Great job looks really good 😊
It is a shame that the Nbrass locomotives gantries are no longer made Nick has took a well earned retirement
Yes I will have to 3d print those for the next project, they wont be as good as etched brass.
Excellent work Ben I might have a go at making these I have Tinkercad and I have got a 3d printer
Fabulous attention to detail, Ben. You seem very focused and patient. Well done!
@@user-jq5tz2cj2d Thanks very much.
Congratulations Ben. Great work on the OHLE, brilliant stuff! Amazing what technology can enable a talented modeller like yourself to do, especially in N gauge!
Thanks Karl
Hi Ben, great work with those gantries, really enjoyed the video and the layout really is coming together now! Super shots of the trains, especially when 3 are passing each other, the GBRf train looks great on the layout they are quality wagons! Cheers Gary
@@SC68 cheers Gary, the OHLE has certainly changed the look of the layout. They tie the room together as per Big Labowskis rug lol.
This is a fantastic layout and there are a few N gauge WCML ones in the family, recreating 1970s onwards ( electrified ones). Great gantry work. Not to be picky, but will it have a fiddle yard to feed various trains through? Might give more scale and space perspective. Keep it up - looks close to finished now.
@@markwilson4052 cheers Mark I will re introduce the fiddle yard when I re arrange the station section and the junction section end to end in the coming months. If you could subscribe that would be great.
@@staffordstationngauge8359 I am a subscriber. Have been for a while. Great to hear.
One word, impressive.
@@paultaylor9652 cheers Paul
It looks amazing and great to be able to run full length trains. I wish I had all this space.
@@robertfrowen468 thanks Robert
looking fantastic, the HST a scale speed look superb. I think replicating a real location is probably the hardest discipline of all.
@@ngaugefouroaksstreetstatio6932 thanks the pendo looks good and Revolution trains themselves have commented, yes replicating a prototype does have its challenges, for me its the large space in n gauge which I like to get the sense of space between structures.
I find it fascinating when one part of a layout ties all the other parts together Ben. It’s nice to see some of our models running around too - the Pendo in particular that looks right at home. Keep up the great work 👍
@@mikebuick2332 thanks Mike, the Pendo has behaved very well, I tend to put it away after each session to protect it, its a great model.
Hi Ben - excellent work on the gantries - especially the bespoke ones carrying the counterweights. Good to see the trains out for a spin 😊 cheers Euan
@@thegrowler-blackwoodngauge cheers Euan, thought you would like the running session bit, it is starting to look completed, cant wait to join the south junction with the station section end to end, should make a good visual effect.
This build is a master class. This layout is a masterpiece.
@@stuartallen8684 thanks very much!
excellent ohle nice work
@@timstrainvideos142 cheers Tim, fiddly but worth it.
Looks fantastic Ben, really coming together.
@@geoffwest64 thanks Geoff as usual
fantastic work - what a great build .......
@@AndyStephney cheers Andy, fiddly but fun.
Very detailed work Ben, nice update - Thank You. Chris
@@Amberlea-Model-Railway thanks Chris.
Hiya Ben , Hope your well ? Impressive work sir . It is just amazing what actually can be achieved in N gauge . Especially love the heavily Engineered prototype of the Gantries on The WCML these give the line it distinct feel of the line .
Thanks Andrew I was going to say that myself, this particular OHLE design defo gives the WCML its flavour.
Great job on the building!
Just love it when you put another building together, you make it look so easy Ben and the building looks awesome. The best thing is that its N gauge, so it gives me a lot of inspiration.
Cheers Chris.
Wow amazing layout really liked your building
Thanks glad you liked it.
I really enjoyed watching you model that warehouse Ben in real detail and done to perfection. You are creating a wonderful layout and looking forward to the next release. Brilliant😀👍
Cheers
Hi Ben - yet more fantastic scratch building - looks fantastic. Great seeing all those trains running on the layout. Must be a bit disappointing re the sleepers 😢. Cheers Euan
Thanks Euan as usual, yeh the 92 is just not upto it, its pretty out of date compared to the 59, the 59 could probably pull 12. Its good the stock is getting better.
That view of the station at 12.56 just captures perfectly the atmosphere and visual presence of Stafford station that you get when walking over Newport Road bridge. You really have done a sterling job 👍🏻 A real credit to your modelling skills and quest for authenticity
Thanks, yeh getting a feeling of a place is important to me as well when modelling it, I stuggled a bit with getting the current build to fit in with the vibe I got from the prototype actually, its a bit like a painting sometimes.
Ben, as always, fabulous modelling. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers Anthony
Great modelling and a fantastic looking layout, I wish the trains were that frequent when I was a teenage spotter at Stafford in the early 80’s. I think the brickwork must have been cleaned up when they modernised the warehouse, I seem to remember it being quite a dull brown colour back in the day.
Cheers, yes they seem to have refaced it in areas especially the front.
Fantastic modelling skills. 👍 I'm assuming the coaches are too draggy?
Thanks. The coaches are not too bad, just a shame the 92 cant pull them.
Arrived via the James at Model Railway Replacement Podcast!
Hi Ben Great update, and fabulous look layout. Thanks
Cheers Peter.
Absolutely brilliant!
Thanks Anthony
Looks so realistic
Ta.
Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.
Thanks Mike
Looks fantastic Ben. 👍
Cheers Geoff as always
Superb bit of scratch building Ben. Great to see the trains running into the bargain 😊. Cheers Euan
Cheers Euan, looking forward to your next update mate.
Currently building scalescenes retaining walls - taking ages - hence the delay in doing the next update. 😮
One word, impressive.
Thanks Paul
Great build Ben, the extra 5cm has made a great difference to the proportions of the layout. As a Tesco HGV driver I think there are around 20 dotcom vans based at Stafford. Also Tesco curtan sided trailers are blue , There are often builders skips left around the water tank and also old shelving waiting to go into the skips, the bent wall from the carpark area hides the dotcom loading area. On the container side more weathering on the rest of the containers needed suggest a bit of mat varish on the tank container's to dull the stainless steel down.
Interesting info, may gets some skips for the tesco yard then, I painted my hgv white based off a google street view image. Noted re container weathering, cheers.
Nice to see the update and the progress you are making. The layout does you great credit. Tim.
Thanks Tim.
Fantastic Ben. It looks amazing. The 5cm has made such a difference. Looking forward to seeing the next uodate. Well done. Great vid. Simon. 😀
Cheers Simon, yes I am glad I made the extra effort with the 5 cm, the large space between buidings looks good in n gauge.
If I could model half as good in 'OO' as you do in 'N' I'd be well happy! Amazing work! 👏
Cheers Dave.
Where did you get 390 156 I can’t find it anywhere
I got it a while ago, They have sold out it seems, Rainbow trans has the 9 car version still for sale i think thanks.
Yes But It’s the 11 car set I’m after for my layout
@@MHTrains with Revolution trains you have to pre order, the 390s sell out quick.
Nice 😍 where did you get the concrete switches? I’ve been looking and peco doesn’t seem to sell any ? 😢
They are wooden sleeper points I airbrushed a concrete colour thanks
Great work and great planning too Ben! Your drawing is really impressive! I tend to wing it and it shows 🤣
looking fab that !
I do appreciate a good running session before a "how-to" video. Nice layout :) I would suggest really slow down the camera pan speed - about 1/2 of your current speed is good - otherwise it's too hard on the eyes!
Cheers Jonathan, not sure I can do that as I use an iphone to film. Will probably pan less quickly when I am talking over the layout as it blurs the vid.
Only just found this channel. Watched this video and your Tesco build. I’m absolutely staggered! Don’t think I’ve ever seen such attention to detail and consummate modelling skills. ‘Impressive’ doesn’t even begin to describe it. Subbed…obviously!
Cheers Stuart, just doing the next stage of the Tescos at present.
The first few minutes where its just trains running is so relaxing to me. The sound, the speed of the trains, the number of trains, and the opposing directions just does it for me. I know the sound is recorded and distorted I wish I could hear it in person. I love that these trains are operating at what look like proper speeds.
Cheers yes I try to run the trains at realistic speeds, though they may be too fast.
Wow! Some great modelling there Ben, your attention to detail is marvelous and in N Scale too making it even more impressive! Chris
Cheers Chris, I am really enjoying the 3d printing side at the moment.
