  • Finally got the layout together again after a large house move. In addition I have wired up the stafford south boards point motors to run some prototypical routing to the two main WCML branches that split from Stafford. Thanks for watching.

    That really is impressive Ben. To move that layout with so little damage is remarkable. The new space really does give you opportunities and room to work. Look forward to seeing its progress. Stephen

    Hi 👋🏻 Ben. WOW 🤩 great progress on moving Stafford station and getting up and running so soon 😊 I take it you’re near the sea side now and not a refuge tip hearing those seagulls lol 😆 We moved in December 2021 and my layout is still boxed up 🙁 I was at Stafford station on Monday morning watching the trains 👍🏻

      Thanks, yes you guessed right the coast and the seagulls certainly make a racket. Staffords great for trainspotting.

    Hi Ben - having to dismantle and relocate a layout the size of Stafford is no mean feat. The fact you were able to do it with practically no damage is a testament to how well it was built in the first place. Can clearly see you have far more space in the new garage. Plus your thoughts are turning to a helix........ I've seen some other guy's layout where he has two helixes to access a lower fiddle/storage yards. For the life of me I can't remember his name 😅. Very enjoyable update and look forward to seeing the layout get even bigger over the coming months and years. Cheers Euan

      Thanks Euan, yes it was a big job, took me a week in evenings to get it set up, there was a few broken bits. Was thinking I should have mentioned you when discussing the helixes will have to rewatch your helix video!

    Wow, amazing work. I don’t think Ive ever seen a video where someone says they are moving house and seen the layout setup, in the new place, in the same video.

    Hi Ben, glad to hear the house move went well with minimal transit damage. I'll have to come up again once you're all up and running and bring my new Pendolinos, and hopefully the new MK5 Caledonian sleeper train too as they're due imminently, that'd be a treat to see run around your layout!

      Your welcome to come up again, great to run your stock and the Mk5 Caledonians will look good behind your 92. Apparently according to Revolutions website the Avanti 11 car pendos are due at the end of August.

    Hi Ben - what a cracking room for your layout.
    I dont know how you managed to contain yourself, had it been me I would have knocked both rooms into one and have an enormous layout.
    I would have a work area inside the layout up one end, if you get my drift.
    Regards Chris

      Yes knocking through is on the cards eventually as the total layout is meant to be end to end, my partner just needs the storage in the other half at the moment!

    I enjoy the scope and scale of this layout! What points are you using that have the concrete sleeper base?

    • @staffordstationngauge8359
      @staffordstationngauge8359  11 месяцев назад

      Cheers the points are peco long finescale points, I have spray painted the concrete colour myself.
