I used to pretend to be an amateur videographer when I went to sporting events, of which you'll find some of those in-venue vids here. Sadly, an unfortunate turn of life happened, and now I'm too far away from the games I would like to be attending (too busy too). So, I make the odd sport related video and write stuff about the games I wish I could be at. Been doing that vicarious-living through streaming sports services, YT and blog for the last almost-three years. European club futbol, baseball and Mustangs Football is what gets considered and scribbled about these days. Appreciate the carefree moments in life, folks. You never know when it can be taken away from ya.
Duke's new futbol boots
With a generous helping hand from La Daisy and her vast catalogue of soccer vids, welcome to the director's cut of "Duke's New Futbol Boots", a video montage from the morning where I got the (no) tricks n' (poor) flicks routine started for the summer.

1 for 3, with two ribbies and two strikeouts is the essence of what Teo can bring to a line-up. I'd argue that it "ain't bad" in terms of baseball life. A .802 lifetime OPS is nothing to sneeze at. Now, there will be "issues" with the fella's baserunning and otherwise "attention to detail" that old baseball men love to harp on about. On a team built to win ASAP, should those kinds of gaffs happ...

Sunday Funday! A special thank you to La Daisy and the musical stylings of Marco Conidi. From Stadio Olimpico to our humble wee shack in the wilderness, the Italian game and those Roma feels are gettin' me n' puss through the winter.
The quintessential Mets Metsing moment of 2023

Poor ole Buck. Don't know how he lasted as long as he did. When John Sterling muses, "Aaaaand people say you can predict baseball," the 2023 Mets campaign embodied it perfectly. #Mets #NewYork #Buck

If there's one thing that Ms. Daisy loves, other than soft catfood and biting Dad when she's in the mood, it is Calcio. The wee furbag loves sitting on my lap, facing the laptop, following the respective Kevin Lasagnas as they make their about a Serie A pitch near you...or not-near you as it may be. If there was ever any doubt about this little black n' white's affection for all things Italian ...

Cubs' Nick Madrigal NOT having to spend a day at the dentist is totally a win
Просмотров 467Год назад
So, yeah, that look on the face of the Cubs' third baseman spelled out relief better than anything Rolaids ever rolled out of the Rolaids factory. With that screamer missing the chicklets, I think dude was relatively happy with the outcome. I mean, really, one more fella on-base for his starter to deal with is hardly in the same category as an all-day, expenses-paid, date with a dentist. A coup...

Crushin' fruit like Vladdy and Alek Manoah smother a pizza pie. Trollin' the Blow Jays aside, was that not a manly way to eat the most sexually suggestive of all fruits? A complete game two-hitter shutout, with 10 Ks and only one walk, is a heck of a statement. Poor ole Twinkies get rolled again. #yankees #gerritcole #snacks

This! A thousand times this! This is the in-the-moment take that makes Buck one of the best in the entire world of colour dudes. Take the play-by-play off his hands, just let him read and react to the action on the diamond, and the viewer at home is gifted with the perspectives and insight of a man that has fully and completely lived the baseball life. When Buck isn't trapped into trying to "se...

Austin Hays takes me back to the days of my glove, arcing tennis balls, and the roof of Dad's shed

Oh, man. Talk about hitting the rewind button on the ole brain DVR. Wait. I am fiddy afterall. Better make that the rewind button on my noodle's VCR; VHS ftw, baby. I was watching yesterday's Sox-O's tilt and that Austin Hays diving catch in Fenway's shallow right hit me right in the mems. Let me tell you a tale about first baseball gloves, tennis balls, and the rebound capability of Dad's tool...

Jose Ramirez throws bat at pitch | The Force is strong with this one
Man...I really miss those cat and mouse play during an inning,it changed a lot comparing to the "modern'baseball, you're a bsolutely spot on...I miss the joy in the game, not enough now,a little unfortunate
Buck is annoying.Talks like the Penguin from the Batman cartoon.😏
Man, today everyone's panties would get in a wad.
Winfield was a great pitcher for Mn so he’s got an arm! Tremendous athlete.
Trivia question. Who played cf and lf that game
May have been Claudel Washington.
Wasn't a yankee fan but used to watch their games because of my brother.....man I used to love watching Barfield throw people. Him and strawberry in that era
Baseball is still racist. Lou not being the HALL is proof of it. Wake up baseball fans, write the Hall and demand his admission. One stamp and 15 minutes of your time. 😢
Tyler Wade aka “Fastasfuckboy”
“Well, that’s baseball, Suzyn.”

Jesse Barfbag
Starting this game at 8:00 Eastern, 5:00 Pacific, makes this a hard play to watch because of the L.A. sunlight.
The wild 90s where they let a player wear 09 as a jersey number.
I like how you can hear all the background noises. Brings you into it more.
I was there for one of those grand slams against Toronto. Batter before Eddie was walked to load the bases (to set up a double play) , but he made them pay big time. Simple matter of professional pride…
It's amazing how those moments stick in our heads, isn't it? I remember Jesse Barfield's 15 homer of 1986, against the Red Sox, in Toronto, a high majestic drive that scraped the top of the right-centerfield fence. Ah, memories. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Best!
Those Marlins jerseys were gorgeous. I prefer the old Reds jersey without the black also. Great post.
Teal was the in-vogue colour for new sporting franchises back then, and Wal-mart was stock full of teal-coloured tees and sweats as well. You know, I have actually warmed to the Reds unis we see in this vid. I didn't always feel that way. When they switched to the tops with the odd arms and the pinstrips, I lamented not seeing the uniforms worn by the Big Red Machine, because if you want to remember greatness when tuning into a game, unis that Joe Morgan, Johnny Bench and Pete Rose styled is a must. But there is history associated to the unis Deion and Reggie Sanders wore in the mid and latter 90s. Frank Robinson wore a uni that was similar in the 60s, before he moved on to Baltimore. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Manfred ruined baseball
I remember this game. I always liked games liked this.
The title of the video was Deion playing cat and mouse... well, Benito was the big dog after all was said and done - he was having none of it!
Sunday, October 14, the second of back-to-back afternoon World Series games, which is unheard of today.
Big, long time Orioles fan here, but never a fan of Palmer.
ugly uniforms
Anyone remember when Benny was with the Padres and he had a promo before a Braves game of him saying “Thou…Shalt… Not Steal…¿Comprende?” While showing highlights of him?
I met him at my baseball ceremonie he was very nice he donated 1m dollars to our baseball team
I miss Tiger Stadium. I miss watching Lou play. #whitakershouldjointrammell (in the hall of fame)
OMG.....I really miss those days... If people could get out of their feelings, I'd love to see the Braves bring back Chief Noc a Homa...and his family as well...Noc a Singa, Noc a Dubba and Noc a Trippa...
the people forgot how good was benito behind the plate
Santiago was a beast of a catcher. As a pitcher I loved this! Always good to have a great catcher behind the plate. Makes the job so much easier.
This proves to me that Rickey Henderson is the greatest ever
Al Michaels is a legend and has been for 50 years.
One bite deep. 😅
Coach Prime always said that he wish he focused in more on baseball then football and he felt like he would have been a World Series champion it made more money if he did so I also want to see him in the professional fishing League he's a great fisherman as well.
After all that, Deion got a bad jump off of first. Probably because of all the throw-overs. Well done Marlins.
Oh that was not even close to the worst moment. they actually executed that run down well until mcneil jumped over the runner for some reason.
They got the out, that's all that matters.
They didn’t. It got overturned.
😭 They do be Metsing
Loved Benito Santiago when he played the Puerto Rican bad guy in The Movie Ghost.
Hayes with a BIG lead now!
Santiago is fucking awesome.
They sure don't play baseball like they used to. This is great.
This brought back a lot of memories going to the Braves games as a kid. I feel lucky to have grown up in this Era! And damn we had the best music! 70s-80s ❤❤
RIP CHIEF!
R.I.P. Chief. 😔🕊️
I am so glad for the pitch clock.
Ah yes, the good old days.
This clip was just like Will Ferrell's impersonation.
Benito Santiago is my favorite player...⚾️⚾️⚾️
This guy deon is a clown 🤡 cant stand him, such a narcissistic jagal.
Deion had ZERO chance against Benny lol. U couldn't make a better throw
This video is a perfect example of why baseball sucks so bad today. These great parts of the game could never be repeated in today's game. The modern rules would make it impossible.
They really were determined to keep Sanders at first base.
