Love the attention to details and I'm happy that Istanbul is gathering the attention of people around the world who are interested in public transport. Latest years have been full of public transport line expansions and the city is enjoying the new public transport opportunities as well as new walkable areas in the city. Additionally, there are in-house electric vehicles that's expected to take over the Istanbul's Metrobus line. They are more of trains with with rubber tires than buses and they have autopilot capabilities (thanks to the virtual rail technology that rely on new guide lines installed on to the metrobus driveway). They also boast significantly higher capacity even than the brand-new Akia buses, afaik On the topic of old vehicles, I think the M1 line's ABB trains take the cake in that regard. They've been in service since 1989, so they've been a source of nostalgia for me. They get *quite loud* when they pick up speed. Still, I'll miss them when they'll eventually get replaced by newer trains from ABB or some other company (Metro Istanbul has tested some Hyundai Rotem stock on that line but the tests didn't continue for some reason)

Great that you also look the passenger side. It seems that most busses are build only for drivers... or are bought for the driver, and are terrible ro travel as a passenger. Noisy, bumpy, creaky... Like they are trying to scare away passengers from the buss.

By the way they are extremely popular in the Philippines if you arrive in Manila and go north to something like Baguio the City of pines you will actually get a Yutong or Scania bus that was actually made in China and then assembled in the Philippines. Two operators that run north from NAIA to Baugio Genesis and Solid North. The first one you need to be careful because there are trips from the airport Pasay✈️ to Mariveles in Bataan the ones going to Baguio might stop in San Fernando for Bataan Trips they operate

I don't like seatbelts. I absolutely hate it in buses. A reason why I never wear them, except when driving a T100 bus.

The old Citea LLE was the least squeaky city bus I've ever driven. With 800 tkm it was still quieter than a brand new Volvo. Times have changed.

Looks nice; VDL should design a double-deck model and try to sell it to Arriva in the UK and/or the BVG in Berlin. This looks far better than the newer AD Enviro MMC/EV models and the newer Wrightbus StreetDeck models we get over here in England.

As a passenger on regular service with the VDL NGC LE, I must say I am really pleased but indeed the axle is a bit loud. I can handle it but I get it can be annoying.

VDL Citea is a very popular bus for city use. The bus is both practical for the driver with a very good environment for the passengers.

Very smart looking vehicle. Great plus for the dashboard ❤ as a driver difficoulties with reaching good position this is must try out. In Finland at Kotka region are having these smaller 12 meter versions in local services. I enjoyed previous Citeas LLE in Tampere local services when I was professional driver but most colleagues prefer Volvos, Scanias and Solarises... I am still intrested to see if VDL can deliver approx 15 meter long 6x2 bogie verision with 1+2+1 door layout 😊 If chance comes of course test drive The new one

In Singapore, all public buses as well as majority of coaches are no seatbelts...so.......it actually seems normal from my pov?

I don’t even think about putting the seatbelt on. Here in America, most states have mandatory seatbelt laws.

the VDL and Van Hool buses have a DAF steering wheel, the new Caf coastal tram there also squeaks and creaks because public transport bought the line the cheapest, a tram without USB ports

I ❤ed this bus very much. In some aspects it's better than my favorite MAN Lions intercity line-up. Waiting for the review of my low entry favorite - MAN Lions intercity LE 14.

That’s a really nice bus! Did you know that a Swedish town near Linköping called Motala are getting new Citybuses (Mercedes-Benz eCitaro) and new region buses called YES-EU, they are 15 meters long and should be in traffic. Have you done a rewiew of that bus?

Nice bus! We also have that bus in Belgium. This bus is operated by the Flemish operater De Lijn, which means "The Line". The serie is from 2901 to 2924. Greetings from Sri Lankan boy in Belgium.

I recommend visiting Estonia. In Estonia we have quite a wide variety of busses, City buses are MAN A40 and A78. Also Solaris Urbino 12/18 CNG, Solaris Urbino 12 Electric (15 of those), and Volvo 9700 Hybrid. And for county buses, we have Iveco Crossways, some are with city bus specs, for example, VOITH Diwa gearbox and city bus interior. Then we also have MAN Lion's City, and Intercity versions. These buses are in Tallinn.

13 degrees is totally unacceptable... MAN just is to late with there electric buses. Just look at Solaris oder Ebusco, they can reach longer distances without 13 degrees... Such a shame...

When do you test drive iveco streetway electric？

Though for some, being able to hear the soft engine & gearbox sounds while cruising, sitting at the back could be very theurapatic or sleep inducing on a long journey.

MAN Neoplan Tourliner coach is a good advance in comfort and technology. Man Lion coach needs a little more familiarity to get the best out of it.

Great video! Really like your channel. One thing that isn't right is your comment re: Independent Front Suspension and Double Decker vehicles. The Leyland Lowloader and Atlantean prototypes used a Torsion Bar based IFS system in the mid 'fifties. The famous AEC Routemaster London Bus used Coil Spring IFS from the prototypes of 1954 through to end of production in 1968. The RM drives really nicely. If you get a chance, that would be a great video for you guys! 😎

In Canada, a split windscreen is a must have due to rock chips. It would be too expensive to replace a one piece pane.
