Hey Mike, the truck and the layout are both looking great. I like the color you painted the wheels. As for the steering wheel being so hard to get off, I have never seen one that had to be cut off. I can't wait to see what you do next. As for the layout, I really like how the town is coming together. You are a very talented modeler. Your advice on everything is spot on. Thanks for sharing.

The truck is looking good. Your layout is looking good. You are right about looking at scene many times and then adding a little to it at a time to your liking.

Great episode, #91! Isn't it amazing how touching one thing while working on vehicles leads to having to replace two other parts! If your lucky! Especially when refurbing older cars and trucks! The new parts like Tires, Freshly painted wheels and sparkling hub caps really brings joy to me soul! I'll wager you may have invented between one and three brand new cuss words while exorcising that old steering wheel from its permanent location au steering shaft! ;-) It's fun teaching kids how to fix their own cars! Very rewarding!
Can't never get bored of searching your scenery for new bits and improvements, especially in yer town!! The town certainly is looking lived in! Dang it, I can't remember if you've divulged the name of the town or not. Also lovin' how you weathered the foot bridge! Thanks Mike!
PS: It's extra nice that you and Robin have the best house in town! Very appropriate!

Mike - for the gap in the road, how about making it a construction scene where the road had to be cut to install some underground utility or some such? The gap can be a temporary completion to the road until they get it newly paved. Just a thought ...

Dear Mike, great vid, sorry to see the steering wheel pull off was such an ordeal. Nevertheless, when you switch out the shaft for the 4 speed version, the purpose of the ordeal is clear to this humble viewer. Such plastic to steel ‘welds’ (I call ‘m that) can be a true pain in the you know where. Either such a connection gives up over time, or it won’t give up, like in your case. Must be some kind of ABS, for the stinky part.
Beautiful mirrors and mounts, awesome! Plus those wheels. Love the fact that you keep the patina on the body of the truck.
Very cool shots from the railroad. Think those road transitions are gonna look great. Especially on the edges between road and parking pavement/commercial driveways. Curious for the paint job on the roads. City is looking good! Might be fun to show the perspective view from just over the fascia, think that element of undulation in the front really adds to the scene! Cheerio

Two things mike, IMHO, the road overpass, crossing the double track to the right of the town, appears to be 'swayback' instead of flat or slightly humpback. Second is - are you still planning on adding a center support for the walking bridge over the yard? Looking better with each visit 🙂

You mostly answered a question that's been bugging me, what to do between yard tracks with arrow gaps between the edges. They yard is only about 2 to 3 feet long, and will be mostly hidden under a mountain, but I was wondering if I should just fill the space with ballast, or use some filler material. I have some strips of Woodland Scenics black foam, I think I will use to economise on ballast filler. Or maybe I'll use plaster. I'll be watching to see what you do under the walkway.

Hey Mike...the truck is looking great! The pedestrian bridge also looks great. What about a support in the center of it? It looks like a long span without support. For the area as you come into town, you can put one of the "Welcome To" town sign/billboard???? Just my thoughts. Take Care! Marc
