2:54 I was curious, and I found out that this spring McDonald's is opening in Tromsø, which means Tromsø will get the northernmost McDonald's and steal the title from Rovaniemi (and steal the title of Norway's northernmost McDonald's from Steinkjer)
Ever since seeing Michael Palin visit Tromsø on the BBC documentary Pole To Pole, I have wanted to visit there. Looks like a beautiful and unique city.
@@jokka83I have really no idea! All I know, is that I got a picture from Kimmo with an old Eagle with Tromsø in the destination box. That was an old picture. So, the route is far from new 😉
Great trip. 156 Euro for a bus trip with simple facilities onboard? No way, even though there's classic coach, but this is unbelievable. Even in my country though the expensive bus tickets is around 50 Euro for trip duration nearly about 3-4 days with ferry crossing about three times.
Then you have to look at all our other Norwegian videos. We have a lot of great test drives in Norway. Cinematic drone footage and much more. Subscribe to us, and see all our videos 😁
A week ago, I travelled on J. M. Eskelisen Lapin Linjat from Pudasjärvi to Rovaniemi. It was a nice route, and the coach was a big Volvo, but the pricing of Eskelisen makes no sense. On the Oulu-Pudasjärvi-Ranua-Rovaniemi route, it’s cheaper to travel from Oulu to Rovaniemi than from Pudasjärvi to Rovaniemi.
Hi a great informative video. We’re planning a ride from Rovaniemi to Tromso and there are confusing information on the internet. Can you please tell me which bus stop u boarded and did u travel all the way to Tromso directly?
Great video but the reason for the bus ticket to be that high has more to do with the fact that there is very small demand of passengers rather than Lapland being touristy. Of course Levi is a tourist trap and that bus goes through there but there are little to none tourists in the summer tho.
Many of those Koivisto auto Oulu (formerly Koskilinjat) cars are former Koivisto auto Helsinki (formerly Helsingin Bussiliikenne oy) For example, that Scala is another car transferred to the same number from Helsinki. As well as long-distance cars transferred within the group. The Finnish tax bear does that. The bus is registered in Finland, the tax bear prevents refueling abroad.
Nice video! Me made smile a bit when you stated "there's nothing to see" on the route as that one is actually one of the most beautiful bus routes in Finland. Guess you lucky bastards from Norway are just spoiled with your amazing scenery and landscapes. 😂
Not true. The buses are full on hi-season, they’ll start from Rovaniemi with even 3 buses. Prices are quite high, true.. But this trip was made off-season, so it is more empty

This is very true! The “restaurant” is soon finished, and will open in March 😁
Another great travel video! Please make more👍
That’s great to hear! Makes us motivated to do more trips like this 😁

It’s just a flight or two away! March is the best month in my opinion in Tromsø. March or May 😁
So that was how you got from Finland to Norway. I didn't even knew there was a bus service from Finland to Norway. Look expensive. :)
It’s a great ride. But, extremely expensive. The result when the route is unsupported from any government
@@bussmagasinet1 Do you know when this service started? I remember I was traveling up there many times about 2007. I can't remember such a route then.

@@bussmagasinet1 Gottcha. Thanks for your reply.
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. Safe travels.
Glad to hear 😁

So true! This is some of the most horrific price ever on bus journey. It’s not acceptable
I never knew Norway could look this beautiful!! Nice!

Sad to hear that price is also crazy on the other routes they have 💷💷
Otroligt bra uttalning på finska namn du har!
Vad kul 😁😁
@@bussmagasinet1 Kul vid´s lika väl :) Hojta till nästa gång dä är i Helsingfors, bjussar på Lapin Kulta ;)
Very curious how long do they stop in each location? It's a long journey so I supposed there do stop for toilet breaks?
As you saw in the video, there was one longer break for food and toilet
Hi a great informative video.

Also, if baggage costs extra?
Boarded at the bus terminal in Rovaniemi and arrived at the bus terminal in Tromsø about 10 hours later

Very true. They need their money, and there is no substitute on the route. Still sad 😂
Muito Bom !!!!! Very Good !!!!!
Glad to hear 😁
Nissen is just the name of the brand. It isn't related to Santa although I do know what Nissen means in norwegian and swedish.
😁😁
Volvo 8900 is now old, well unlike Denmark they scrap everything.
Sad to hear that everything is scrapped
@@bussmagasinet1 I live in the UK London by the way use to live in Gothenburg Sweden until Summer 2012.

Wow! So expensive! But this generation of Volvo bus model is the precessor of the current generation? What is the model of this bus again?
This is the original Volvo 9700. built in Finland. These are still in production with this look
@@bussmagasinet1 Ah ok! I thought this version of Volvo 9700 is withdrawn. But now, I know it is still in production.
The company Magne works for, just got three brand new Finnish built Volvos. They are so great!
@@bussmagasinet1 Ah ok! Thank you very much! 🙂
Magne: Tettstedet heter ikke Hetta. Det heter Enontekiö. Jeg har vært der mange ganger. Jeg har bilder av Scania Eagle busser 🙂
Å ja! Haha! Har til og med kjørt der med passasjerer og sagt Hetta 😂😂 Jaja!
Eagle er nydelig!

Hahahahahahaha!!
And, I’m totally honest as well when I say this. It’s absolutely nothing to see. 6 billion trees, and boom, you’re in Norway 😂😂
They are never going to get a full load, when they charge an arm and a leg fare.
So true! They need to find a reasonable price for the journey
Not true. The buses are full on hi-season, they’ll start from Rovaniemi with even 3 buses. Prices are quite high, true.. But this trip was made off-season, so it is more empty
For this price bus must be in 3 seat per row configuration with flatbed feature. Just like India has 😂
I KNOW!!! 😁😂😂😂😂
They charge 25€ for 1,30h trip
Crazy!
