Yeah the circle design was great. I might want to get the new design to see what it looks like in person so maybe I'll call Capital One to ask if they'll let me get it
Thanks for subscribing! I really appreciate it. Yes, I believe you would be able to apply, but it would almost certainly be restricted to the 48 month rule where Capital One states, "Existing or previous cardmembers are not eligible for this product if they have received a new cardmember bonus for this product in the past 48 months." So if you've received a welcome bonus on a SavorOne card in the last 4 years, I would assume you could not get another bonus. It would be interesting to know if you also talked about the bonus on your phone call
6:21 If I leave a balance on this card and decide to slowly pay it back (before those 15 months are up), does it affect my credit score in any way? Also, can someone explain how to get the actual cashback money when you redeem the amount? I would like to use that in another account. Thanks 😊
It would negatively affect your credit score because you will have a higher utilization ratio than normal. So if you have a small balance and/or high credit limit, it might not be too bad for your credit score. The two options for getting cash back for the Savor card is with a statement credit on the card or to mail a check to your address
This was one of our first cards and we have a credit limit of $10,000. Many people report low credit limits with Capital One cards, but I'm glad I didn't have to worry about that
Something that wasn’t brought up that I thought was important is the Uber/UberEats 10% cash back plus free subscription ending. Should be here in the next month no?
I assumed Capital One and Uber would not be extending this benefit beyond the next couple weeks, so I didn't want to mention it if the information would quickly become irrelevant. I'll be following the news to see if there's any updates on this, but I predict we won't have Uber benefits beyond November 14th
Mines don’t expire until 2027 so I’ll definitely keep this card I got until then you can shop at the Walmart neighborhood market with 3% back just not super center
Great video, thanks for posting. Your video was very detailed and to the point. Would you happen to know what Capital One is planning to do with the old school Savor Rewards card? I have this card which pays out 4x on dining and streaming. I got this card very early on where I don't need to pay the $95 annual fee which normally applied to this card.
You're welcome! The old school Savor Rewards card seems to be in a strange place right now. I believe they would keep the card exactly as it is for now but they might eventually move everyone towards the no annual fee option. It's so hard to tell what Capital One will do since they took all of the old school Savor information off the internet. I'd say keep using your card as normal until we hear something about it changing
Yeah I tried the pre-approval tool a month or so ago and only got cards without welcome bonuses. It's interesting to see who Capital One actually likes
I've never not received the sign on bonus. C1 also have cards for low credit, those don't have the sign on bonuses but same rewards. Make sure you're applying the card that requires "excellent credit".
@@TheQuickyouknow Yes, great tip! This also happens when you apply for a card with the welcome offer, but then after submitting the application, Capital One says they can't approve you for the card you applied for but can approve you for the same card, just the one for "good credit" and without the bonus
my wife is currently an authorized user on my older version of the Savor One, is she eligible to get the card in her own name with the elevated sign up bonus?
I don't care about the design at all. It earns the same. I might get this card to get into the Cap1 ecosystem and wait one year to product change to the Venture (not X) card. Is this possible? I am currently not pre-approved for bot Venture and VX cards.
You can product change as long as Capital One will let you. Apparently they are strict about only letting you product change if the option is available on your account. Some people can easily switch cards while others are basically impossible. Seems very random from my research
I guess I'm not understanding what's "better" about the card if you already have it? It sounds like it's the same card with the same benefits, just a different look to the physical card.
We knew the Uber benefits were expiring so I wouldn't necessarily call that a nerf, but I'm definitely sad that it looks like they won't extend their partnership with Uber. I'm considering the limited time welcome bonus as an improvement because it was already fantastic and now it's even better. This shows that Capital One is willing to give out more in order to attract customers
It'll be interesting to see if Capital One wants to make this card. What do you think the Savor X would look like? And what kind of spending categories and perks would make you excited about applying for it?
I believe it would also be called the Savor card haha. It's hard to know exactly what Capital One is doing with that card because they removed all the information from the internet
I keep waiting to find someone who likes the new design like I do 😂😂 I always hated that old design, but I know I’m one of the few who is happy for this new design. Anyway, great rundown of the card. I love it!
@@MidlifeMoneyMoves Haha I've been seeing your comments on other videos about how you like the design, but I can't agree with you lol. Thanks for watching!
The Uber One benefit is expiring November 14th so I decided not to include that in this video. There's always a chance Capital One and Uber extend their partnership, but it seems unlikely
The good: elevated welcome offer by $50 The bad: no more Uber (Eats) 10% back (this is a huge loss). And the card now looks more similar to that orange Oompa Loompa running for president.

I’m so glad I applied and got approved right before they changed the card. Mine will have the circles.
Haha gotta have those circles
Same... They gave a 50 dollar bonus. Oh well...
Love the old circles design. Im glad I have a few more years before it expires for me!
Yeah the circle design was great. I might want to get the new design to see what it looks like in person so maybe I'll call Capital One to ask if they'll let me get it
Oh and also $250 bonus for $500 spend sub is sweet!
It's a crazy high bonus for the spend!
Savor X is next. They know what they're doing with the VX synergy.
It would be interesting to see what a Savor X would look like
love the background greenery, look up white birds of paradise. Great indoor plant, trendy for backdrops and low maintenance
Thank you! My wife had fun creating the background for these videos, so I'll have to tell her about the white birds of paradise
This was a great breakdown and explanation about the change. Thank you so much Jacob!
Thanks! I'm happy to make the video
Thanks for the info + video!
You're welcome! I'm happy it was helpful
I have really enjoyed the use and utility of this card 👍🏼
Me too! A great card for no annual fee
The old card design makes me think of a spun copper pot or skillet.
It initiates the process of cooking.
Haha I like that. It's an interesting design choice, but the earnings categories are much more important
Good quality youtuber bro
Thank you!
Im just glad they dropped the one out of the name
Yeah that part did seem a little strange
My wife was approved last night for the Savor. She was rejected one month ago for the Savor One. Go figure. She also has the VX.
Interesting data point. Thanks for sharing! It seems that it's easier to be approved for cards during limited time offers
You can still apply for this even though you have a savor one. I called to find out. Great job on RUclips. I just subscribed ❤

The old shiny cards were nice but yeah I guess its fine. As long as the benefits are good. Im waiting for them to raise my damn credit limit.
It all about the spending categories and benefits! I hope your credit limit increases soon or maybe you can call in and ask for them to increase it
Good stuff Jacob
Thanks Sledge!

I actually like the card design 😅
I like now more than I did when the design first came out
Just got approved for a $7 k credit line Savor card, seemed a bit low , just curious what the max credit line is for this card.
My FICO is 798
@@sergiojasso9998you clearly aren't familiar with Capital One lol. Lucky you didn't get $500
$15000
I got 2.5K so that’s great since Capital One is notorious for giving out SL’s
