Sharing my videos about Paragliding, Strong Wind Soaring, Acro flying and more. My goal is to not only show the best moments but also footage about learnings and mistakes during my progression. When I started Acro I mostly found Videos on perfect executed tricks from pilots who know how to do them very well already. To give a better understanding about the complexity of the learning process I love to share my fails :)
Joker Training | 2 Days and many Fails | Acro Paragliding
Joker Training - My first attempts at mastering the Joker maneuver in #acroparagliding at Lake Garda. Over two days, I trained hard, practicing the Joker along with some Cork and Cowboy attempts. This maneuver was tougher than I imagined, especially the Heli transitions, which led to several wingtip collapses. Timing the booster was key, but I either had wrong timing or tumbled too aggressively.

Trying my first rythmic sat`s. Bad timing, wrong weightshift and not decreasing the amount of brake input enough each turn going higher i think ... Now it`s time to train over water. Airg Emilie 22 | 95kg tow #Learningacro #Airg #Paragliding #Acro

wow wow wow... I'll leave that to you if you don't mind ;)
nice :)
😎 Nice to observe and also to learn from the failures. Thanks for sharing bro!
Thanks 🙌
!👍💗💗💗
Thanks for the inspiring video! Hope to do only 20% of what you are doing anytime soon :)
Thanks Mate! 🙌
The 20% of fails should be doable to achieve any time soon 🤡
Do you sell your emilie 22? 😆
Unfortunately it is already gone, I switched to a 20er Emilie Pink Power
I was there June 19th and 20th watching you crazy guys. Had a great flight with Tzak and now signed up over her in the UK to learn to fly. Hope to be back next year and fly myself down. Amazing Sport.
crazyy
Sau geil!
turbosoaring at its best!
Genial...👍
Hallo Richard!! Ich verfolge Deine videos schon seit 2 Jahren !! Super Progression. Würdest Du dein Take-off Gewicht teilen ? Danke
Nice one buddy, great video. I'm learning that too.
Thanks mate 🙌
Super cool. Do you have to strain to keep blood in your head pulling those Gs? I’d fear passing out.
Actually it's only for a few milliseconds where you have a high G load, I was a bit surprised that it's much less than expected. Deepspiral or SAT is much more exhausting imo :)
It must feels so great to finally get there 🙂 Very well done! Congrats!
Thanks mate 🙌 It was a hard year of only training rhytmic sat to i finit and now I’m super happy to finally managed the direct entry and exit. Happy flying!
Insane bro, nice flying. Keep that reserve handy🤙
Thank‘s bro 🙌
wow very smooth, nice control!
Thank you mate 🙌
I’m gonna yak 🤮
Wait, i thought the darker blue is the lake and the light blue is the sky 🤔🔃
😁
seems smart to be over you glider while falling towards the earth...
This is why I stay away from fools that do this
Good idea!
Nice glider
Thanks Ser! Wen Pump?
Nice pilot
🚀🚀🚀
❤
It's videos like this that got me interested in flying. I'm stoked to learn the skills I need to do this. Thanks for posting it looked like a fun day
Thanks mate! I`m sure you will love paragliding. Happy flying 🙌
super clean Super chill music
Thanks ♥️
Gracias por compartir tu video. Buen analisis
Hi Richard, one question, how is the Gracchio MK2 for staring with acro? do you recomend it? I am also considering the BGD Epic 2. (I just want a wing to start with stalls and stuf and also be able to do some little XC)
How are the seasons in Portugal? Never been. Worth to go in January/February?
Depends a bit on where you are: In the Westcoast (From lissabon 1h south and 1.5h North) there are weeks where you can fly almost every day even in January and February. In the Algarve it’s a bit warmer and eventually also very good although somehow i find the north more interesting to fly. But sometimes you have also phases where you cant fly for more than one week but overall it’s one of the best spot in europe mainland in the winter 🙂
@@RichardLeitgeb Cool, thank you for the quick reply. I've heard similar but not first hand so very good to know. Do you have a solid winter location for coastal soaring other than Portugal or is it the best you've found close to Europe?
@@johnfunck The canary islands in spain (Lanzarote, Tenerifa) are very good as well. I`m currently in Sardegna, Italy and it`s flyable almost every day. But the best for me is Portugal, after that Lanzarote or Tenerifa :)
Hi, I fly with a MOUSTACHE 15 but I think to by a Puffin. I live in Portugal and sometimes I fly in Lagoa de Óbidos. Can you give your instagram to talk with you. Thanks a lot and sorry my English.
Ola Paulo! I unfortunatley dont have Insta but we can talk about here in the comments as i dont want to post my whatsapp here ;) I flew both and tried the Moustache from Leo as well. The Moustache is very cool and exciting to fly, altough I was sticking with the puffin. Why? Because the Puffin is almost the same fun you can have with the Moustache but it is much more versatile regarding usecases imo :) And now that Tom released the kite risers for puffin as well i think it is the perfect compromise. And also much cheaper ;)
Great tunes👌 lovely little vid, sums the Gracchio up nicely🤓👍
Thanks Martin! I really miss my Gracchio, had so much fun with it 🥲
Someone else with more acro (i fly more xc) background should comment but id recommend not putting your wrists through the toggles (in any pg but especially acro). Simply hold the handles. A bad twist could lock up your hands to where you cant reach your reserve. Happy flying!
Hi Mark! It depends a bit on the maneuver you want to fly - I have some friends who lost the brake handle during a dynamic maneuver due to not beeing trough the toggles and had massive fu**up! But you are right tough, it also can happen to beeing locked with your wrist but imo its the less risk so i prefer to fly with my wrists trougj the toggles :) Happy flying!
Leider gesperrt... Wäre ein schöner Ort
So, it's like a fast entry into a spiral but has dynamics of a fast entry sat? I think I did these on my last SIV, looks familiar. Probably not as good as you have done here! Cheers!
Mega top 🤪🤪🤪👌
Impressionnant 👌
Jakaś kurwa abstrakcja
I also tought this would be easy connection but I was wrong. Following the inside weightshift and after the spin slightly on the outside. Cool training tho, good job!
Coming to Portugal this year. Do they have a club to contact about flying there ?
Nice! I think portugal has not a lot of clubs or at least I’m not aware of it - But everyone I met so far is super friendly and happy to help out with flying site instructions. 🙌 You can also look for „voo libre“ i think there is a FB group if I recall correctly
Hi very cool 💪 where did you made this video?
Thanks 🙌 This was made in Obidos, Portugal west coast 🇵🇹
Please tell me how fast was the Puffin compare to that Mustache.
I tried the 22m2 Moustache and flew my 13m2 as well as the 16m2 puffin this day. It was the first time trying the Moustache and it was quite amazing how fast it is. Even tough it was 22m2 it was the same speed (hands fully up) as the puffin 13m2 (trims closed). It was definitely faster than the 16m2 puffin. But I would still not change the Moustache for my Puffins :)
@@RichardLeitgeb wow, thanks a lot for the info. :)
@@gkaarobert Sure buddy 🙌 Happy flying ☀️
Have you tried helico with gt?
Yes! Actually I was impressed about the acro abilities of the GT. With high wingloads this wing even does 1 1/2 turns of tumbling. The Helico is also much better with the GT compared to the gracchio
Try piloting the puffin on the Cs while on fully trims open.... you'll find the feel a lot more rigid. Wide swoopy lines with less recovery arc
Compared to „real“ speedwings I dont find the c steering as effective on the puffins with open trims. Back with the baby goose it was way better imo
Sweet 🤩
NICE VIDEO !!! the spot look's very very fun , how many knots of wind ? ty
Thanks 🙌 I think at the top it was around 22kt - Still had some forward movement with the Puffin so I guess it was not more than that :)
Nice !!! 😃👍💪 Question : How do you take off with the closed ears ? Did you maintain with your hand the ear riser ? 🤔 Thanks for your answer ! I would like to do this technique when strong wind on the take-off !
Thanks 🙌 I was holding just the inner A`s in one hand and the other lines in a way like when you are about to walk with the wing a few meters. When the wing is in a nice "rose" form I was just releasing the inner A and the outer A where still slack so it made the ears :) But tbh I cant replicate this all the time it just happens occasionally
@@RichardLeitgeb Ok, thanks for your answer ! I already tried to launch my paraglider like that but never manage it well. There is a video on RUclips with this technique "elephant launch" but no explanations (ruclips.net/video/5MLaWSR21Qs/видео.html)
Diese gut!
