Hey dude - 2:37 - name the agenda. If you don't the video is pointless.
It has already lost this weekend to Insidious.
It has indeed. As a lifelong Indy fan, this is absolutely heartbreaking.
A company that had 100s of employees arrested for trafficking chilren. Is mad and going full attack against a movie that promotes stopping child trafficking.
We all saw this happening. We all knew this would happen. The only ones who didn't see it coming was Disney. We try to make our voice on what we want and they don't give us what we want.
That just about sums it up.
Is that a Farscape jacket?
could be a Star Lord jacket
maybe ?. I loved Farscape & it had Jim Henson puppets like Rigel & Pilot. awesome show 😊
It is indeed a Star Lord jacket!
I truly feel sorry for the small independent theater owners who somehow survived the pandemic and reopened. Only to be spit in the face by booking this pathetic Indiana Jones flop.
I am wondering why theaters are taking Disney films serious these days. Most are flops.
This is an extremely important point. The theatre chains have been hurting since the pandemic, and even large ones, like Regal, have had to turn to bankruptcy. Being dependent on studios who not only feed them garbage, but then only to yank that garbage after a few short weeks so they can throw it on streaming services. It's like they're deliberately trying to squeeze theaters out of existence.
I make a widget and nobody buys it because it sucks. You don't blame the customer that doesn't like it, you make a better widget. This should be elementary knowledge for this movie makers. Ideologies don't sell movies.
I cannot 'heart' this comment more. It's basic economics. Their attempts to blame all these failures on 'toxic fans' is delusion of the highest order.
We KNEW this was going to happen. AGES back. (It's amazing Disney apparently didn't. It shows just how out of touch they are).
Ever since the Star Wars sequels and the Obi-Wan series, fans now KNOW what to expect from the CURRENT version of Lucasfilm and Kathleen Kennedy.
And they are pretty much sick of it.
They've become tired of seeing their heroes destroyed before their eyes.
So why would they do it again?
Yes, we did know. And we also know it would have been worse without the changes. I know we keep hoping that new newest offense will be the turning point for them, and we keep getting disappointed. We can only hope this is a big enough of a wakeup call this time.
Sound of Freedom was awesome.
I honestly had never even heard of it before it showed up on the charts. Glad to hear it was good!
The one thing Disney has not done and will not do is admit they made a crappy movie. They won't even admit it to themselves. They really believe Lucasfilm made a good movie. I think their long list of failures will continue.
Considering we now know they've had multiple meetings on how to spin this, you're probably right. They don't even understand that the most honest response they can make is also the simplest one: Admit that Kennedy has systematically ruined all the IPs she was in charge of and show her the door. The public, and ironically the shareholders won't accept anything less. No new media from them will be accepted until that happens.
You Tube recommended me this video and I had no idea Indiana Jones new movie is even in the make or even possible or that people even go to theater at all. Everything is online.
The COVID19 plague was officially over this summer.
Theaters are struggling to reopen and hoping customers will return. Let's us all hope for better times ahead and see if they still remember how to make movies people and families actually want to attend.
@@georgemckenna462 It is USA I guess. I do not see the point of wasting time and being in discomfort of watching it with other people annoying me. And the AC is over the top, too cold then too warm.... easier to stay at home and watch it. It is already available online for free.
@@MarinaArtDesign I definitely see your point. However, it is the world in which I grew up with.
The theater offers the shared experience. A place of open diversity and honest reaction from a live human audience. This shared experience is unique to the theater and just not possible in the home or cell phone world.
As I passed the movie theater near my home that is trying to emerge from bankruptcy, I noticed they were clearing the weeds that had grown up through the cracks of the asphalt parking lot. Trying to make a go of it after the pandemic. I hope the theaters make it back. Perhaps they'll just end up a relic like me, soon to be a memory.
GOOD VIDEO . KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND DONT SHILL FOR THE STUDIOS . I JUST SUBSCRIBED
Thanks so much! Never any shilling here!
From what Ive heard, its more woke bs. So no loss.
Kathleen Kennedy Film has produced another product on one wants to pay for, cause it isn't entertaining or a joy to watch.
I'm expecting MI to make as much in its opening weekend as IJ will have made by then,or pretty close...
It shouldn't people need to get as mad about the church of Scientology and it's members as they do about movies that are "Woke" I personally am Not going see anything with Tom Cruise or anyone else associated with Scientology 🙎🏻👎
@@rustyshackleford6035There is no scientology propaganda in MI movies.
@@rustyshackleford6035 Not going to see a woke movie will hurt the company
not watching a movie with a scientologist in it doesn't hurt their church at all
all you are doing is missing outon some entertaining movies
2:37 - ''putting an agenda before a good story thing'' - If you can't say Fem -in - ism - you have failed
I've mentioned it before in other videos (and will again, I assure you). I was trying to make new points.
@@RustyMacDuff good man
Yeah but there's context to what you're saying about BO numbers. On that day July 4, Sound of Freedom beat Indiana Jones because that was it's opening day, everyday since Indy has beaten it at the BO. And literally the next day Sound of Freedom dropped 71% at the BO. Also add in the fact that it's a movie about freedom that opened on Independence Day, of course it'll make money. Not saying Indy is a good film, just saying there's context to your chart
Valid, but the overall point was that under normal circumstances, it wouldn't have mattered *what* opened there. In the old days, even if it had been Mission Impossible opening on that day, it wouldn't have beaten an Indiana Jones film.
