Re-uploaded due to errors in the last video! Thanks to some new animations code, my "Security Grunts" can now breach doors with their shotguns as part of scripted sequences :) Happy I got the shell ejections and muzzle flashes working, these were fiddly and required editing the entity code.

New backplate created and added, textured with "Barney" armour texture. This removes the large bulky backpack the HECU have, since it makes less sense for the security forces to need the same amount of supplies.

As in the title, my custom "Black Mesa security grunts" now have new death and idle animations. Some death animations are based off the originals but with small changes, while others are entirely new :)
Half-Life - Security Grunts with Randomised Faces

Today I doubled the number of face models available to my new "Black Mesa grunts" and started reskinning them. I've been able to implement random selection of facial features and helmets when they spawn. Hopefully I can add more faces and make them look quite varied, as well as altering the standard "HECU commander" faces more :)
Black Mesa Heavy Security (Demo)

I wanted to create a force of allied soldiers similar to the HECU but loyal to Black Mesa. These can fight alongside the player in certain scenes, against both HECU Marines and aliens. They also treat civilians as allies. Quite happy I got this working and I'm happy with the reskin quality too :)

I just wanted to add to this video: RIP James McCaffrey. The voice actor for the Max Payne games passed away last year at only 65 years of age. I heard this news only a couple of days after I had been playing MP1. He was the perfect voice actor for the games and apparently a really nice and intelligent man to boot. He will remain a legend.
I actually laughed watching this again. Can't believe it's been four years since I made it! I still have all the old files, I should really do a video explaining how I made all this so I can share it with you guys and not forget it myself.
