It’s naive to think there’s storytelling without lessons, morals, or “agendas”. If anything, older films and books that only portray women as meek or helpless IS an “agenda” supporting a patriarchal society despite it being historical fact how strong, passionate, and intelligent women have always existed throughout history and how they were erased from our perceptions by patriarchal and puritanical values. Yet the modern movement to show more complex characters and representation is being touted by conservatives and the ignorant as “a harmful agenda” because they fear changes to their values and beliefs despite how biased, inaccurate, and outdated they are. They fear leaving their cave to see the real world and instead will die content viewing the shadows cast on their walls. Even after leaving their caves, they continue to see imagined shadows that aren’t there, which prevents them from seeing and enjoying the world for what it IS and not what they feel the world should be. That’s why conservatives fear education and worldly experience because they bring growth and change, which is antithetical to conservatism.

The problem is that actors and actresses of today’s Modern Hollywood are spoiled, overly- privileged, snotty , disrespectful bigots that feel like they’re in control over anything they want in the entertainment industry.

Me personally I'm the kind of person who just doesn't care about bad writing, like when it comes to shows I genuinely love I couldn't care less, I'll still love the show (although tbf I'm the worst at criticizing things and tend to just go along with the crowd unless I have a really strong opinion about it or until I form my own opinion about it). personally I loved the 13th doctor and her companions, honestly I don't really remember much about the timeless child arc but I respect the writers decisions, If they think it's right for the show then it's right for the show (Unless it's something actually horrible like spontaneously deciding to drastically change a characters personality for the worse and making them an a**hole or smth with no good reason). basically what I'm trying to say is that I just try and enjoy shows rather than criticize every writing decision they make cause if I do that then I might as well just not even bother watching the show (Please excuse my punctuation and grammar, grammar isn't my strong suit)

whats funny is disney is tried to buy the rights to doctor who years ago, it was before they brought star wars and marvel which they purchased as they didn't have many male demo brands, who was ment to be a stepping stone to that idea, they even had some concepts for rides at there themeparks.

I'll echo other Brits over here in saying you don't actually need to purchase a TV license if you dont want it. I don't have one, nor do i want one. I think that now Disney has Doctor Who, it's not letting it go. It won't be cancelled, It'll just be milked to death.

I mean it’s a perfect storm for my not caring. Yes Davros is clearly a Disney move; Davies put Davies back in the chair in his original run. But I can’t go back to 2005 Who it’s too cheesy and aged worse than actually season 26. With RTD writing almost every episode Disney or not I’m not too excited.

Save old episodes on dvd's (yes archaic DVD's) and hard drives before they start to remove them so will have to watch their new crap. New age is coming and its awful.

You don't have to pay the tv/radio licence if you don't own a tv or use BBC iplayer over the Internet. There are also various exemptions. For instance blind people, care home residents, anyone aged 75 or above etc. Personally, I think the tv licence is good value, especially as it's per household, rather than per person, as you implied. It's less than a Netflix subscription, yet you get a lot more. All the BBC tv channels and programmes, all the BBC radio stations, local and national, BBC online, BBC iplayer, plus, indirectly, the massive support for the arts, particularly music, that the BBC provides. I think we'd be mad to get rid of it. We'd lose so much and the standard of programming would fall calamitously... Unfortunately it's become an ideological issue for many, despite it costing only a tad more than a packet of cigarettes, per month, per household! The lack of adverts alone makes pretty appealing to be honest, never mind all the other benefits. Part of the problem is that the right see it as left-wing and the left see it as right-wing...

I've been a fan of Dr Who since my early childhood. Prior to that my mother was so much of a fan she named me after a companion. My nephew was also a Doctor Who fan following the reboot. Essentially we're a multigenerational family of fans, and quite honestly, we'd all rather have seen the show die than become what it has. I was always of the opinion that SOME Doctor Who was better than NO Doctor Who, but that's no longer the case. It's time to let it go.

You don't pay a TV license if you don't have a TV in the UK 😂 only if you have a TV *and* watch live TV or BBC iPlayer, it is almost impossible for them to prove that you do those things though, so it's a fairly easy fee to avoid paying 😂

Unpopular opinion: Rachael Zegler is actually quite talented and I believe she can be a good actress and have a good career. But her attitude and entitlement stink. She needs to have a bit more humility as she’s not a likeable person whatsoever.

The problem Unholywood has is momentum. Movies are often in production... not just pre-production, but actual production... by the time we hear about them, and enough money has been committed already (especially now that distro pre-sales aren't a thing anymore, and that mid-tier angel backers don't exist anymore more either) that they cant' stop the train if it's looking like it's going to be a bomb. When the distro pre-sales thing was still thriving, it didn't matter to studios, as they'd tack the potential losses onto the next bundle, and the old gang of angels could scatter the losses across insurance and trickle-down. Now, they are all having to eat the losses, but as they are still so used to the old ways, they aren't properly processing the damage that consumption is doing... yet. They are starting to deal with the momentum issues already, but this will still take a few years, but they cannot "see" the money issues just yet, as they were able to remain blind to them for so long. It's now a matter of can they get their heads around the losses in time, or will we see some of the studios get sold or get gone.

They still have time to fully replace her in Sandy Brown and The Baristas of Doom, or to just shelve the project. I realise that Das Haus der Maus doesn't like to do Warner Discovery style "shelving for the tax writer-off" moves, but sometimes needs must. Leaked scripts... early drafts through to recent re-writes... have shown that Jonathan isn't even a Prince, let alone a love interest, and that the "Dwarves" are bandits with the "Prince" as their leader, instead of miners. Plus, in each re-write, Zegler's character has a smaller and smaller part, while Jonathan and the now-CGI-wrapped "Dwarves" have been getting larger and larger screen presences, so just shelving the project for the refund makes the most sense at this point, given that Zegler is effectively a sarin gas canister on a subway car as far as the public and the media are concerned. Yes, they could keep re-tooling and re-tooling, but whatever they end up with to release will lose them money, whereas shelving will get them their money back.

Unholywood never gets it right. Hire specialists in every area, not activists in every job role.
