Nice bus! We also have that bus in Belgium. This bus is operated by the Flemish operater De Lijn, which means "The Line". The serie is from 2901 to 2924. Greetings from Sri Lankan boy in Belgium.
Very True and 14 of those beautiful electric VDL's will come to Sint-niklaas due the 2 tunnels (aka bridges) are too low for high buses to go under so hopefully the new Citea's will do the job! 🚍🚍🚍
I am a public transport bus driver in the netherlands, and we also drive without seatbelt, so i am used to it. But the reason is, in the netherlands, if a bus have a maximum speed of 85 km/h, no seatbelt is required for the driver
As a passenger on regular service with the VDL NGC LE, I must say I am really pleased but indeed the axle is a bit loud. I can handle it but I get it can be annoying.
I work as a busdriver in public trtansport in the Netherlands and we're used to drive without a seatbelt on the city busses, We also have busses wich are allowed to drive 100 km/h and of course there you have to wear a seatbelt.
That’s a really nice bus! Did you know that a Swedish town near Linköping called Motala are getting new Citybuses (Mercedes-Benz eCitaro) and new region buses called YES-EU, they are 15 meters long and should be in traffic. Have you done a rewiew of that bus?
Very smart looking vehicle. Great plus for the dashboard ❤ as a driver difficoulties with reaching good position this is must try out. In Finland at Kotka region are having these smaller 12 meter versions in local services. I enjoyed previous Citeas LLE in Tampere local services when I was professional driver but most colleagues prefer Volvos, Scanias and Solarises... I am still intrested to see if VDL can deliver approx 15 meter long 6x2 bogie verision with 1+2+1 door layout 😊 If chance comes of course test drive The new one
I ❤ed this bus very much. In some aspects it's better than my favorite MAN Lions intercity line-up. Waiting for the review of my low entry favorite - MAN Lions intercity LE 14.
Looks nice; VDL should design a double-deck model and try to sell it to Arriva in the UK and/or the BVG in Berlin. This looks far better than the newer AD Enviro MMC/EV models and the newer Wrightbus StreetDeck models we get over here in England.
They did build a double decker prototype for BVG in Berlin, although with a diesel engine. It was in service from 2015 to 2020 where it had an engine failure and was taken out of service.
@@wclifton968gameplaystutorials According to a website the failure was too expensive to repair because the parts was specially made for this one bus. It should still exist, but without plates.
Great that you also look the passenger side. It seems that most busses are build only for drivers... or are bought for the driver, and are terrible ro travel as a passenger. Noisy, bumpy, creaky... Like they are trying to scare away passengers from the buss.
Don't you realize the driver is in the same noisy, bumpy, creaky bus? But he's there 8 hrs a day. Actually VDL tends to make the driver cabin very inconvenient, like they forget there's someone working there. First gen Ambassador was terrible, and so are the Futura models (with exception of the DD which actually has a spacious cabin).
@@bussmagasinet1Well...public buses and coaches are capped at 60km/h. Though it's the country's decision stemming from decades of public transport havving no seat belts on the public buses. Some coaches do have it, not all, only
@@bussmagasinet1 As long as people are allowed to stand in the bus, it shouldn't be mandatory to wear a seatbelt for your own safety. If you are really unlucky, you could be attacked by a passenger while you are strapped. Besides that, the freedom of movement is also a thing. Especially when driving in a crowded city, with bikes and pedestrians all over the place, overtaking you left and right. You'd want freedom of movement to be able to freely check your shoulders. To me a seatbelt in a citybus is not necessary.
the VDL and Van Hool buses have a DAF steering wheel, the new Caf coastal tram there also squeaks and creaks because public transport bought the line the cheapest, a tram without USB ports

How does the bus drive in reality?
VDL Citea is a very popular bus for city use. The bus is both practical for the driver with a very good environment for the passengers.
Totally agree 😁

YES-EU is the importer of Chinese Yutong buses

We do have an open invitation to test drive these vehicles. Let's see if we can get the time during the year.
Correct
I prefer the seats behind that cassette. It feels a bit more private and the cassette keeps your stuff on floor nicely on place.

They are planning the 15 meter LE 149 bus. I hope there is demand for and not to chose any Yutong or BYD busses. I've seen alot in Finland.
Would also love to see a 3-axle version of this vehicle! Let's see :)
