Omg I just got denied too, it's my first denial ever! Applied for business ink cash and was told too many opened accounts and too many inquires. The inquiry part sucks because I only appied for 2 credit cards within the last year which was CSR and Venture X. The other inquiries was from buying a new car. Should I call the recon line again?

I heard that you get a virtual card before the physical card delivers, can I use the virtual card for purchases before the physical one gets delivered?

I had gotten the AA card 2+ years ago and closed it about a year ago, applied yesterday instant approval. Applied for Hawaiian card and I got the same screen as you. I was approved after calling the reconsideration line within 5 minutes, the rep offered to reallocate some of the credit. :)

On Thanksgiving 2024, I reacquired and got approved via preapproval for the no annual fee Savor. I will focus in 6 months to get one of the Venture cards like the VentureOne. I only don't want a no annual fee option since I will be out of work Jan 12 when my Winn Dixie gets turned into an Aldi and I lose my job due to the merger. And in August 15, 2024 I downgraded by Gold back to Green and on March 14, 2026, I will cancel it or renew it. Either way, my points will be safe because of the Blue Business Plus. I was tired of the coupon book fatigue with Gold even after 1 year under the old $250 fee. With the new $325 fee, I would get $324 in value with Dunkin, GrubHub and Uber Eats and the rest off of grocery and dining spend. Its a bit much. And now the coupon book on Gold is far, much worse. I need a break from it and will consider it if I get a good upgrade or if I cancel and get a good signup bonus like the 90,000 MR offer if they target me in the future.

I apply for but they told me there's not enough history I'm an authorized user on somebody's account for a year and a half and they told me insufficient credit

Gas is a large expense in my business at $1000/month per truck just the 4x multiplier is crazy good for my businesses

Congrats on the massive haul of Hawaiian / Alaska miles! This and the Aviator card always astound me with how easy it is to get the sign up bonuses ... need to strike before these cards go away.

What were your credit scores and which bureaus did the pull from?

Your card will allow you to book discounted award tickets in coach. Similar to 15Off with Delta. The cost is reflected in the booking process once your Hawaiian cc is approved.

We fly to Hawaii or Alaska every month, so we are stoked about the merger. As an Alaskan 100K, I look forward to finally having lie flat seats in Business/Firsts for some flights.

Bestwestern absolutely beats Choice. Choice has had some of the worst breakfast options I've had. It's a hit or misst where the hit is average and miss is terrible. Hope you review the Bestwestern credit card soon.

Hi Jacob this is going to be a noobie question. If I get the Hawaiian credit card and the Barclay AA credit card, when the bonuses hit your account, should one transfer does points out somewhere else or are they safe sitting in those accounts? I wonder if down the road there would ever be an issue transferring Hawaiian to Alaska or an issue with AA card by Barclays going away. Thanks a lot

Great video Jacob! I'm thinking about getting the Choice Hotels card someday. I'm becoming more and more (in the words of Uncle Luke) feeling "Just give me the points!" FNC's are probably way better for you since you travel FT. :) But for me, a regular everyday schlub and Infrequent Miler, I don't like trying to shoehorn them in.

Would like to hear more re: Your thoughts on CLEAR! (I have no strong opinion either way, just curious why you said you didn't care for it)

A travel card you didn't mention I am looking into with a low annual fee via product change is the Bank of America Premium Rewards card which has a $95 annual fee. I've been checking with them for months about a product change offer to that card because I've had the Bank Americard for about 7 1/2 years & never use because it's a card made for balance transfers because of no rewards on the card. I've been with Bank of America for 18 years & have 2 personal & a business credit card with them. The reason why I want the Premium Rewards is due to the airline accidental because my Gold cards with Amex no longer have that benefit.

Very confused! Is this a anti-Marriot or anti rules for Chase and or Amex video? In my opinion you are mixing apples and oranges. Not trying to be disrespectful but much of what you shared while partially accurate is also misleading. Some of this is your inexperience with the Marriot, but then why share it at all, except that you are frustrated, Many other folks doing videos on the different chains go through this in detail.....I will share some of what I see has partially or wholly inaccurate. First, Marriot cards do give multipliers that great enhance your points. Yes, it takes a commitment to Marriot, but all of these hotel travel cards are doing the same. They each come at it in a different way and I personally prefer to take a holistic approach ie working with hotel chains that meet my specific needs on the region of the world I am traveling to, the number of hotels of ones hotel chains there etc. To simply disregard the number of Marriott hotels and their availability (depending on need at the moment) is a bit of a shallow analysis in my opinion. I like IHG and Marriott and use them both. Unfortunately Hilton (unless it Europe) and Hyatt just do nto meet my needs when traveling in Asia and around much of the world. Some find the opposite, but it depends on the amount of luxury one wants or needs. Next, you greatly underestimate Marriott points as shared above. I currently have the Marriott Ritz and the Boundless cards.....because of multipliers which you fail to mention, I receive 23+ points the Ritz per and 18+ on the Boundless. Yes, I am at Titanium status which allows me a 75% bonus. In addition I receive 15 elite nights that help me get stars in addition. I do not have the Marriott Brilliant yet, but probably will get this card next year. Why? because it gives you 25 Elite nights and because it is not a Chase card one can combine the Chase and Amex Elite nights to gt to 40 Elite nights which is only 35 nights way form Titanium. This means that all combined I could have two 85,000 point nights and two 35,000 point nights for spending $1100. How do I get the second 35,000 night? If one gets to 75 elite nights Marriot gives you a gift an additional "free" night which is really not mentioned in any video. Additionally Marriott allows me to top up my 4 nights with an additional $15,000 point of my points to qualify for a nicer hotel (comes in handy) Combining the 4 free nights, two 300 credits, strong travel insurance offerings, free meals and upgrades and the largest network in the world gives me more choices and opportunities to meet my needs than any other chain. I believe the standard we ll use in judging any program is "does a card or group of cards provide value for the cost". In my case it obviously does. My total send at for the three cards is $1200 for the three Marriott cards, but the value I get is easily $2400 not even counting meals etc. I do appreciate you frustration and mean no disrespect, but since your video lacked a lot of important details, it just is misleading in my opinion.

The freedoms have been having better offers "in branch". Then the pubic website offers. In October we got the x5 12K grocerys &gas + $200 for $500 3 months for our third year when the oublic offers had just $200

With southwest, can u earn bonus on more than one card? Ex: get 1 now and get a diff one when companion pass sub returns.

I absolutely love this card, when booking with the IHG reward points it costs much less than paying with cash, even though points are worth less if comparing against Bonvoy, Hilton, or Hyatt based on face value. Plus you get 40000 free points every year, which offsets the annual fee.

I’m trying so hard to hold out for VentureX. My credit score is 805+, but got denied for too many new accounts on my credit. I just tried the pre approval again and did not get it. Grrrr.

I applied for the Aviator Red card on 10/28 and got the 70K miles bonus added to my AA account on 11/17. It’s weird you’re still waiting on yours to post. Hopefully it gets added soon!
