    Hey Richard, you should come here where I live in Organya (Catalunya, Spain). It's a perfect spot for acro because you can do many trick rounds of more than 1000m and climb up again in less than 5 minutes without touching the ground with thermals and valley wind.

      Yes i would definitely would love to go Organya this year! It has to be so wonderful to do so many rounds a day :) Is May a good time to go there? Or better June/July?

    • @battestini8918
      @battestini8918 2 года назад +1

      @@RichardLeitgeb May is okay but there are less hours of sun, weaker thermals, less probability of a perfect day. June and July it's awesome, some days it is possible to fly till 23.00 h.
      If you come write me a message.

      @@RichardLeitgeb yeah of course, but I have to say that I'm quite a noob in flying jajajaj, and I don't do acro, just SIV maneuvers

      @@battestini8918 Thats absolutely no problem i think the first days I will also just enjoy my fights at magic mountain because I have no Base System or steerable rescue so I will probably only train some basic maneuvers :) 🙌

    Starting to look really good man! 🤩 what harness do you use by the way ? i saw in a previous video of yours that you had an advance easiness 3 - do you use it for any acro/freestyle training or only normal flying? I have the same harness too

    • @RichardLeitgeb
      @RichardLeitgeb  3 года назад +1

      Thanks man! 🙂 Yes i still use the easiness 3 with an additional frontreserve and found it quite comfortable for the maneuvers. But i think I‘m going to switch to an Acro Harness soon when I‘m going to learn the next tricks!

    • @Rytismp
      @Rytismp 3 года назад +1

      @@RichardLeitgeb Nice! Good to hear that you are using the same harness for this type of flying with stalls, hellis and other manouvres 🤩 The manual interestingly states that acro should not be done with the harness - but that SIV is okey to do, so i was a bit confused at first as to where the line from normal flying - to acro is according to Advance 😁

    • @Rytismp
      @Rytismp 3 года назад +1

      @@RichardLeitgeb are you going to switch to an acro wing to learn other manouvres? Or just keep on with the Gracchio? It seems to do really nice and stable Helis, and clean full stalls as i see? I have the goose mk3, thinking of starting to train some baby acro with it aswell soon

    • @RichardLeitgeb
      @RichardLeitgeb  3 года назад +1

      Yes i talked to a lot if Acro guys here and a lot of them started with a normal harness (But always with 2 reserves) till they reached a good level of Helico and as soon as they wanted to go for more dynamic maneuvers they switched for an Acro Harness. I was a bit concerned with the Easieness Harness especially because of that quicklock system at the legstraps but it was never a problem :) I think they only state it in the manual out of security reasons for them, the load it can take should be quite a lot! And in my opinion SAT and Fullstall is still the „SIV“ category and the Helico doesnt have a lot of G-force so i think for that maneuvers it‘s suitable!

    • @RichardLeitgeb
      @RichardLeitgeb  3 года назад +1

      Also the most Acro Pilots told me to keep the Wing till I‘m really confident with Heli‘s and only then switch to an Acro Wing. The owner of Little Cloud (Tom) told me that the new Gracchio is not very good for Heli because the Deepstall window is quite narrow and it‘s hard do keep it clean in a deepstall which demotivated me a bit and led me to the thinking that I would have faster progression with an Acro Wing. But I think it will be even better if i manage to do it with that wing and then be more safe when switching to an Acro Wing :) The goose MK3 is an awesome wing, it’s so dynamic! I think it is even a bit better for Acro then the Gracchio but thats just my guess. If you train over ground just get a frontcontainer just to be more safe and let’s rock! 🙌 Check out this video with the Goose MK2 it inspired me a lot! ruclips.net/video/UUOAxXJkvSM/видео.html

    Hey Richard
    Do you have any tips or key moments to share on how to get the helis stable? i just started learning them. thx

    • @RichardLeitgeb
      @RichardLeitgeb  2 года назад +1

      Hey! So what I found helpful is that as soon as you are in deepstall and want to start the heli, don’t release the outside brake too fast. If you release immediately after it starts to spin the outside will shoot too much and the heli gets unstable. Release it progressively in the first half turn then it’s easier to get it stable. But to be honest it really takes a lot of try’s until you get that sense and at one point it makes „click“ and you will get it stable :) Happy training 🙌

    • @741741
      @741741 2 года назад +1

      Thanks! I will try! Do you look up at the wing or should you keep looking straight ahead at the horizon? Also how or when do i need to pull to get it stable again if it went unstable? When the outside wants to shoot or after or during?
      thx a lot

    • @RichardLeitgeb

      @@741741 I would recommend to always look at the wing. It is much easier and you get less dizzy 😁 When you mastered the heli stable you can try to look to the horizon but at least for me it is more hard to stay stable when looking at the horizon. Regarding the stabilization of a an unstable heli: I still didn’t get that right but i think in theory you have to brake the outside quick when it shoots during the oscillation. I mostly stabilize heli by braking the outside slowly until the heli gets very slow and then release a bit and find this easier 🙂
