then heading for Lake Titicaca and crossing the land border to Peru...puno to Cusco to Lima and then entering Brazil through the land border.

      Hi Uday. Indians traveling to or from Yellow Fever endemic countries need to have a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate. All the 3 countries where you’re visiting - Bolivia, Peru and Brazil are Yellow Fever endemic countries. So, yes you do need the YF vaccination certificate. Check more details on this government website: www.ihpoe.mohfw.gov.in/vaccination.php

      Hi! We went to La Leona early morning and started the tour at 7:30 am, when not many people were around. But since you will take the transfer from Playa Grande, it will probably be later than 9:00 am by the time you arrive if you take the 7:30 am pickup. So, you may not get the early arrival advantage. You can book the 11:30 am pickup so that you get to see the waterfall and natural pool inside the cave in midday sun when the pool water color shines the best, on a clear weather day. You can use our coupon code "paradise" to avail 5% discount when booking directly online on leonawaterfall.com/?sld=paradisecatchers Enjoy La Leona waterfall hike :-)

    Very nice place! It reminds me of Los Yungas in Bolivia, when I was jung and Nature was still intact, we had many such places. I remember once we were swimming in a crystal clear river, the water was cool and fresh and you could drink that water. There were mango and orange trees with their branches wide over the river, so we just plucked the mangoes and oranges and ate them, and since we were in the river it washed away the peels and kernels and our hands and faces were cleaned too.... Our Americas are so wonderful, hope people protect this sacred places of Nature... You got your tilaks with blessings from Pachamama 😁

    Namaskaram 🙏🏽 Greetings form Kashi. It is very interesting you getting impressed by our Apus, Qhochakuna, Kachiqhochakuna and all Energie forms in Nature, and me myself getting impressed and touched by the Temples, Devas and Jotirlingams here in the holy city of Kashi. I even got to ring the bells at the Arati at the shore of Maa Ganga and had a Puja there. I am so blessed 🙏🏽 Thank you for the nice and impressive pictures and landscapes you shared with us. In this kind of environment, Nature touches you in a very special way. I wish every human could have that kind of experience, so that people value and protect more our Mother Nature. If you see that Sky in this colours and magnifisence as you showed in your picture, your ego gets small and your connection to Life and Existence grows .... it touches you in a very special way... Wish you all the best, good vibes... 🌺🙏🏽🌺

      Buenas Tardes 🙏🏽. We were mesmerized by the nature of that Uyuni to Atacama. The wildlife along with the desert landscapes are something can’t be described. We don’t think our photos/videos could do the justice. I agree with you that the vastness makes you humble. As we travel more, people and nature provide us experience that we cannot always put in a RUclips video. May be will make a separate video to talk about some of those feelings. Again, interesting to hear from you about your explorations in India. If possible, share with us some literature about the divinity that you mentioned in your comment. It will be interesting to read. All the best, and as it is said in Costa Rica - Pura Vida 🙏🏽

    • @michimacho73
      @michimacho73 2 месяца назад

      @@ParadiseCatchers Namaskaram🙏🏽 I agree with you that pictures and films do not do any justice to such places, but at least they give an idea of what it is. A video where you talk about those feelings and impressions would be very interesting. The Divinities I mentioned are the natural formations : Apus or Apukuna are the Mountains, Jatun Apu Pachakamaq is the equivalent of Shiva and Pachamama the equivalent of Shakti, Qhochakuna are all big Waterbodies like Lakes and Oceans , Kachiqhochakuna are the Saltlakes. All formations in Nature with a strong energy are called Wak'as. Like the Sun and the Moon are Wak'as, we would understand a Lingam as a Wak'a, since it is a physical formation with much energy. So when you go to any place it is important to bow down to the Wak'as of the place, be humble and enter into a "masintin" relationship with them, meaning a harmonious relationship. That is the reason why traditionally in the Andes when people arrive somewhere, they do not just sit somewhere, we ask for permission first and often a little offering is made. It is done in such subtle ways, that western minds do not even notice. There is no much literature about these things, it is more tradition, that due to colonialism and a brutal inquisition had to be very discreet in order to survive..... Maybe one day we can meet in person and I can tell you more (this space here has its limitations 😉)

    • @ParadiseCatchers
      @ParadiseCatchers 2 месяца назад

      Thank you so much for the explanations! We understand the limitations and that is why, we asked if we can get hold of some literature. But we know what you are saying about tradition and being discreet. Yes, we will love those conversations, if it happens. Nevertheless, this is a good start!

    Great video. Can I ask as part of the border crossing at Hito Cajon, what documents you need to supply or prepare for the immigration control? I heard there is this SAG form that you need to fill for some food declaration or you need some QR code of that nature. Given you guys just recently crossed wonder what documents we need to prepare. Thanks

    • @ParadiseCatchers
      @ParadiseCatchers 2 месяца назад

      Hi Steven. Thanks. For the Bolivia-Chile border crossing at Hito Cajón, this is what we had to do: 1. Customs declaration on Bolivia side of the border: one member of the family had to go inside and do the formalities. There’s WiFi inside, I connected to that, opened the form and filled out the form online while standing in the queue. When it was my turn, I showed the declaration acknowledgement on my phone to the officer. Our Uyuni tour guide assisted me throughout the process. But it was only me standing at the queue and interacting with the officer at the counter. 2. Immigration office on Bolivia side of the border: Both of us entered the office and got the Bolivia exit stamps on our passports. We were told that they sometimes charge a few Bolivianos as exit fee. But nobody charged us anything for exit at Bolivia immigration office. 3. We were transferred from Bolivia number plate vehicle to Chile number plate vehicle, and we continued the drive until Chile customs and immigration office. 4. Our guide/driver inside the van (from Chile) handed out the paper forms for customs declaration. We filled those out in the bus before arriving at the customs and immigration office of Chile. 5(a): At Chile customs and immigration office: First was immigration, it was very smooth and we got the Chile entry stamps on our passports. We had with us handy our exit tickets from Chile and also our accommodation reservation of the first place in Chile. However nobody asked for those. One of us was asked to share the address of the place where we were going to stay in San Pedro de Atacama. 5(b): At Chile customs and immigration office: Then we had to wait until every piece of baggage of all passengers was hand checked. We had to be physically present in front of the officer when he/she was opening our bags for checking. We had also handed over the paper form (that we filled in the bus/van) to the customs officer. We did not bring any raw food item or no other item that is prohibited by customs or requires additional declaration. So we did not need to prepare any separate document apart from the ones mentioned above. Hope this helps. Have a wonderful trip! 😊
