Hi Ben - For someone who is not that keen on modern model railways I just cannot get enough of yours. Love your running sessions and your model making skills are truly amazing to watch. The house work around Cheadles was so enjoyable to watch and looks just like the real location. Looking forward to whatever you do next. Regards Chris
If you’re a fan of the TV show Top Gear (when it was Jezza Clarkson et a.), they once filmed a scene where they drove through Stafford to reach the M6, and was in traffic on that Wolverhampton Road bridge outside the glass frontage building (when it used to be the motorcycle store - not sure what it is now). You could always create a cameo scene! Brilliant video as always 👍🏻🚂
Again thx for this scratch build update excelent work 😲 You give me alot of inspiration, I'm struggling between N or H0 scale because of the scenery detailing with your update you made my struggle alot easier. It is possible to detail with N scale thanks 👍 I will keep following your channel can't wait to see more.
Great job on the building's. My wife worked at Stafford and drove past the telegraph everyday. S bends are never good with model trains had to remove a few myself cheers Andy
Hi Ben - excellent bit of building work. You've really captured the real buildings in minature. Great just watching the trains running 😊. My Pendolino had some derailing issues - resolved by swapping all the wheels to Farish wheel sets. Cheers Euan
No Ben - it was the back to backs. The Farish wheel sets have narrower back to backs than the ones from Revolution. I spoke to guy at Rapido who agreed their wheelsets were a little wider.
Great video Ben. Your scratch building of the accountants is amazing. Very complicated structure. Can I ask how you scale the buildings down from google maps?
Cheers Geoff, a good way to start is to draw a 12 mm man on your plan (6ft in scale) then you can approximate your door heights approx (14 mm ) you can then gauge the window and floor heights in relation to these and get the overall building height and length. Also proportioning the window sizes with each other by eye. Hope that helps.
@@staffordstationngauge8359 That's great. Although I don't live in Stafford anymore I drive there cos of my dad. It's nice seeing you recreate it on a Model railway.

Hi Ben, thanks for the great video. I am blown away by the scratch builds. The solicitors building is just amazing! Congratulations!
Thanks Karl
Wow, that's just fantastic modelling Ben, and in such a small scale! Always look forward to your updates! Keep up the good work!
Thanks mate
Nice update, love the modelling of real buildings..... Chris

Thanks a nice bit of info, interesting to recreate the trio in n gauge arguing on the corner maybe with 3 clapped out sports car challenge builds 😂
The buildings look great and a real bonus that they actually exist.
Thanks very much, yes I do enjoy modelling the real thing.

Thanks, glad to give some inspiration, its hard to model in n gauge but worth it for large layouts.

Thanks. Agree re S bends, specially with N gauge rolling stock which derails very easily.
Excellent skills in your scratch building efforts, looks superb.
Thanks very much

Cheers Euan, the pendolino, was it because the wheels were too small? There is not much ride height in them.

@@thegrowler-blackwoodngauge ok might have a go at replacing mine sometime.

@@staffordstationngauge8359 Thanks Ben, Yes very useful, although I’m a long way off attempting any buildings. Got to get track work down first.
That's great modelling. Are you going to try and fit the Chinese Takeaway on Telegraph street? I remember going there when I live in Stafford.
Oh yes thats going in
